But we had one problem with the aircon. It was stuffy night and quite humid but no aircon was working after 8pm. The sea breeze was nice and cool so we were adviced to open the window. Please don’t get me wrong, the staff who spoke to us was very apologetic and politely explained the hotel policy the reason why the aircon was turned off at 8pm and it wasn’t his fault at all. Anyway, we opened the window then the little flies/mosquitoes were gathering on the ceiling. My husband had to use tissues to kill them all. That wasn’t present at all but otherwise I will rate 10/10. Like I mentioned the beginning, all staff were welcoming us and gave us superb service. I have to mention that the breakfast buffet was nice as there were plenty of choice and all waiters and cooks gave us a great service. The location was perfect. Nice beach walk and easy access to Piran. If you want to visit Škocjan cave, it is easy drive. As we chose to visit Slovenia in off peak season, the beach side was very quiet but I am sure it will be lively and fun atmosphere in summer. Although we had an aircon problem in the off peak season, we would love to come back and stay at Hotel Slovenia without a doubt."

- "Lovely hotel in a complex with 2 others who share an excellent indoor pool facility and a good outdoor space with a pool, splash park and sun loungers with access to the sea. Breakfast was busy but very good, we ate at the restaurant once which was very nice. Room was nice and very modern, comfortable bed and good shower. Wi-Fi very good. Very strict on checking in at 3 but you can leave luggage. Had to pay for loungers and parasol (23EUR per day for 2 beds and a parasol on the beach (cheaper in the pool area but limited numbers in there). Tricky with a pram re stairs as our floor didn’t have access from the lift so we had to lift the pram up them (wouldn’t work with a wheelchair). Great location for walking to either Piran or Portoroz (20 mins) both of which offer lots of places to eat and bars and just nice to walk around. The complex area itself is great as it has a few places to eat, a shop and some tourist type shops. We were really happy and would happily stay here again. "

Bad The AC in the rooms is poor - we changed rooms twice and the lowest it would go to (after many hours) was 24 deg C. Sweaty sleeping. No loungers at the beach (as advertised in the listing) unless you want to play a daily fee. Should be included for hotel guests. Ridiculous sign in (security) for indoor pools (each person must have their own room card and also sign out with it. Multi gendered change room for pools does not work - needs separate change rooms for privacy. Good Breakfast Staff tried their best to help us with the AC issue, but it was a building system issue that they could not fix. Chairs available on pool deck at hotel or sub lounging. Property, for the price is not worth it. "

- "The hotel is right next to the bus stop so you can go to dinner in Piran every evening. " - "Nice hotel close to the beach. Staff is friendly, and all of them are multi-language. Room is quite new, only 3 problem: 1. They don't cleaning anything during a week, just changeing the towels, emptying the garbage bins, and do the bed. After a few days we have had some dirt on the floor. Overall we shared our room with 2 spiders in the upper corners... 2. For 2 person they just push together 2 beds, we haven't got a king size bed. 3. No frigerator. Food is delicious, you should take half board at least!! After 4-5 days the breakfast is a little bit boring, but tasty and fresh!! The dinner is variable, they always took fish. Everything is absolute fresh (foods, salads, others)! Great cakes! They have an outdoor pool near to the hotel, it's great and free! They have rental bikes for free, but only 3 (!!!) bikes are available!!?? Bad decision.. Parking is 14 EUR for a day, it's not cheap, but you can't find cheaper nearby. We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday during our stay, and the staff put a surprise cake into our room, meanwhile we went to the beach!!! Awesome!!! :D They have some small things, but overall are absolute worth to stay!! Thanks!!!!"
