Old 19th century house made all about mud and wood.

It is situated in a wonderful enclave such as the Arribes del Douro Natural Park. This area offers a wide variety of attractive activities: boat rides around the Douro, horseback riding, visit to ecological wineries with tastings included, traditional Portuguese gastronomy, visit to castros and castles, visit to viewpoints over the Douro.

The space
A very charming rural accommodation where traditional construction elements have been preserved.

Stone walls, wooden beams, and rustic floors make this place a unique space to relax. The rooms all have a private bathroom. Three of them are suite two with a hot tub and another with a terrace.

All bedrooms have a fireplace. The main living room has a large granite fireplace that creates a wonderful atmosphere when turned on.

Guest access
The house has a spacious living room with armchairs, a large stone fireplace, and a 60-inch TV. This is an extremely cozy space where guests can socialize and have a snack.

We also have a kitchenette that is normally used by house staff to prepare breakfasts and some cold dishes.

In summer we open the patio. It is a traditional cobblestone pen with tables and chairs where you can have an evening drink.

During your stay
One of the features of our establishment is the family care we give our guests. We get them to feel right at home and generate even bonds of friendship that last beyond the stay.

The attention is 24 hours a day and we also try to advise and recommend routes and visits that allow our visitors to make the most of the time they stay with us.

Other things to note
One of the important aspects of our stay in our home is how nice the village where it is framed is. Bermellar is a super quiet idyllic place where walking its streets is a real relaxation exercise. It is a delight to tour its narrow cobblestone alleys, and its streets with small orchards and corrals. Bermellar surrounded by gentle hills and paths that enter their own arrivals with incomparable landscapes over the Huebra River ( tributary of the Douro). Its church, Romanesque style dates back to the 13th century and can be visited. Also hermitage is from that era and is an authentic architectural gem.
