- "I stayed in a six bed dorm and I am satisfied with the overall experience. It is everything you would expect from a hostel but with a few things that elevated the experience: 1. Clean shared bathrooms. Unlike the smelly and dark bathrooms I experienced in other hostels, the bathrooms here are modern, bright and cleaned every day 2. Common room with comfy sofa, TV and game consoles (I have not used them so I can't vouch if they work). 3. "Cafeteria" - Located one floor below the reception, I believe only open at day time. What I can say for sure is, in case you have not been impressed by the shared bathrooms outside of your room, the toilets here are as clean as the others and with stunning lighting. 4. Locker room for luggage - Next to the cafeteria, there are plenty of storage spaces. Not sure if you need to pay extra for it. 5. Garden - place to sit outdoor and hang your washing (important for later). There are also bike racks! 6. Towel can be borrowed free of charge, the catch is you need to leave a deposit (cash only) and will be fully refunded when you return it. 7. Convenient location - Multiple bus and tram stations within 10 minutes of walking Here are some minor complaints : 1. Room can be hot in the summer. However, it is uncommon for Polish buildings with AC or electric fans anyway. 2. Luggage space in the shared dorm is quite limited and inevitably will take up some common space 3. - "I had a great stay at this hostel. The entrance to the hostel seemed a bit dodge to start with but once inside it really is a beautiful hostel. The living area was great, the kitchen has everything you needed. Tea and coffee were complimentary all day and the breakfast in the morning was also included, the selection was small but enough, a few cereals, breads, cheeses, meats, fruits, spreads, biscuits etc. the rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. I stopped in the female only dorm which has it's own private bathroom. The staff were helpful. It's only a 10 minute walk from the old town and right next the the river. Less than a minute walk from multiple bus stops, making getting there from the airport super easy, just one bus ride away. I would happily stop there again. The only down side was the WiFi was a little bit temperamental, each room had it's own, I had to connect to most of the rooms WiFi just to get constant access. Also I had one night with no warm water for a shower but other than that great. "

You should not allow anyone to book into this place that does not speak Polish. I took a tram to Branowice Male, the last stop, and then walked 2.3 klm to get to this place. It really wasn't worth the effort. I paid 210 zlotys for 3 nights accommodation at the Bubble Hostel in Krakow, which gives you an idea of how much the owner of the 4Friends Hostel at 28 Lipca was trying to extort from me. - "I thought I had booked a hostel with a central location in Krakow, but it felt more like a shelter for homeless alcoholics. Just outside the Old Town, about a 10-minute walk to the center, right next to a bigger train station and with easy access to trams and buses across the city. On paper, that’s a good starting point, but that’s also where the positives end. The beds in the dorm were actually fine, and the bathrooms were generally okay, although one shower was broken and sprayed water in all directions. The real problem was safety. On the first day, a visibly drunk man without the door code suddenly appeared in our room. He was thrown out, and I assumed it was a one-off incident. The next day he came back, and this time with both the code to the room and the front door of the hostel itself. He was drunk, unkempt, and simply stumbled in as if he belonged there. Even worse, the staff did nothing to remove him or address the situation, which made the whole place feel completely unsafe. The day after, yet another drunk homeless man had access to the hostel. Most of the other guests were fine, and one of them shared my concerns. But after that incident, the atmosphere was ruined. Both the common areas and the rooms didn’t feel comfortable to use either, as some people hanging around seemed less like travelers and more like locals looking for a place to crash. I cannot recommend anyone else to go there, until there is proper control over who has access to the hostel."
