This well-maintained house has four bedrooms, two and one-half bathrooms, and will comfortably accommodate eight guests. Originally built prior to World War I, we have chosen to respect its historical charm and character while updating it with modern amenities. The house fronts on a wide street and is set away from the neighbors on either side, providing privacy while allowing an open feeling. The large rooms and yard provide great versatility: our home is equally suitable for families with infants, young children, or older children, or for adults without children. In all cases guests will have as much togetherness or enjoy as much privacy as they want due to the spaciousness and layout of the interior and exterior. The living room has a 52' Samsung flat screen HDTV.
HOUSE DESCRIPTION - The house, while furnished with nice pieces, is also child friendly – our four children were raised here and our grandchildren are frequent visitors. Decorations include art, antiques and collections from around the Pacific Rim and Latin America, many of which we acquired on our travels. The living, dining and sleeping areas are set off by hardwood floors, accented by oriental rugs.
The remodeled kitchen features an open layout with granite countertops, a counter eating area which seats four, and French doors which access the outside patio and swimming pool.
POOL AND SIDE PATIO - The brick poolside patio has a glass-top table which seats 6 to 8, and a gas fire-pit around which 8 can comfortably gather. Two chaise lounges provide a good space to relax or read. For outdoor grilling, we have a large, 5-burner stainless steel gas barbecue, and a bar-countertop for preparing and serving food and beverages. The heated swimming pool and attached spa are enclosed behind a child-proof fence.
LIVING AREAS AND BACK PATIO - The large living room has two large sofas, a rocker and a wing back chair, from which to watch the 52' HDTV with DVR, premium movie channels, Netflix and DVD player, or enjoy the fireplace. Two sets of French doors access a lovely sunroom which houses a playroom which is a magnet for the younger ones. A large toy cabinet along one wall is filled with toys, a comfortable carpet and a small table with four child-sized chairs provides a great play area, and a rattan sofa gives adults a comfortable place from which to watch. The house is wired for Wi-Fi broadband internet.
French doors at the back of the living room open to a covered patio with a large Colonial-style wood table from South America, which seats ten. An additional, shaded, outside table which seats four. A café table with two swivel arm chair/rockers with ottoman provide for a pleasant place to read or have a cup of coffee in or out of the sun. A patio umbrella provided shade if required.
UPSTAIRS - The upstairs is accessed by a wide staircase with oak steps. Each of the four large bedrooms is furnished in a unique and appealing style. All four bedrooms have in-room air-conditioning units. The Master Bedroom is furnished with a beautiful dark oak Henredon campaign-style bedroom set with King Size bed. It has a 42" flat screen TV with digital cable and DVR. It opens through French doors to a large outside terrace with potted plants and Bistro table and chairs. The en-suite bathroom has been remodeled and features a granite counter-top and a large step in shower with overhead and wall-mounted shower heads.
The adjoining bedroom has a Queen sized bed, desk, and an easy chair with ottoman. It also opens onto the outside deck.
There are two bedrooms across the hall, each of which face onto the swimming pool. The front bedroom contains a comfortable Ethan Allen swivel rocker with ottoman,and can be set up with either a king or two twin size beds. The rear bedroom has two twin beds.

Nestled among the trees in the upscale Point Loma neighborhood, Point Loma Woods is a wonderful family getaway. The home is spacious with four bedrooms and three baths and an additional air mattress available that sleeps 2 people, a large living space and private garden with swimming pool. There is ample parking in the circular driveway for a number of cars.
The home is located on a tree-lined street just five minutes from Shelter Island, La Playa, Kellogg Beach and all the restaurants and shops of Point Loma to the East as well as the beaches at Sunset Cliffs and Ocean Beach which are just five minutes over the hill to the West. Head South to Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery and the Cabrillo Lighthouse. Spectacular views await you!
If you're interested in really heading South, Coronado and its charms await. The Living Coast Discovery Center (formerly Chula Vista Nature Center) is just west of Highway 5 (E Street exit) in Chula Vista and the Tijuana National Estuary Research Reserve and Border Field State Park are also places for terrific bird watching.
East a few minutes and you're at Liberty Station, Spanish Landing, Seaport Village and the many attractions along the harbor, including the Star of India and the Maritime Museum ships, the Midway Museum and harbor cruises. Continue East to Balboa Park and its many museums as well as the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
Heading North, on Catalina Blvd you'll encounter the Famosa Slough, one of many good places for bird watching. Just across the freeway (Highway 8) are Sea World and beautiful Mission Bay and Mission Beach - terrific for swimming and sailing. Heading further north, you'll find Torrey Pines State Beach in Del Mar, the San Diego Botanic Gardens (formerly Quail Gardens) in Encinitas and Legoland in Carlsbad. North along the coast are numerous beach communities and beautiful beaches.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced.

- "We loved the property -- and the layout allowed for together or alone time. Pool area was beautiful -- one update is that there was an odor -- I believe from the garbage disposal/sink. But the fresh lemons from the tree helped. No issue -- just wanted to raise it in case it continues. We did request extra towels -- thank you." - "The property was all that was described. It served as a perfect "home base" for our five days in San Diego as a "three generation family gathering" -- ages 29 to 86! There were ten of us staying there so we utilized all four bedrooms plus we used the provided inflatable bed in a corner of the living room which was spacious enough to allow that with no problem. We ate "in" only for breakfast and some lunches this time, but the kitchen seemed well equipped for most cooking projects. We chose not to have the pool heated although one couple swam a bit in the "cool" water! The weather was good -- not perfect for some of our chosen activities -- but warm enough that we enjoyed some morning meals out on the deck in the back -- great! The location is convenient -- hillier than we'd imagined, but not a problem -- and plenty of parking for our three cars. It was an easy drive to so many places to see and experience -- Balboa Park and all it has to offer, the Point Loma lighthouse, etc., the Midway aircraft carrier, plus lots of beaches -- and restaurants -- we enjoyed all those we tried! I'd certainly recommend this house -- there seemed to be no "downsides" about it!"

The house was perfect. There were 13 of us (ages 14 to 79) and we all had plenty of room to relax. The top deck with fireplace was wonderful to watch sunsets and the numerous aircraft fly around the naval base. The kitchen truly had every utensil, gadget, spice and appliance to make our cooking easy and carefree. We used the spa nightly. It was too chilly to spend as much time as we would have liked outside….but there are wonderful spaces there. A great time was had by all and we would highly recommend the home in Coronado, Ca."

Relax in cozy home with a spacious kitchen and peaceful deck and backyard with wonderful trees and lots of space to play or relax. Kellogg's beach is a hidden gem. Our home includes all the basics and more. Washer and Dryer, BBQ grill, dishwasher, roomy fridge, and a great outdoor area where. you can have breakfast or dinner in our beautiful deck area or play in our great backyard our big trees.

THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT THIS BEACH CLUB!
On the Beach Clubhouse is 1 mile to three different supermarkets and historical Liberty Station. It is also 3 miles to the airport and a 10 minute drive to downtown San Diego. Rent bikes for a 3 mile waterside ride to the Maritime museum and ship displays. There are miles of picturesque walking environments and great restaurants at the water's edge.
The famous San Diego Zoo and magnificent Balboa Park are only a 15 minute drive. Cabrillo National Park, Fort Rosecrans and the Lighthouse at Point Loma are also 10 minutes away as is the Nazarene University. Our famous So-Cal beach communities are a short 10 minute drive. For more fun visit our nation's oldest wooden roller coaster on Mission beach at Belmont Park.

This beautifully modernized Spanish 1-bedroom, 1-bath, 1000 sq. ft. 1-story casita, with private front row bay access - combined with city and harbor views - is a great place to call “home” for your seaside vacation in San Diego. This casita is a great place for indoor/outdoor living as it features a large shared harbor and city view patio with comfortable seating, al fresco dining, and a shared fire pit area right next to the sand. It also has its own barbecue so summer never stops here. Seaside living at its best! It is ideal for people who just want a simple, comfortable “home” to return to after their day's adventures.
Enter this beautifully appointed nautical themed home and to the left you will find a king bedroom. There is also a modern bath with a large walk in-shower.
Go down 4 steps from the entry level to a dining area for 6 and a well-appointed living room with a large comfortable couch and a flat screen TV. There is a sliding glass door to the harbor/city view patio which has a table for dining al fresco and a grill. This 2-bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1500 sq. ft 2-story casa is a great place for indoor/outdoor living as it features a large shared view harbor and city view patio with comfortable seating, an outside dining table, and a fire pit area with chairs + a grill!
Enter this beautifully appointed nautical themed home and take 4 steps down the stairs where you will find a spacious, tastefully decorated great room featuring a large seating cluster, including an overstuffed chair where you can stretch out and simultaneously enjoy the flat screen TV and the views.
To its left is a dining room with slider access to the harbor view patio, a dining table for 6, and a small settee where you can rest and enjoy the view for a different perspective.
A beautiful modern kitchen has everything you need to create meals and snacks for everyone, and there is even a small workspace and chair here. To the right of the kitchen is a half bath - the shower portion of that bathroom does not work - however there is a house just outside that door equipped with warm water to rinse off the bay's sand as you head home after a long day in the sun!
Back at the entry is a 15-step staircase to the 2nd floor, with a king master bedroom to the right. It has a large flat screen TV and a private 2nd floor patio perfect for morning coffee, afternoon refreshment, or an evening libation. - "We've stayed in the 1-bedroom duplex next door and it was fully renovated while this one, the 2-bedrooom we stayed at this time is a bit dated. The layout is fine with a split level entry, large living room and separate dining and separate kitchen. The views and the local's beach access and outdoor furniture is fantastic. Kitchen worked well. Dishwasher needed help pre-washing for sure. The dining chairs were like sinking into bean bags. My daughter, girlfiend and our couple of friends that dropped by for an afternoon all agreed. Not a big deal. TV's were app/streaming only so we were able to watch a couple of shows we were hoping to on Sunday - NFL. The bedroom sheets and linens were excellent. While we didn't mind waking every morning to the Star Spangled Banner piped across the bay from the Naval Station, the jets and other outstandingly loud airplanes on Saturday morning were annoying for well over an hour. One drawback of this two-bedroom unit was that the only heat was via several space heaters we had to carefully relocated throughout the building so we could take our coats off. It was a chilly weekend but no central heat seemed a bit weird to us. We managed and it was a bit of a joke at times. The location is spectacular!!! It's on a really quiet street, right on a local's beach with dogs and frisbees and footballs and tanning bodies on occasion. There were paddleboarders and all sorts of boats and ships passing by quietly, and sailing regatta folks...and dolphins!"

NOISE & GATHERINGS
Due to the residential nature of our neighborhood and out of respect for our neighbors, we have a strict policy against social gatherings or any other loud/disruptive activities, especially after 9pm. This also means no visitors (anyone not already accounted for in the booking and already staying here) at any time. Our property manager lives nearby and he’s had to ask guests to leave in the past for throwing parties.
OCCUPANCY
Please note the maximum occupancy and number of bedrooms specified in this listing. The maximum number of guests, including all infants and children, shall not exceed this number at all times.
SAFETY
There may be cameras present on the exterior of the property. Please see the listing for further details. Cameras must remain clear and not be tampered with or blocked in any way.
STAYS LONGER THAN 30 NIGHTS
The booking site does not have a mechanism for recurring charges, but as a benefit to both us and the guest, we do require a recurring cleaning of the unit to be scheduled once every 2-3 weeks at an additional cost equal to the original cleaning fee each time, and this would include cleaning of towels and linens. This is charged separately for each individual cleaning.
FURNISHINGS
Moving existing furniture out of the apartment or new furniture into it without consent of the host is strictly prohibited. Moving large furniture within the apartment from one room to another is also prohibited as our housekeeper may not be able to physically move it back once you depart.

This 3,500 square foot home features 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a large backyard, a wrap-around second floor balcony with ocean views, and an intimate roof deck perfect for sipping your morning coffee while gazing at the sand and listening to the surf. The house has everything you need to entertain your friends and family. Enjoy the best of beach living with the light, open space concept. The house includes 5 bedrooms + optional office/gym, a chef's kitchen with all of the upgrades, and lots of space for entertaining. The courtyard-like tropical-landscaped backyard includes a natural gas grill, a Solo Stove wood fire-pit, and a reclaimed wood Irish farm table. Sleep with the windows open to enjoy the sounds of the surf, knowing that if you hit a rare hot spell, you can always change your mind and put on the central AC.
