From naked people in the sauna to angry people shouting in the corridor and people speaking loudly on their phone with loud speaker on meant that the ambience of the venue did not lend itself to a calm environment. - "The apartment was clean, safe and super close to public transportations - bus and train station was VERY convenient. 3 stops away from the Zurich Airport by bus which was convenient and cheap. It was a quiet building with different tenants from students to office workers. Our code didn't open up the laundry area but it wasn't a big deal. The first night we got there, we ate dinner at the on site restaurant because we just finished a long train ride and didn't want to venture out. The on site restaurant was okay, the crowd that night was a bit rowdy (almost look like college students) but the 1 person working that night as the waiter and kitchen staff did a great job in getting our food to us so kudos to him. The restaurant isn't anything magnificent just for a quick bite to eat. Overall it was a decent place to stay but the studio only houses 2 people at the most so be aware of that and even with 2 it's a bit tight. We still made due with the space we had."

Opfikon is a lovely town in the canton of Zürich, located about 10 kilometers outside the city in the district of Bülach. The town is located about halfway between the Zürich city center and Zürich Airport, and is also the setting for several international hotels. Dining options range from fast casual to traditional Swiss fare, with several notable international restaurants as well. There's also Runway 34, a casual restaurant furnished with historic aircraft. Opfikon also has its own Aldi supermarket for those who prefer to cook for themselves. Opfikon is served by two railway stations, Glattbrugg and Opfikon, and there is local bus service as well.

Travellers are free to use any part of the house as they please as long as they respect the house rules. The living room has a TV with over 100 channels to choose from. There is also hi-speed internet connectivity and a 50 inch TV screen which lets you watch anything from a u-tube video to any of the international TV channels (CNN, BBC, ABC etc) to keep track of the latest development in the international front. You could spend a lazy evening (when you are not inclined to go outdoors) sipping a coffee or a perhaps a beer cuddled together with your partner watching those favorite channels that your busy schedule at home would not allow. Smoking or drinking within the premises is unfortunately not allowed. However you could use the open balcony to smoke!
