Only problem was that while we were there, the new public transport system was being installed on Rue Siam and the whole main street was in turmoil. Updated rooms had everything you needed even if small. Sound proof window shut out all city noise although it made the room too hot. Great shower and bed. Ocean view from top floor. There is a car park across the road at 4.5 euros for 24h and we didn’t have any problems finding space, but it may be trickier in the summer. We found it convenient to walk into downtown from the hotel. I was happy that there was free off street parking. That was the deciding factor me in the end. The front desk provided excellent service. Every question I had, they were gracious and helpful. There are a few cosmetic issues - peeling plaster or paint in the shower in one room and a broken bedside light in the other, but the nice location and parking lot parking mattered WAY more. So much that after our initial two night stay I booked a second one night stay two weeks later when I was back in the area."
