The hotel facilities are lovely, the room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with everything provided, including a menu of pillows! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the value for money for both the room and breakfast was outstanding. It is a little tricky to find the right road in, especially as sat nav got a little confused by the village roads - but it's possible to park up in the adjacent church square to unload and load the car, and the Hotel owners direct you to a free and safe parking area on the edge of the village. We loved this place and hope to have an opportunity to return sometime, and we will definitely recommend to our friends."

- "Not easy to find as it does not appear on my Sat Nav. However once you have reached Escatron you can pick up the signposts to the hotel. It is a quality 4* with large rooms and is set in an old monastery with extensive grounds. The hotel has been renovated to a high standard and we could not find any faults. We did not use the restaurant but had a snack in the bar. But once we had got over that hurdle the young lady showed us to our room. We were able to establish what time dinner and breakfast were, and what the wifi code is. None of this information was available in the room. We had aperatifs in the stylish bar area, served by the same young lady who was on reception, She was also helping in the restaurant later.There are some lovely areas laid for dining, in the old cellars and with a view of the courtyard, but the room they use for the restaurant is completely devois of character and lit only by overhead lighting. Like a conference space. The food was 'interesting'. We had the menu del dia for 18€ each, with wine and water on top. It was reasonable, but could have been executed to a higher standard as this is a 4* hotel. The 2 female waiting staff were pleasant, with one of them speaking good English. Breakfast was very good.
