- "We loved our apartment which was the “biggy” and well worth the extra expense for a longer stay with two bedrooms, full kitchen and 2 sitting areas, bonus is the washer/dryer in the bathroom. We were on the 5th floor so above the noise and had the window open at night, the bedrooms are at the rear not street side so no noise. It is very secure, locked gate and door to access the building. Whilst the area will not suit everyone, it’s busy and “kebab land” no shortage of food, it’s multicultural and shabbier than the other sides of Oslo, it would be impossible to get such a great apartment at this price in a different area, the tube is 200m walk but we actually walked from the main train station off the airport train to the apartment in 15min with cases. The customer service from Bob is outstanding and when we got locked out it took 5min to re send our code, brilliant, definitely worth booking."

The bed is in a shared room(Office), it is a double loft-bed 3 meters above the floor. You have to climb up to the bed! Entire home is shared with us!

We have work and school and daily routines. There will be times when the kitchen is not perfectly cleaned, and when there is stuff laying around. But we hope you'll enjoy being a temporary part of our family!

The space
We offer a queen sized loft-bed elevated 3 meters above the floor in our office/guestroom, with a panorama window just by the bed.
You have to climb to get in to the bed, so look at the picture of the stairs. We find it easy to climb :) We normally work from here during workdays, but we can take our laptops out into the living room in the morning to give you some extra sleep time. But be aware it is a shared space during day time, and we will need to work from here, or use the computer during weekends from time to time.

Our entire house is open to use and we love having guests around, kitchen living room and what else you need, just basically feel like home! There will be space both in the refrigerator and cupboard for foods. A toilet is situated just outside your room and it is a bathroom with shower just down the stairs. There is lots of room out on the terrace and in the garden, and we also have a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi that is warm all year round.

Our home is unique in form of being a home. We invite you in to share with us the daily life of a family of four crazy loving people. The kids are 11 and 13 at this time and almost fluent in English. You are more than welcome to stay around and talk, play, make food or watch TV. Have a chat or just relax in the bean bag reading a book.
Or you can retreat up in to your bed, or one of the living room areas to get some space. There are a lot of hiking opportunities here, swimming and things to see. And a short bus ride in to Oslo city centre. We offer parking on our premises, and it is only a 7 min walk to the bus and closest shop.

During your stay
We will do our best to help you find your way around, answer any question or arrange things. We also love playing games, sit around and talk or watch TV together. And when possible would love to plan and share dinnertime together with you if you would like that. The three cats will also give you all their love, most likely way more than you ask of them ;)

Other things to note
Do remember that we are a family of four, with three social cats on top of that. Our home won't always be spot shine clean, and there will sometimes be children having fun or being angry and stomping around. But we do hope you'll enjoy being a part of our family. We do our best to include everyone in our house. And you can bring friends over anytime! :)

The space
Nesodden is a peninsula in the inner Oslo fjord.
The old historic house Villa Fredbo, (which means "peaceful living") is located at the west side with sun from morning to late evening. View to the fjord and pond in front of the house.

The cabin were built using mostly recycled materials.

Cozy and warm cabin in the yard of a beautiful historic home at Nesodden, less than one hour from Oslo. Easily accessible by public transport to Oslo and NYD (the diving shool at Fagerstrand). Peaceful surroundings, 5 minutes walk to the fjord and the forest right outside the fence.

Wake up in the morning listening to the birds singing. Nice view, close to the beach. The peninsula offers a lot of art and cultural activities.
Suitable for single renters or two people.

The orangery is 20-25 sqm, and contains a double bed (120x200 cm), a single bed if you are two friends renting, a couch with a table, a lounge chair, a cabinet and a dining table with chairs.
The room is well insulated and a heater is available so you can adjust the heat to your preference. During the coldest days in winter the room can be a little cold, but there have been renters living there all year for the last 4 years without any problems.

Guest access
The entire orangery will be your private room. There is a separate entrance to the shared rooms in the main house just a few meters away. I have 3-5 renters in total who share the kitchen, the dining- and living room with wifi, the toilet and a shower cabinet.

There is paid street parking/ or the nearest parking garage Vulkan parking garage, 100 meters away at Mathallen for payment. The parking garage has 102 charging points for electric cars.
You can stand for free in the street from 8 pm Saturday night until 9 am Monday morning.
