We rarely bothered with breakfast as the quality was not overly good, but again we knew that. The pool is beautiful and the pool and groundsmen pretty good when not arguing with private apartment guests over sun beds (apparently they are not allowed to use). No complaints about the cleanliness and the location is perfect for exploring the island. Right up until the last day we would have considered returning. However, the incompetence and rudeness of reception staff put that very firmly out of our minds. On Friday evening I approached reception to enquire about a late check out on Sunday. A very pleasant member of staff advised me that there was no need to pay for an extension as this was free to longer term guests (2 weeks). We were very happy with this. On Saturday I returned again to reception just to confirm our departure time. We were advised that no such request had been made. And, to be honest were spoken to quite badly, although eventually the staff member did begrudgingly confirm. Today, whilst I was leisurely soaking in the bath, there was a hard angry banging on the door. My husband answered and was faced with another member of reception staff and ‘security’ demanding to know why we hadn’t check out. I felt like a criminal and we decided to get out as early as possible, leaving for the airport 5 hours before required. Won’t be back "

The hop on hop off bus is right in front of the Straits Quay - as is the local bus stop. You can easily catch a "Grab" car to take you anywhere on the island. Ken from Profolio was very helpful and accommodating. "

- "For Expedia review of the Rainbow Paradise hotel: The rainbow paradise hotel is a beach front property which is a major plus. However, we face two major disappointments! 1. The front reception staff (particularly Yasmin) are quite unfriendly! 2. The room we got on the 12th floor was disgusting. The washrooms are old and sofas are worn out, hallways and elevators are so in need of renovations!!! We booked a family room with 1 king and 2 twins, 3 beds in total with breakfast but they gave us the wrong room with only 2 beds. When we pointed this out, they said the option for 3 beds DO NOT exist. they have this option, We had to pull out our booking confirmation to show them the details and then they gave us the right room and said this booking doesn’t come with breakfast! We again had to do pull out the confirmation again to prove it. I find the front reception staff are super difficult to deal with and they have no smiles at all. We asked for extra towels because they only gave us one towel each, no smaller size one and they tried to charge us. Most hotels will give you extra towels, one big one small and would gladly give you extra. I have never had such bad experiences with hotels around the world as I did with this one. Google gave this hotel 4 star which is a joke! If you have no standards and you love the beach, then stay in this hotel! On the way to this hotel, even the local taxi driver told us this is NOT a friendly hotel!"
