- "Wonderful hotel and town for a romantic rendez-vous. If, however, like me you are travelling with your children: they will love it! 3 pools: indoor, 2 outdoor. Children's indoor and outdoor play areas. Child sized robes. Now the practicalities: Rooms were priced well however we did not eat in the hotel due to high prices. St.Hubert has a daily special and is onsite: 6.95$ for a chicken dinner. Fridge in room is a drink fridge only and full. I used a cooler and kept changing the ice. "Cot" was actually a large and solid twin bed: very comfortable. Children's activities only go ahead if enough kids sign up so not a guarantee. Marguerita at pool bar was exceptional: 16$, and expensive but I do recommend having at least one per day. There is a fire at 8 pm: with big chairs and little chairs: I recommend going. Hill near fire pit great for log rolling. Bring fancy clothes if you wish: this is a hotel where you could wear something fancy especially if you can afford a meal! In my casual travel wear I felt under dressed. Look around the hotel: find the giant glass chandeliers, the bee hive and the old phone booths. Walk or drive to the Quai: Chez Chantal: Lobster roll was 10/10: lots of lobster. These are called Guedilles de l'homard and are lobster, mayo in a hotdog bun. A personal fav of mine. 13-14$ with fries: and the fries were awesome ( I'm not even a fan of fries). Things I didn't get to do: Casino: looked fun! Golf. Whale cruise. Cheers!"

Having had the pleasure of staying here twice during my two-way journey to the North Shore. I think it is a excellent place to stop for the night half-way on a trip to national parks, or alternatively, to stay locally to explore the nearby Charlevoix region by car. It is situated on a headland with beautiful views of the Saint Lawrence river. The installations are bucolic: an ancient country house, and its dependences, converted with attention to every detail, into a very comfortable hotel. It is possible to do a very pleasant walk down the hill to a charming harbor. I also read that there are very nice cultivated gardens nearby (the "Jardins de Cap-à-l'aigle"). I can confirm there is good wifi, the breakfast is great, the place is well-managed and very clean. Its situation in Cap-à-l'aigle has the advantage of it being a calm and rural place, situated at a distance from centretown, which is still very close to access by car for dinner (many good restaurants). "
