We recommended to rent a car or hire private transportation, uber is not legal in Cancun and there is not walking distance public transportation/stores.
It´s only 8 min by car from the airport, 10 min Cumbres Shopping center (Supermarket, cinemas, pharmacy, etc),15-20 min beaches and hotel zone, 50 min Playa del Carmen and Xcaret.

Muy cercano al aeropuerto la colonia de los Doctores en Bonfil es un fraccionamiento de residencias de tipo campestres en una zona rural ejidal.
En el ejido Bonfil se pueden encontrar los servicios de un típico pueblo de México, tales como tortillerías, cremerías, fruterías, una plaza, la iglesia, tacos etc.

Es importante contar con carro rentado. La ubicación es excelente ya que está a 5 minutos del aeropuerto, 10 minutos de la entrada a la zona hotelera y tiene un centro comercial a tan solo 5 kilómetros. Hay rutas de camiones, pero se debe caminar de 10 a 15 minutos para tomarlas.

- "Staying at this lovely, 2-bedroom guest house was perfect for our family of four. Our teenagers (a boy and a girl) each had their own bed and were Okay with sharing a room. There was a TV in each bedroom, and a loveseat and chair in each room, so we didn't really miss the "living room". The kitchen table was outside under the porch, so that's where we ate every meal, looking at the lovely grounds and swimming pool, and the mansion across the lawn! Luis, the son of the owners, was responsive and very nice. He even showed us the inside of the beautiful big house, still under construction through many years of love and planning. (No construction occurred while we were there.) Only the onsite caretaker, Esteban, was there, who worked but was respectful of our privacy. Mari, the housekeeper, does a great job for the family as well. When we arrived, Luis (who speaks excellent English) met us and showed us around and gave us the keys to the house, gate and the garage door opener. Other than Esteban, we had the place to ourselves. I loved the solitude and peacefulness. Even though this house is only two blocks from the highway, you couldn't hear any noise because of the buildings between, as well as the privacy walls surrounding the house, and trees. The dirt roads in the neighbourhood are full of potholes, unfortunately, and the neighbourhood could use a bit of cleaning up. When we arrived, we noticed that the coffee pot was missing, and Luis made sure Mari brought it from the big house. We tried to use their pots and pans, but the pot leaked from two tiny holes (couldn't see them unless you looked for them), and everything stuck to the bottom of both pans provided. We bought our own T-Fal pan, and Luis later brought over two usable teflon pans, and Mari brought us a pot we could use. All was well. We noticed lots of mosquitoes, but Luis provided a spray as well as citronella candles. Once you get the hang of the shower, you can have a hot water shower. It takes a while for it to come, though, but don't turn it off to save water or you'll be waiting for it to come back. I learned to have my shower at a little more than a trickle. The beds are comfortable, but there is certainly room in the master bedroom for a bigger bed, which would be great. All in all, we had a great time at this place and may be back! Thank you, Luis and family, for a lovely place to stay. "

- "Our stay at Mansion Giahn was a great start to our Mexican adventure. I was looking for a place close to the airport since our flight arrived late and we didn't want to drive far (we rented a car and were headed to Mahahual the next day). We had no problem finding the place using the map app on our phone. Parking isn't obvious - it's not the gate facing the main entrance but further down the street you'll see an alley-like road and you access parking through that. Joseph was there to greet us and show us around. Our room was clean and comfortable and worked well for our family of 6. We were provided with an extra bed which they set up for us. There was a woman cooking breakfast (additional cost) the next morning but we wanted to get on the road so we didn't eat there. I think I would describe the house as eclectic with a splash of quirkiness. My four kids (16+) thought it had some very cool features and enjoyed the uniqueness of the place. We were extremely grateful to Joseph for fronting us some pesos (we only had USD) to go grab a late dinner with the locals. The house is located in a neighborhood so you most likely need wheels to get around. Overall great place ... thanks Joseph!"

- "We were not happy at this location; we left 10 days early. At first they couldn’t find our reservation. The way it was handled they made it seem it was our fault somehow. I had to show him a copy of our paid reservation and a copy of our credit card record and finally explain to him to look on his Home Away records since they are associated. It didn’t make us feel welcome. Then there was the service. I don’t have a problem with making my own bed, sweeping etc. However, no clean sheets or towels were provided in 3 weeks! We had to go find our own every couple of days and then the boy thought we were stealing and locked the room where they were stored! Ditto with toilette paper. I’m afraid 3 rolls isn’t enough for 2 people for 3 weeks! Then there was the problem of the leaking bathroom sink. If you ran the water it dumped directly onto the floor. After 1 week they fixed that but it still dripped so much we had to empty a 2 litre container twice a day or it would be all over the floor. It was finally fixed after 2 weeks. Meanwhile the room smelled like sewer. We kept the windows open and bought an air freshener but it still smelled bad. Part of the smell was probably from the black mold on the walls. They had painted over it so it wasn’t obvious at first but after a few days we could see it through the paint. I think that is why I constantly woke up with bad headache also. The grounds are quite nice and the pool is kept clean except it is hard to avoid all the stuff falling from the trees. According to the description on VRBO/HomeAway there is a kitchen with a fridge, stove and utensils etc. There is but we were not allowed to use it! They did provide a small fridge in our room and also an electric hot plate after we complained. The “breakfast” provided is instant coffee (and tea) plus a loaf of bread so you can make toast. There were limited places to go out to eat close by. There was a bakery which has good coffee, a pizza place which wasn’t to our taste, and a small restaurant for dinner but she was closed half the time we were there due to renovations. Otherwise there was a mini-super down the road with BBQ chicken which was good and a very rustic small wooden Taco stand. An OXO opened the last week we were there. Don’t stay here unless you have a car! It is 20-25 minutes downtown or to the nearest public beach by car. I couldn’t find any information about a public bus- where to catch it, schedule, route or cost – although I did see a bus"

- "Our rental was booked from 27DEC23-03Jan24. A few days prior to the booking I had not heard any check in information yet and noticed that the rental had been blocked off everyday moving forward. I contacted the host through my VRBO app. The host responded to me through WhatsApp and asked me to message him through there as it was more convenient. I’m still not sure how he figured out who I was and how to contact me through the app but never the less I saved the conversations. Due to flight issues we didn’t end up arriving until the early hours of 28Dec23. The host insisted on meeting us at the rental. Upon the arrival and host tour we realized that the house was not what we were expecting. However with a group our size and the time of day we didn’t really have an option. After the tour was complete the host told us he had one request. He said that seeing as he waiting so late to show us around he would not be able to travel to his arranged homestead and would need to sleep in the storage closet. He told us he would be gone before we woke up. We soon then after went to bed ourselves. Upon laying down in our beds it was clear that the sheets had not been cleaned. Some of them had construction dust on them and some flat out smelt like body odour. Most of us slept in our full day cloths on top of the sheets. We spend a majority of the next day washing and drying the sheets after purchasing detergent. There were also no comforters or blankets on any of the beds."

- "Gina the owner was great. She greet us on the main road of the property, and made us feel safe on this house. She lives 2 blocks away and dona Mary the housekeeper lady cooked some meals for us. It was delicious (extra charge). Gina also gave us information of places to visit and restaurants. “Los Tacos de Asada” a little taco stand were so good. The pool and the backyard were so appealing. She also provided us a phone number for some personal uber drivers they were awesome and took us everywhere. The only thing that I can say is that the address provided didn't pull up for a lot of the taxi services whenever we didn't use the uber drivers that they provided. A/C worked and it felt so refreshing and we had extra food left over and Arlene said she would donate it which made me happy!"

Doctor´s Neighborhood is called this way because a lot of Cancun Doctors bought huge pieces of land and built Country type residences at a rural community called “Bonfil”.

At Bonfil you can find the services of a typical Mexican town, such as handmade tortillas, tacos, fresh cream and cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables etc.

It is important to have a car. The location is excellent since it is 5 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from the entrance to the hotel zone and has a shopping center just 5 kilometers away. There are local buses too, but you must walk 10 to 15 minutes to take them

For your cleaning services we have mops,rags and disposable towels please keep your towels clean(don't mop the floors with towels,don't put coconuts in the towels) towels that are too stained will be charged for at checkout.

Extraordinary location, very close to the airport (7 min.) and the beach (15 min). Managed by the owners, always taking care of the cleaning team and details. Outside you have Beer Cooler, tables, chairs and Weber Gas BBQ are provided along with two full bathrooms outside for when having a party.
