Dinner menu a bit limited esp. for younger children and on the ‘fancy’ end of the spectrum (and some dishes were rather style over substance). Can eat out or get takeaway pizza in the next village. - "We took the last room for our 2 nights stay - it was a ground floor handicap room that we were not made aware of. We will not make this mistake again. The hotel is in a perfect location for town & beach it’s a wonderful part of France." - "I loved La Chaize Hotel. It was perfect for what i needed. The gentleman who checked me in gave me the best advice for hiking (more like walking) and biking. He also recommended great restaurants close by. Be sure to ask if you don’t get recommendations as i noticed that some of the staff did not provide any advices to some other guests. I rented an electric bike from the hotel which was perfect for biking all around the island. Be sure to drive or bike through the Passage du Gois at low tide. The only thing i would not necessarily recommend is room 8 (the one with the big triangle balcony). The room was great but it is located right above the hotel laundry room and receiving area so it is quite noisy. "
