The space
Kawagoe is a 2 Bedroom Apartment located on the 2nd Floor (Middle). Named after an Edo-period castle town in Tokyo known for its clay warehouse and sweets shop in Candy Alley.
4 guests would comfortably enjoy the small cosy space with 2 Bedrooms (1 Queen Size bed and 2 Single Size beds) and an open plan Living Area, Dining and Kitchen.
The En-suite facility includes a shower heater.
The bridged entrance to the apartment is lined with Jasmine shrubs of which fragrant flowers usually bloom during new or full moon.
Guest access
Kawagoe apartment is accessible via a flight of stairs onto a tiny bridge for the top parking area. While the campfire area is nearby, the reception, cafe, restaurant, and Yukata Studio are a short walk downhill.

The road leading into our property is not in good condition as part of the asphalt road has fallen into disrepair. It is advised that guests do come in a 4x4 able car, although a small Sedan type could still access the road with slight difficulty. The road is also narrow and consists of a few tight turns, do drive slowly and watch out for incoming traffic reflected on the mirrors we've installed.
We are surrounded by a secondary jungle and it is quite normal for insects and small creatures to accidentally enter the homestays, do keep the windows and doors shut to help prevent this. Turning off the lights when not in use would also help as the lights do attract insects. We recommend guests bring their own insect repellent.
Please bring your own food supplies and fully utilise our kitchen. A portable BBQ and steamboat pot are available upon request (charges apply).

We are 2km from kundasang town on the way to mesilou. The most famous New Zealand Dairy Cow - Desa Farm is only 1.6km, Maragang Hill Office 3.1km, kinabalu park 8.4km, ranau town 17km, luanti fish spa and sabah tea 33km, hot spring 27km and many other places.
Please take note, this is only an homestay, not a 5 star resort, it might be below your expectation.

Izu-Kogen Honeymoon Suite, named after the town on the Japanese Izu Peninsula where we spent our honeymoon, is a single bedroom for 2 with an open concept living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Located on the 3rd Floor (Top Most), the spaces are divided by glass sliding doors that let in natural light, and a wrap-around balcony gives a perfect panoramic vista. The en-suite facility is equipped with a Japanese soaking tub and a separated shower heater.
Once our personal home, it has sheltered us, kept us warm, and held many family dinners until we outgrew it. We're certain that it will continue to keep its guests safe, warm, and loved.
*The hidden serving hatch elevates the term "Bed and Breakfast" to a whole (or hole) other level.

Meguro Suite is a 2 Bedroom Apartment located on the 2nd Floor (Middle). Named after the Meguro River in Tokyo of which Cherry Blossom Trees lined and beautifully transformed during the Hanami.

Most love the place for the clear Mt.Kinabalu view, lush forest surrounding, quiet and serene away from the busier Kundasang town, the comfy beds, colorful garden flowers and minimalist ambiance. The space
Azabu-Juban House is 3 Storey, 2 Bedroom House. Named after a district in Minato, Tokyo. It was the 1st town I stayed in on my first trip to Japan.
8 guests would comfortably enjoy the huge space. Split into 3 floors, the bedrooms located on the 2nd Floor (Top) and Lower Ground Floor (Bottom) are connected to the 1st Floor (Ground) Living Area, Dining Area and Kitchen via stairs.
Each Bedroom has 1 Queen Bed AND 2 Single Beds and are en-suite with shower heaters. While the 2nd Floor Bedroom Toilet and Shower facilities are accessed separately, the Lower Ground Bedroom En-suite has a Japanese Soaking Tub. An additional shower toilet is also located on the Ground floor.
The 1st Floor is an open plan with a raised Japanese Floor as the Living Area, a large dining table and a 4 hob gas stove and oven perfect for that large family gatherings. A small balcony overlooking Mount Kinabalu is accessible via 2 glass sliding doors, which makes it easier to enjoy your BBQs.
Fun fact, the original Azabu-Juban House was a tiny house but after listening to feedback from guests, it was completely renovated. It now even has a children's play area with their own toy kitchen.
