Check out was 10 am and we were abruptly greeted by the cleaner at 10:05 saying we needed to leave. Sorry but won't be staying here again!"

The home is located in a small but spacious mobile home park. There are 6 owner occupied homes and 4 additional short term rental properties. It is a quiet and peaceful location on a private drive.

The bus runs in front of the property on Highway 105, there are no Uber or Lyft drivers in the area. Bring your bikes or ATV if you wish.

PETS - If you plan to book with a pet there are strict pet policies that must be agreed to prior to booking. Any more than one pet must be approved in advance, all pets must be leashed at all times while in the park, and pets can never be left unattended in the home. All pet messes must be picked up from the yard prior to leaving.

Bring the family and enjoy our Sandy Toes Cottage. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. In 2007 our family went suddenly from two kids to four. We are a busy family and found that by the time we got done packing we were already worn out and we hadn't even been anywhere yet! So, we have furnished it with convenience for families in mind. The kids' room has two bunk beds and sleeps 4. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, with a memory foam mattress. There are plenty of linens, so you don’t need to pack extra blankets.

Westport is a fishing and ship building community that is quickly developing a reputation for great recreation as well. The beach is not at all crowded and sometimes even deserted if you get lucky. We have provided beach toys and chairs to share (because we were tired of packing them too!!!) We have provided things like a highchair and bed rail for the littlest visitors. We have a fully equipped kitchen including some extras like a bread machine and rice cooker. After a day at the beach the kids can play with all the toys, read a book or watch a movie while mom or dad makes dinner or takes in a movie as well.

The town of Westport has go karts, fun shops with nick knacks, fudge and saltwater taffy, a fleet of charter boats ready to take you fishing or whale watching, and a historic lighthouse. All of this can be reached by biking or hiking down the paved dune trail just down the street from Sandy Toes.

Even when it was sunny, we had the section of the beach closest to the cottage all to ourselves. The cottage was clean, homey, and had a bunch of fun amenities. The bicycles, dog toys, board games, charcoal bbq, and the somewhat private hot tub provided us with hours of entertainment. The tallest light house in the state is just a block away, and comes with a fascinating history lesson. On the way in to Wesport, grab some brats from Bay City Sausage and grill them on the deck. Work or homeschool at the beach. Grandma's House is 2 Bedrooms, including a queen in one room and a queen and twin in the other. We just installed a 2-3 person hot tub with a privacy fence. The large yard is fenced in and friendly for kids and pets. There is a firepit with wood provided. The roomy bright kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals. There is a washer and dryer and a full bathroom. The house is centrally located a short drive to the beach and the docks. Smart TV with Roku and Wi-fi are included. We have provided bikes, an umbrella stroller, kites, toys, including sand toys and games for the kids as well as books and movies.

The location is good...very close (about 5-6 minute drive) to beaches, restaurants, espresso stand and grocery store. Half Moon Bay is absolutely clean and a beautiful beach! The road the home is located (S Forrest) the cars go by very fast so be cautious if walking kids/dogs. Also the mosquitos (these tiny brown things called (No-see-ums) apparently called as they are so tiny they are difficult to see are vicious. I was bit over 30 times on a 45 minute walk. The next day I wore mosquito spray, but still managed to get bit a few more times. They go under loose clothing too. Overall Grandma's House and Westport was awesome. I just hated the mosquitos!"

We just completed a head-to-toe makeover of the home - new furniture, new beds, new bed linens and bath towels and fresh paint throughout. Refreshed bathroom and kitchen with new countertops, sink and all new dishware, pots/pans along with new kitchen gadgets and small appliances.

Shore's Edge is a great option for singles, couples and small families and groups to stay oceanfront. Often guests have to rent a larger, 4–5 bedroom oceanfront home. At Shore's Edge, our guests can be oceanfront without paying the price of a much larger home. Outstanding ocean views from the main level, nice oceanside deck, beach path out the back door and a one-of-a-kind nautical themed fire pit den. Dog friendly with an enclosed turnout area. Kid friendly too!

Shore's Edge is an ocean front home - guests are renting the 'left' side of the duplex. We cater to small families/groups and singles wanting a quiet stay at the beach. Our maximum occupancy is 4 guests total. With exception and advance communication and discussion/approval/fee, we may allow 5 guests. We may allow 5 guests if a family has 3 kids or traveling with a parent or grandparent. If you wish to reserve the home or have further questions - please email us with a tidbit about your guests and what brings you to the coast. It is important for us to be a good match for each other.

Shore's Edge is a two-level home. Parking is directly in front of the home. Guests enter the lower level. The lower level has two bedrooms, the bathroom and washer/dryer. The primary bedroom is king bed, and the second bedroom is a queen.

The upper level is an open floor plan - living room, dining and kitchen. Enjoy ocean views while cooking, eating, playing a board game or watching TV. The wood stove (wood provided) adds to the atmosphere on a winter coastal night.

There is a 50-inch Smart TV with 70 plus live and local channels available on YouTubeTV. Guests may use their Amazon, Netflix or Disney, etc accounts on the TV. Xfinity internet is available. We have a selection of board games.

The oceanside deck offers a nice variety of quality outdoor furniture. There is plenty of room for a BBQ, outdoor dining or conversing with the ocean view. The backyard has additional seating and a picnic table. The private beach path leads to the ocean. Midway there is a bench that is perfect for ocean watching.

Guests can enjoy our one of a kind nautical themed firepit den. It's an excellent space to enjoy an evening fire or just sit and converse or read a book. Fires must not be left unattended and must be completely extinguished before leaving it for the night. At times there may be county or state burn bans which prevent the fire pit from being used.

On the side of the home is an enclosed dog turnout area. We are dog friendly, with a 2-dog maximum. We will consider more than 2 dogs, but prior discussion and approval is required. Dogs are not permitted to be on the furniture or bedding. Dogs must be cleaned up after and must be on a leash while on property - dogs can't be allowed to roam onto neighbor's properties. If you are not in agreement with the above, then we are not a good option for you - please do not reserve the home. If you do want to bring your dog and are in agreement with our rules, send us a tidbit about your dog with breed, age etc.

Our section of beach does not allow car traffic from mid-April thru Labor Day. It is an excellent stretch of beach for walking, taking the dog out and searching for sand dollars, rocks and shells. During winter storms, the stair portion of the beach access may at times get washed away.

Shore's Edge is a unique oceanfront property - please make sure to read our entire listing description. If you would like to reserve the home, please include a tidbit about yourself and what brings you to the coast. If applicable, include any pet information. We are available to answer any questions you may have or help you decide which of our vacation homes is best suited for your stay.

We have created a restaurant, retail and 'things to do guide' for the area. Once the reservation is made, we can send this information to you. We are also available to answer questions about the area and help make your trip as enjoyable as possible.
