- "Nice and quiet area located " - "First things first: the location is THE ONLY problem with this property. The facilities, cleanliness, service, dining, etc. etc. are all top notch. Frankly, I didn’t expect such a great hotel with SUPER sophisticated service in the middle of nowhere in Hokkaido. The staff are attentive, kind and polite, and there is literally nothing to complain about. While the bldg isn’t new by any means, it has been meticulously maintained. With this said, unfortunately, the location is going to be an issue if you aren’t either driving or comfortable taking taxis to go anywhere. It is not within walking distance of the transportation hubs, and the Aeon shopping mall 5 minutes away is the only commercial establishment in the area. So, you are pretty much stuck at the hotel unless you drive/take taxis. Although it is truly an amazing hotel, thus, the location can be a major drawback. As long as you are okay with its location, there won’t be a better hotel. "

- "Nice place. One of the better APA hotel. Their pillow is good and I was tempted to purchase one of it. Please note that other APA hotels don't sell them except online. Edit: This is my 2nd stay in this property. The exceptional staff named 菊地 sure knows how to read my mind when I asked her for assistance! When I am back in Obihiro, I will definitely come back again. Car park wise, there are guide (from the pamphlets) make sure you ask the staff where you are located at and also use Google Translate!"

- "First, the Route Inn chain is equivalent to "Motel 8" or the "Red Roof Inn" in concept. So, this no-frills hotel is not meant to be a full service establishment. With this in mind, this hotel far exceeded our expectations! It is situated steps from the JR Obihiro Station, and there are many restaurants and bars only a couple of blocks away. The staff was friendly, helpful and courtrous, and they maintain the building very clean and updated. Unfortunately, there is no "Japanese atmosphere" and the decoration is totally western. The hotel, thus, isn't "sexy" in any way. The breakfast buffet was quite nice, as well--and they had a delicious selection of breads. The best feature of the hotel is their onsen spa facilities. Who'd expect such nice onsen in an unassuming hotel like this one! All in all, I had a wonderful time, and I'd highly recommend it."
