Guests have the entire space surrounding the cabin to themselves. The owners live on the property in the main house beyond the trees and there is a cottage across the driveway that may also have guests. Please respect their privacy and stay out of their yard areas. You are welcome to fish in the pond or walk around it etc.

If you bring pets, please clean up after them.

We live on the property and will gladly assist you if you need help or have questions. Since you check yourself in upon arrival and let yourself out when you leave, you may never even see us during your stay. We stay out of the way to give you all the privacy you need or want but are here should you need anything.

Chase, our friendly Golden Retriever is our official greeter. He loves to stop by and greet our guests and will do almost anything for a belly rub. He is an outdoor dog and gets dirty digging in the field and swimming in the pond. Please only interact with him outside and don't invite him into the cabin.

Our lodge sits above Lake Shelbyville, a 11,000 acre lake, offers boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and hunting. FireFly Lodge is cozy with a fully equipped kitchen, tiled bathrooms, deck wraps around 3 sides of the house, picturesque lake view, wheel chair accessible on first and second levels, situated on 5 1/2 acres along the wooded shoreline of Lake Shelbyville. Our lodge is great for family gatherings, couples, business travelers, and families (with kids).
You can access Lake Shelbyville down a pathway through Army Corp of Engineer property. We cannot mow this pathway nor spray for poison ivy or weeds, since it is not our property. It is easy to get on and off a boat at the base of the property. You can also access the lake at the CoalShaft Bridge boat launch. The water is shallow here.

We have a beach and recreation area several blocks away as well as a public pool and miles of beautiful wooded bike and walking trails. All of these activities are blocks from our home.

You have access to the entire home. Additional bedrooms will be set up on the main floor for guests exceeding 6. Per head fees apply to have additional beds set up on the main level. Ask your host for details for more than 6 guests up to 10.

Most amenities are accessible by car or bicycle. Uber and Lyft are not available in this area.

The property is private and protected with (Ring) doorbell cameras at each entrance, surveilling the outdoor areas for your safety. To protect your belongings while you're away from the home, we have a noise alarm (Minut) in the home that detects if smoke/fire alarms are sounding and also detects humidity and temperature to ensure the furnaces are working correctly. The noise alarm does NOT record conversations, but merely detects decibels of sounds out of the ordinary.

This country home is only 2 miles from Lone Point, 2.8 miles from Coon Creek, and 6 miles from Eagle Creek Boat Launch. Not only will you have the lake and it's many activities, you will also have a 2,400 sq. ft. house along with a 4,800 sq. ft. shed/garage attached with many activities inside. These activities include pickle ball, badminton court, corn hole, air hockey, and a basketball hoop. This home has a large covered patio along with a large fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.

On the main floor you'll find a four season living room with game table and a large TV, a large concept kitchen/dining area/ a beautiful and cozy large living room with kids table and desk/work area as well as a half bathroom and a cozy dining nook that seats 7.

On the second floor you'll find three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and laundry.

Our ample parking with electrical outlets provides convenience for those with boats or camping gear. Whether you're hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, our retreat offers everything needed for a memorable stay.
The house is 1850 sqft with an additional 830 sqft attached garage that is used as a game room. You have complete access to the home as well as the 2.3 acres it sits on. The property adjoins Corps of Engineer wooded property on two sides with Beaver Lake just a few feet away. A farm field is located on the west side and the owner's separate farm property is to the south. The house itself is 7 years old and was recently completely renovated. It is decorated with a mix of antiques, vintage pieces, and brand-new furniture. The artwork is of birds and wildlife common to the area. It is very common to view deer crossing the property at dusk.
Pets (dogs only) are welcome (2-pet maximum).

In the early 1900's, Shelbyville was once referred to as the Queen City. Home to the minor league baseball team called the Queen Citys (yes it was spelled wrong back then). We thought it would be great to bring back the name to pay homage to the history of our town and the activities that attracted visitors to the area. Just like the baseball team, we want visitors to take advantage of the area offerings and immerse themselves in the small town culture Shelbyville possesses.

Shelbyville is a safe neighborhood and home to The General Dacey Trail bike trail and walking paths, beautiful public park with picnic areas, sand volleyball, pump track, a fishing lagoon and sunken garden. We have several wedding venues, bars and restaurants. Our historic downtown is home to retail shops, bars and restaurants. We even have an awesome little movie theater in the heart of it all. The main attraction of the area is beautiful Lake Shelbyville. Visit the beach or any of the 3 marinas, rent a boat, or paddle board and kayak the beautiful untouched shoreline.

Most amenities are accessible by car or bicycle. Uber and Lyft are not available in this area.

This upstairs apartment is located in downtown Findlay, the heart of Lake shelbyville. It’s within walking distance to tailwinds steak house, the winery, and the R&K one stop. Just minutes to Findlay marina or the Eagle Creek golf course. There is plenty of parking for a truck and boat across the alley from the apartment. The apartment has been renovated and has a that country charm. It’s a great place to stay while visit family or enjoying the surrounding lake and golf course

5 to 15 mins from boating, fishing, the beach and golfing. Findlay offers a great park /playground. The Findlay Fast Stop has bait/beer/snacks and gas. Tailwinds Steak House, & Rosie & Irl's BBQ offer good food/drink. The Dollar General is also at the edge of town.
We are now able to accommodate boats and vehicles across the street in a fully rocked parking lock.

The space
Simple and clean! Kitchen is fully furnished including toaster, Crock Pot, Air Fryer. A Keurig Duo with coffee pods and filter paks, Roku Tv in living and family room. Closets in all 3 bedrooms with extra bedding and blankets if needed. Our outside space is a project in the works but privacy fence.
and a deck with gas grill provide all you need for a cookout. We have added a small fire pit. Firewood and fire starters are available at the Rk One stop. Please do NOT burn anything but wood.
We will no long accommodate pets.

Guest access
You will have access to entire house, deck and back yard. The garage is NOT accessible A plug in for your boat is available on the outside of the house. We now offer access to off road parking for Boats and vehicles. (electric pending)
