One big caveat: If you have difficulty with stairs, this is unfortunately not the place for you, because you need to use stairs to get to any room from the front or back doors of the building, AND you need to climb stairs to reach the bathroom inside your loft suite, even if you're sleeping in the downstairs bed. (At least that was the case for our room.) The public parking lot at the back of the building has several Chargepoint electric vehicle charging spots, though you need to pay for parking to use them (except on Sunday). The parking that's included with the room is across Ontario St. underground, and you are given a garage door clicker to get in and out (bring your room key to get into the pedestrian door from the street). If you are prone to "waking up with the sun", be aware that there are no room-darkening blinds to close on the large translucent window panels. "

- "Unfortunately we were not able to stay in flat 9 as the bathroom door was locked from the inside when we arrived. There is no one on site to help. We were directed into another flat which was beautiful but not cleaned. We ended up in flat 3, which also was beautiful. The decor is gorgeous, the bed extremely comfortable. For the second day, we did not get the room refreshed although it was requested. We were able to get some fresh towels brought over. I was disappointed as I really had high hopes. I'm hoping someone will at least reach out to refund the difference in what I paid for flat 9 and the rate for flat 3."

- "This place is made for tv. Totally impractical as an actual place to stay. The tub and shower situation is outright dangerous. Good location. Not enough standard hotel amenities (closet, hangers, iron, etc) I feel bad for the owner because they got stuck with a money-pit."

- "With the transition from the previous owners to new owners, there is a lot that still needs to be worked out. The Flat itself is lovely, but it has not been well maintained (when I pulled open the drawers of the dresser, the drawer handles fell off, not once but several times, the walk-in closet has no light and no clothes rod for hanging clothes, etc.). And while the Flat had been well cleaned, we arrived to find no towels, almost no toilet paper, no paper towels (which are supposed to be available in the kitchen). We contacted management, but with no one on-site or even in the same city, they didn't seem to know how to fix these problems. Lastly, while the Flat is quirky and attractive, there are aspects that make it less than functional - air conditioning in the bedroom only, high ceilings (lovely!) that result in poor lighting, etc.. I wanted to love the place, but there are currently too many small problems that made our stay awkward and more uncomfortable than it should have been. These are all things that the new owners can work out, if they choose, which would turn Hotel Julie into a great place to stay."
