- "Lovely spacious living and kitchen area. Comfy and well equipped. Bathrooms good, with decent showers. All carpets need replacing, lots of stains and the outside area at the back wasn’t very inviting. Overall, we were happy with the accommodation. Great view and we would stay there again. "

- "we stayed here on new years eve from 31st Dec - 2nd Jan. during our stay there was an issue on the night of 31st Dec whereby the power to the property completely tripped out and would not come back on.we rang the emergency number and the caller advised we should check the fuse box and trip switches, which i did, this would not work. he also advised to turn large electrical items off which i did but again the power would not come back on.The emergency contact was not in a position to come to the property to help us nor did they have any other support for our situation. the only final advice was to look for another property. as it was 9.30pm on new years eve this was not possible for me, my wife and my 7 year old. we were left that night with no electricity, meaning no lights, no heating, no power to charge phones, we were all quite worried, it was pitch black and we had no other option than to go to bed and try and look for another property in the morning. we also had food in the fridge which perished, and we had no hot water for a shower or a bath.To be left in that situation in the dark and cold with no means of help or support was unacceptable.once the power did come back on the next day we were terrified that it would go off again and we would be left in the same situation. This had an impact on our whole trip. I have since tried to contact the owner on numerous occasions but they havent responded. i would strongly advise anyone to reconsider staying here."

What I didn't like was that I wasn't made aware that the room was in the back garden, having to walk past the smelly bins to the apartment, I could not open the windows because of this. the light switch for the upstairs bedroom, was no way near the bedroom, it was located on the stairs - so you cannot switch off once you're in the bedroom!, and there is only 1 working electricity socket in the bedroom too...very dangerous."

This spacious 4 bedroom house is actually half of an old farmhouse which is set near to a golf course and beautiful countryside. You are also very close to Barry Island's sandy beaches which is the home of hit show Gavin and Stacey.

There are four bedrooms with two double bedrooms located downstairs and two King bedrooms upstairs.

There is a nice private driveway with space for 4 cars with big lawned rear garden.

There are a range of lovely walks you can do from the house. If you walk down the lane you go past some farm houses, through the golf course and if you are feeling adventurous you could find the lama farm.

A small but clean and comfy room in a very relaxed mum and daughter household. We share our space with two dogs and a cat.

The room has a TV/DVD, and there is access to Netflix and cable TV in the living room. You are welcome to use the living room and kitchen during your stay, and can help yourself to tea and coffee.

This is a non-smoking household, but you are free to use the space at the front of the house if you wish to smoke. You should be able to find on-street parking - unfortunately I don't have a private driveway.

Our home is less than 10 minutes from Cardiff Airport (2.5 miles). You’ll love our home because of the outdoors space, the peace and calm. It is in the favoured west end of Barry, walking distance to Porthkerry Country Park and Mill Wood. Nearby are plenty of coastal walks and beaches. There are good public transport links to Cardiff. My guests range from business travellers with long or short term contracts to couples and solo adventurers exploring our beautiful heritage. Restaurants galore!

The guest bedroom is in the dormer attic and has an en suite shower, toilet and basin which is not shared.There is an adjoining spacious room which offers office space for your use. There is hanging space and a chest of drawers together with a full mirror.
For your convenience there are tea and coffee making facilities in the guest bedroom.
You will also have access to our fast broadband service and WiFi connection for all work and leisure needs.

If you are travelling as a family you can request a double/ single air bed that can be made up in the adjoining study area.

Please note the dorma space is open plan without fixed doors. When guests book please be assured that this space is entirely private, despite the fact that it is open plan and there are no doors.
