Hotel check in team and concierge (Mark) are wonderful so make sure to check in with him for assistance with booking park tickets, restaurant recommendations, and tips on how to navigate the 4 day itinerary in the area. Massage on site is great and at reasonable cost. Rooms are slightly dated and in the wintertime, all public areas are very cold due to heat not being turned on. Only downside to our stay is the terrible breakfast. Coffee is undrinkable but manager offered better Italian style coffee from the bar. Still better off going to Luckin across the street. Dinner is equally bad, but we also preferred Cantonese options since we can't handle the seasoning of Hunan cuisine. Location of hotel can't be anymore prime, within walking distance to the main park and downtown area with Hey Tea, shopping, and other dining options. Pool looks lovely but obviously closed during winter."

- "We reserved two rooms for a family of four for 4 nights. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable! We enjoyed the fresh room every day after a long walking tour. Breakfast is free and has lots of selection. It has a tour information desk offer online tickets booking with no extra fees. Ken, the Duty Manager, and his staff were extremely helpful in recommending routes to take to make the best use of the four-day pass into the Park. He helped us book and buy tickets and arrange transport to and back from the other sites in Zhangjiajie. I was able to understand his English enough to find my way to the best views of the Park. - "This hotel is a beautiful old building with spacious peaceful courtyards. The location is great. However, it is very rundown - I'm not talking about faded elegance - I'm talking about neglect and poor management. I have the impression that the owners are running this place into the ground with a view to demolition in the near future, so that it can be replaced with one of the ugly, but doubtless more profitable, glass and concrete boxes that already surround it. The bathroom was filthy, covered in green and black mold. The shower curtain was filthy, torn and attached by safety pins. Hot (or rather warm) water was unreliable. The towels looked about 20 years old and some had holes in them. The room was dusty and poorly maintained, lots of small issues with things like lights and the kettle. The buffet Breakfast (Chinese style) is included, and isn't at all bad. Staff were uninterested and unhelpful - even when dealing with fluent Mandarin speakers. Toilet paper is regarded as a luxury to be dispensed with sulking reluctance only after an extended argument. Overall this is an overpriced, rundown, poorly run establishment. Avoid this hotel, try one of the many nearby hotels."

- "I was a little skeptical when booking this stay due to a lack of review availability. I was later told that this was their first time on Expedia. That being said, I’m very glad to have booked this stay. Mr. Wang did a great job, he was always available, did his best to give recommendations and communicate. He even made sure that I ate and was comfortable. I stayed in tent 2 which had a gorgeous view. This was a perfect place to stay for a few nights stay, but even if you wanted to stay longer you definitely could! They had many amenities, just like your luxury hotels. The location might be a little secluded but that adds to the experience of glamping. Thank you all for making my first experience in Zhangjiajie smooth and comfortable. - Mimi :) "
