- "Hotel is old but clean, location is limited with dining " - "The hotel is in a very good position, near to the jetty and all local eateries. Our room was great with partial sea view and view over the trees complete with monkeys. The room was comfortable and the balcony nice. Best of all the staff were wonderful from reception to catering to cleaning - all treated us well. My only gripes are that the hotel on the whole was only superficially clean and some of the hot food was less than hot but having said thatI would recommend the Orient Star."

- "When arrived i was looking for a parking and saw the swimming pool was so dirty, ugly and i might say suitable for the monkeys to swim not human. But during check in, the staff mentioned the pool is close now and we can enjoy swimming and breakfast at next door hotel which is make me and my mum smiling again. On my booking, I choose a room with 1 queen bed but surprisingly our room had 2 queen bed and again we were happy stayed there with my 1 year old baby. "

- "The cleanliness the one we could not tolerate at all. Found hair on the bedsheet. Wondering what happen there. Toilet slightly smelly maybe from ineffective seawage eventhough seems clean." - "The hallway was dark. Our toilet got blocked and they asked us to change room. When we returned they was no room available and they offer us a room to take shower and have to wait for the boss to return before a room is available because there was no key to the room that was available. He also told us that we need to change room again the next day. We asked for a refund since at that point there was no room available for us and the staff said he can’t refund. Eventually he offered us a family room which the pillowcases and bedsheets does not looks clean and smells. It’s very disappointing with the condition of the accommodation and can’t wait to get out of it. However I have to say that the staff was quite nice even though the condition of the accommodation is not good."
