- "This is second time we stayed here… Place is well maintained and still in very good condition despite our last visit pre-covid in 2018. Highly commend service of check-in staff Nit Gan especially since male guest in front of us gave her a long and super hard time but she didn’t flinch a beat and served us with super efficiency and accommodate our request for early check-in despite we arriving at around 1pm. Housekeeping team cleaned up the room very well plus very prompt to provide us with additional pillows and ice. This is definitely the best hotel on the stretch and will choose to stay here again for my next trip to Haikou."

The hotel was great (especially by Chinese standards), but it was a long way from the airport, adding on quite a bit of cab fare costs for a very short (5 hour) stay. Had high expectations as I last visited in 2018 and this was still building and I stay at nearby Hilton Haikou. A few issues we had which is why we gave 3-star rating: 1. The hotel’s main lobby and breakfast at all day dining area was located at 35th and 34th floor respectively but the rooms are located at lower levels… very odd planning 2. The corridor way from lift lobby to rooms are designed using dark colors… makes it feel narrow and not so welcoming as we walked to our room. 3. Was on 24th floor also and some hotel guests smoking in their rooms even though it’s a non-smoking hotel and these inconsiderate guests left they room doors open allowing cigarette smoke to flow into corridor way. 4. I saw a couple of times housekeeping team passed by and nothing was done over the course of my 3D2N stay… therefore the 4-star ratings on staff service 5. While the hotel is only 3 years old and factoring the pandemic, condition of property pales in comparison to Hilton Haikou which we went over for dinner on 1 of the night during our stay. The next time we visit Haikou, unlikely we will stay at this hotel again… I have severe allergies issue and the cigarette smell given it’s central air conditioning gave me quite a bit of issue during my stay. - "Completely resort atmosphere!!" - "Hainan has been labeled China's Hawaii, and on a recent business trip to Guangzhou, I decided to spend the weekend in Haikou (about a 1 hr flight from Guangzhou). While Hainan and Haikou does not come close to Hawaii either in beauty or amenities, the Sheraton Haikou Resort, located on Holiday Beach, a 3 mile long beach to the west of Haikou, is a world-class resort. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. with easy access to the beach. The rooms are nicely decorated and have many touches one would expect to find in a luxury boutique hotel (e.g. free standing "designer" bathtub). Good restaurants, and one of the best breakfasts I've had while in China. The spa has a mineral hot spring that's fed from a source 700 meters below the ground."

- "The room I picked with the picture of the toilet next to the sink turned out to be a dated room with a pretty hard bed and a bit musty smell. The folks thought I would be happier with one of their updated rooms (the one with the room that shows a toilet with a phone next to it and a glass door). Boy were they right...updated room, comfortable bed, and walk in shower with great pressure! The breakfast that came with the meal was outstanding, made to order eggs, and multiple regional, and western choices, fruits, juices, bread, and coffee. Overall Great Hotel! "
