- "The stay was disappointing for a 4-star hotel and felt overpriced for the value and service you get. The sharp mildew smell from the kitchenette basin table top in the bedroom amd the closet behind the shower was unbearable. It seems the aircon also leaks onto the wood. The front door handle was loose as if broken before, which made us uneasy with the intense website warning of potential trespassers. Security at the entrance gate was very friendly, but didn't once scan/record a driver's/car license. Alot of the lady staff have attitude and should go on a friendliness / hospitality etiquette course. "

- "Amazing place to stay with amazing hosts. Close enough to walk to the CBD if you are prepared and brave enough to conquer/tackle the uphill on the way back. For me it was perfect preparation to running the Knysna Forest Marathon. The room has everything one requires and more: WiFi, hairdryer, fridge, kettle, heater, shower and small touches such as OBS and snacks on arrival as well as a torch in case of a power failure or emergency. The fact that DSTV was not available in the room itself, but in the the common lounge, could be a negative, but would not prevent me from going there again. The blankets provided is a nice touch, but perhaps a fire in the fire place could add even some more warmth and cosiness. The hosts Kevin and Betsie go out of their way to help. On arrival the host Kevin, in particular was very helpful and patient with the born before technology person to install a code for the safe and provided a map of Knysna as well as suggestions for eat out. Breakfast was adequate and was even provided very early on Saturday morning prior to my departure to the start of the Knysna Marathon and upon my arrival back in my room, yoghurt, muesli, fruit salad and a banana and orange was left in the kitchen, ready for my early departure (06:00) on Sunday morning. - "Really great room with a kitchenette and a small shared courtyard. I was worried at first because in a page left on the bed there were multiple comments ab of it keeping noise down and there were ear plugs left for the guest which made me think it was going to really loud. It wasn't. I liked the location because it's super convenient to grocery stores and the tourist info ctr is next store. The walk to the waterfront is easy and less than 10 minutes and safe even after.dark on the main roads. The owner was really nice and even did a small load of laundry for me which they don't offer. The only negative is that the wifi isnt good. Make sure you have plenty of data."
