The Indigo's interior (rooms, etc.) is filled with Peranakan-inspired decor. Staff couldn't be nicer. By this I mean when you use the sink, the shower drain makes a loud noise. It seems it is not properly vented and it is so loud it woke up my wife. The door to close the bathroom is the same door used for the shower door (that's how small it is) and the water leaks out from the shower to the bathroom floor. We had to ask for additional towels to line the floor since it was soaked. The breakfast food choices was poor and not tastey at all. We ate elsewhere. There is short staff since no one was available to help us with our luggage to bring up or down. The staff that was there were very nice and helpful. You have to enter via a shared entrance to another hotel, take one set of elevators to the 7th floor to get to the lobby and dining area, then take another set of elevators to go to your room. This was a hassle with the suitcases we had to load them up ourselves on a cart since there was no help, then take it to the 7th floor, walk through where everyone was eating, to then take a second set of elevators to go outside. Very disappointing for a Holiday Inn. We would never go back there again, unlike the Holiday Inn at Makati Philippines, which was outstanding and excellent."

- "Easy check in and check out" - "The hotel location is great, next to Shopping Mall, hotel staff is polite and has pre-arranged the hotel floor which I wanted, thank you" - "Hotel 81 Changi is what it is: a budget hotel. Do not expect anything but a place to sleep. The rooms are small but adequate. No issues with the beds or the room service. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that was because of a Crain on the floor. There is a bath and handheld shower. There was no shower curtain, and the main bathroom floor was a wet room floor. They expect "spillage" from the shower, thus the main drain. Good area and good local food all around, including a coffee stall. Good transport links. A bus stop right outside, and MRT is pretty close. I found it pleasant to stay there."
