- "Our room was very spacious, but basic. No frills at all. The heated pool was lovely, but after swimming peacefully for about 15 minutes my husband joined me and so did a staff member. She sat on a chair and did a speaker phone call with family (including an excited, screaming child) and ruined the whole peaceful o space. - "It is rather hard to get to Mai Chau but we think it is worth a visit. Staff is really friendly and nice but their English is not that good so google translate was a great help. Place is charming, comfortable but a bit basic.. The scenery is breathtaking and they lend you bicycle for a ride…which we did! It was hard work but SO so worth it! The pool is very handy and cold (for a change) so just the ticket when it is so hot! ‘The breakfast is a bit basic but it’s in a very remote area. Not for everyone but a really lovely spot. Will remember the lovely staff and the magical scenery! "
