And the London Inn Pub and Restaurant makes absolutely fantastic cocktails, has a great selection of wine and beer, with a pool table and very often live music. The manager, Miss Pan is a wonderful manager who always makes my family feel very welcome and at home there. I don't think there are laundry facilities but if you go around the corner you can do your washing in a machine for 20 baht in a mam/pap shop. The room was large, decor ok, plenty of plug sockets, wifi included (generally stable) and even some non-Thai TV channels (including BBC news). Minor quibbles are that the walls seem very thin so I could hear next door's TV very clearly and the shower wasn't very hot but these are very small points. Room/hotel was very clean throughout, incidentally. I extended my stay and would stay here again if in KK. Perfect if you don't mind staying a little distance away from the city. "

- "I extended my stay. Super staff." - "Did a Google location search and lucked out that The Terminal was 3km away. Neighborhood is typical for "cities" that far from Bangkok, and feels safe. Tesco 24/7 just down the street. They have a bicycle which is fun. We loved the style here. Well crafted cement walls and floors (room carpeted.) The hotel looked as if it opened the week before. But the big successful part of the hotel is the theme of trains and railroads. To complete the immersion, real trains pass by a not 30 meters away. There are warning bells at a cross, so maybe the train won't scare the **** out of you when you're asleep. Me: I loved it and if I ever pass thru again I'll go.
