The unit was very quiet, never heard a peep from any neighbors. The clubhouse was wonderful, really enjoyed the pool with our granddaughter. So we were very happy with our stay, and would highly recommend this appossed to a hotel room. Lots of room to spread out!!!!!"

Situated on the end of a private road less than 10 minutes to North Conway, this is a wonderful “out of the way location, close to everything” in the middle of all the White Mountains have to offer – hiking, golf, Storyland, outlet shopping, skiing, snowmobiling, fly fishing or taking a refreshing dip in the river in front our house. This area is also home to some of the best motorcycle riding in all of New England.

Our cabin is perfect for couples and small families who enjoy the tranquility of a remote riverfront location yet appreciate the amenities of a fully functional house. Our Northwoods Cabin has been recently renovated. A new kitchen has been installed complete with new cabinetry, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Our eat-in kitchen has a round table that seats four and an island with two stools. We have all the cookware and dishes you need to cook up your family's favorite meal-the only thing you provide is the food! It also has a sliding door that leads to our covered porch so you can enjoy our outdoor view. Our living room has a wide comfortable couch, two reclining chairs, a fireplace and a smart Flat Screen TV. Our two bedrooms sleep 5-one double bed in bedroom number 1 and two twin beds and a rollaway in bedroom number 2. (OUR GUESTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS). Our bath has a shower and a tub. And you will enjoy having a mud room with a washer and dryer! On the outside we offer a covered porch with two tables and seating for four, a gas grill and a picnic table. Mountain retreat says it all! Our A-frame home is a place where we disconnect. From the deck, you can enjoy the sounds of the Eastbranch River, many birds, and the peace and quiet of the mountains. We see quite a bit of wildlife including bear, turkey, fox, an occasional deer or moose, and at night we hear owls a lot. Many nights have been spent outside enjoying time with friends and family by the fire pit. Our home is designed for the outdoor enthusiast in mind.. Comfortable and casual, clean and inviting. Great front entry to store all your gear, which opens into a galley style kitchen. It's small but well stocked so you'll only really need to bring food. Spices, basic ingredients, and plenty of cookware are there for you to use. The main living area has a sofa, 2 leather chairs, and plenty of space for kicking your feet up and enjoying the gas fireplace after a fun day out. There is a dining table that seats 4 comfortably which looks out to Mt Kearsarge and Mt Surprise in the winter (the sun rises from this direction and is quite beautiful). The bathroom is on the main level as well. As with most A-frames, there is access to the upstairs by way of the ladder type stairs. Kids love it, however it isn't for everyone. Upstairs there are two bedrooms... one bedroom with a queen bed and the other with 2 twins. Both are small but very comfortable with tempurpedic mattresses and luxurious bedding.

Welcome to Dundee Lodge! Stay in a property that started as a 1-room logging cabin in the early 1900's, transformed in 1946 to include a classic New England Saltbox addition complete with a stone fireplace and bunk room w/3 twin beds (not suitable for very young children unattended). The turn of this century saw the addition of a large post & beam room complete with a luxurious King size bed, sofa sleeper and TV. Modern plumbing came at this time as well so in addition to the working outhouse we also have a large, newly renovated bathroom and a country kitchen complete with the farmer's sink and modern appliances.

Recent renovations have restored this quintessential mountain cabin to reflect its roots . A mid-century ski mural was uncovered in the Living Room and the colors were restored to what was there mid-century when the area was the premier ski destination for North America. The front "logging" room is decorated to feel like you are in a birch forest and the old metal frame twin bed can be used as a day-bed or additional sleeping. The kitchen is classic cabin chic with a red/beige checkerboard flooring, gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, and a pantry stocked with all the basics. The Master Bed Room is the 'unexpected' mountain oasis with wide pine paneled walls, floor to vaulted ceiling. Skylights reflect the nature all around as does the slider that opens to the backyard deck. The newly remodeled bathroom is large and always ready with an "on-demand' hot water system. Even though there is only 1 bathroom there is still the option to use the working outhouse, so no need to wait in line to use the facilities.

As with any historic property, this cabin comes with is quirks and charms. Some of the doorways are low as are the ceiling joists in the Living Room (my 6'6" husband has to duck a few times). There is a custom designed, space-saving staircase to access the bunk room and an extra special space "bunk room annex" designed especially for little people to read and sit on the rocking horse. From the bunk room you will feel like you are in a tree fort with the 4 square windows displaying the trees and mountains around. The bunkroom and annex are not suitable for young children due to the staircase access. Young children should never be unattended in these spaces. The staircase could also be a challenge to some adults but it is sturdy and built to code by a local craftsman. If you have any concerns or need clarification, please reach out ahead of booking.

Dundee Lodge comfortably sleeps 5 (2 in the Master Bed Rm; 3 in the Bunk Rm) but you can sleep 1-2 more on the sleeper sofa in the Master Bed Rm, 1 more in the Front Rm if need be, just remember there is still only 1 bathroom (plus the outhouse).

When it is cold Dundee Lodge stays warm with an efficient gas furnace, personal heat unit in the Master Bed Rm, and the Living Rm wood stove can really provide some heat the old-fashioned way. Dundee Lodge comes with a supply of firewood for winter use by our guests.

In the summer, Dundee Lodge naturally stays cool as it is nestled in the river valley of the East Branch of the Saco River. The bunk-room has been equipped with an exhaust system to thermostatically pull out the hot air and draw the cool air in through the lower level. The Master Bed Rm has a personal A/C wall unit that can also cool other spaces if needed.

Dundee Lodge is used and loved by our family and we hope you want to make it a part of your family tradition. This is an area filled with year round activities most the information can be found on the internet. The lodge is a 10 minute walk between 2 different bathing spots on the East Branch River. The lodge is a 10-20 minute drive to 4-5 premier ski resorts. We have some flotation devises but you should bring your own water safety equipment as well. We have a pantry stocked with basic spices and food items. If you use something please replace it or leave us a note. Because we cook there as often as we can, we have most common household utensils.

Dundee Lodge has wi-fi and a landline phone because most cell phones do not have coverage in our area. We will give you the codes and number when you start your stay at the lodge. We will post phone rates but in most cases, local calls and some long distance may be included. There is 1 TV in the Master Bed Rm with cable and 1 TV in the bunk room that has a VCR, good ole fashioned entertainment! The lodge is on a road that can be busy at times as it is still an active logging road but the speed is only 30 mph and considered a rural road. There is a nice size backyard for kids to play in and plenty of doors in the back of the cabin to access that space. We really hope that you are in the area to take advantage of the abundance of nature activities that the White Mountains provide.

If you need a consumable product, please help yourself and replace or tell us what was consumed so we can replace it for the next guest. Recycling - please respect our mountain environment and our "house rules" about recycling. We ask that you sort all plastic, paper, and glass (pizza boxes are not recyclable). We also ask that you do not buy or bring up bottled water in plastic bottles, instead bring a refillable water bottle to use while you are here. We have a Brita filter in the refrigerator and excellent city water. Please limit your waste and sort and compact as best you can. Our town has an excellent sorting process for recyclables and we know that your waste is being recycled if we are able to have it sorted. We take your garbage to the dump ourselves, so please help make that process easy and environmentally right.

Reminder - Check-In time is 4 pm on the 1st day of your reservation and Check-out time is 10 am on the last day of your reservation. We will send a "Welcome Letter" to you about 1-week prior to you confirmed reservation/stay to let you know how to access the property.

We purchased this cleared lot on an old ski mountain in 2015. The NH sourced log cabin was erected in 2016. We took a basic floor plan and expanded and modified it to fit our active mountain lifestyle. The kitchen includes a farmhouse sink as well as poured concrete countertops. The convertible kitchen table is wood from the UNH lumber mill. The kitchen appliances were purchased for a family that enjoys cooking and eating. The bathrooms were designed and built by us to incorporate the cabin feel. Beds were built using leftover logs. Hot water is an on-demand system. Some of the ski racks in the cabin are our kids' old skis.

This renovated home easily sleeps 4, but can accomodate one or two more.Please note there is an additional charge for more than 4 guests to offset expenses. The house is set back from the road on Route 16 and is conveniently located two miles from town. We are close to local attractions but just far enough away, making this home the perfect “getaway." The pictures truly speak for themselves. There is an efficient kitchen open to the living room, half bath, sunroom and bedroom on the 1st floor and the master has a full bath with walk in shower on the 2nd floor. Complimentary k cups, Nespresso pods, tea bags, sugar salt, pepper, cooking spray and other essentials such as press and seal, tin foil, paper plates, plastic cups and utensils are provided for your convenience as long as the owners are able to restock their supply between stays. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials of home for those that are looking to dine in! The property is close to Settler's Green, antique stores, shops and tons of restaurants. Attitash, Cranmore, Wild Cat and Black Mountain are also all nearby, providing year round fun. GUEST ACCESS
Guests can use the entire cabin. The basement is locked for storage. Guests are not permitted in the basement area.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Cozy Cabin: This is a cozy cabin, approximately 507 square feet. It's not a tiny house, but it's also not a mansion. It's perfect for 2 people, business travelers, artists, writers, or solo adventurers.

AIr Conditioning: We have a portable air conditioner in our mud room that does a pretty good job of keep the cabin comfortable and cool. On super hot days it might struggle a little bit, but seems to do pretty good.

Bathroom on Main Floor: There is a loft bedroom that you will need to climb a spiral staircase to reach. It has a queen bed and there is a dresser for your use. Please note that the bathroom is on the main floor, so if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you will need to walk down the spiral staircase. There is a light switch in the bedroom that lights up the spiral staircase area for navigating at night.

Dogs and Spiral Staircase: We are dog-friendly, but many dogs will be unable or unwilling to climb the spiral staircase. If they sleep downstairs, please note that dogs are not allowed on the recliners, and there is no other furniture available for them to sleep on. it will be helpful for guests with dogs to bring a dog bed/blankets if the dog cannot manage the stairs. Please note there is a $75 fee per dog.

Cell Phone Service: Cell phone service is spotty around the cabin and you may or may not get a good signal depending on your carrier. However, once you connect your cell phone to our WIFI network, you can send/receive phone calls (using the WIFI Calling feature on your phone), send/receive text messages, and of course surf the Internet!

TV: We do not have cable TV, but do have a Smart TV so please feel free to bring your Roku, Firestick, etc.

1. VERY IMPORTANT - In order to get your booking approved, you will need to have the following a completed VRBO profile, verified email/phone/id, profile picture, and multiple positive reviews.

2. Parties are not allowed. House occupancy is limited to 2 people only (including infants/children). Driveway can accommodate 2 vehicles. If more than 2 people arrive at the cabin, the reservation will be cancelled without a refund.

3. Do not smoke or vape in the house. Please note that if the cleaners find evidence that smoking occurred in house, you will be charged a minimum of a $500 deep-cleaning fee against your security deposit.

4. If you use the gas grill or gas fireplace, never leave it unattended. If you use the gas grill, please clean it after it has cooled off.

5. This cabin is listed as not suitable for children and infants. There are no electrical safety plugs and there are window blinds in the cabin. There is also a spiral staircase.

6. Please do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper.

7. NO LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION/HOLD HARMLESS: The owners of the property do not assume liability for the loss, theft, damage or injury (or death) to persons or their personal property. 8. Check-out is 10:00am Eastern time. Please ensure you give yourself enough time to check-out by this time. Our cleaners arrive promptly. Failure to check-out by this time may result in a claim against your security deposit.

9. This rental requires a rental agreement be reviewed, eSigned, and returned. Please note that all bookings have a $500 security hold (done automatically when you book). If you would like to review the rental agreement prior to booking , please send a booking inquiry and a copy will be sent to you for review. We reserve the right to cancel any Instant Booking where the guest refuses to eSign the rental agreement.

10. There is a security video camera at the front door of the cabin facing the driveway. The sound recording is disabled, and the video recording is enabled.

11. DOGS: Please note if you bring dog(s) to the cabin there is an additional fee that will be required of $75 per dog. Dogs are not allowed on the mission recliners. As we have a spiral staircase which many dogs will not be able to navigate, you will need to bring bedding for your dog.

12. If a guest needs to leave their stay early, this will be considered a cancellation request (and not a modification request), and guest will be refunded the amount due per our cancellation policy that was in place at the time the reservation was made.

13. ATV, dirt bikes, go carts, off-road vehicles, etc. can not be driven on the property other than to get to and from the road from the driveway/parking area. Any damage done to the property from one of these vehicles will result in a claim against your security deposit, and/or additional money needed to repair any damage per our rental agreement.

- "What a spectacular stay. The cabin is within mintues of all the White Mountain trails as well as the Ranger Station (for advice). It is quiet and peaceful. We did so many fun activities. He hyped up with Moat Mountain found some beautiful smoky quartz, tried some fishing if you're going to do that make sure you research where to go we did find a spot on the way home that we should have hit which was called Crystal River I would suggest there. You have to hit that portion of the Saco River there is gold there. Beautiful place to take photos. Diana's baths is a must-see, Cathedral ledge is beautiful from the bottom as well as the top. Lucky likes ice cream open late was a bonus. Just driving up the White Mountain and stopping off at random spots to go up and see the views with glamorous and refreshing. Mike and Nikki were awesome with communication! Gave great suggestions! I would have to say that anyone that stays here the first thing you should do is open up the guest book read some of the notes for where people went for suggestions. We would love to come back and visit again maybe in the fall once the foliage breaks. Robin & Jamil"

AREA:
Our log cabin is situated on paved backroad on 1/3 of a wooded acre in the town of Intervale. There are other mountain homes located on both sides of our log cabin, and behind us. All of our neighbors are very nice, and it is a quiet neighborhood!

Please note: You will be able to see cars driving on Dundee Road from the cabin, especially during busy weekends but you rarely can you hear any noise from inside the cabin.

There are woods in front, left side, and right side of our cabin. For the neighbors to the left and right, you can partially see their houses by looking through the trees in the spring/summer months which gives the our setting some privacy during these seasons. The neighbors home are more visible in winter months when the leaves have fallen off the trees....but it's generally too cold to be sitting outside during that time anyway.

Our cabin is close to many hiking trails, ski areas, shopping, dining, and mountain biking trails. It's a 30 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the river, where you can bring your camp chair and relax. Cranmore Mountain is only 5 miles away!

11. Pets, dogs, cats, etc. are not allowed.

12. If a guest needs to leave their stay early, this will be considered a cancellation request (and not a modification request), and guest will be refunded the amount due per our cancellation policy that was in place at the time the reservation was made.

13. ATVs, dirt bikes, go carts, snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, etc. can not be driven on the property other than to get to and from the road from the driveway/parking area. Any damage done to the property from one of these vehicles will result in a damage claim against the guest as outlined in our rental agreement.

14. Candles, bonfires, and campfires are not permitted on the property.
