Gather your loved ones or wedding party at this quiet country home that has been updated for your comfort while retaining its 1920's character. Conveniently located 2 miles from Livengood's Wedding Barn and only 10 miles from the mighty Mississippi River, Great River Trail and 7 miles from Timberlake Playhouse. There's plenty of parking and room for boat trailers and toy haulers. Come to the country and enjoy the large yard and open sky as far as you can see.

There’s room for ten guests with four bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. A full size crib is available, on request. You will have a full size, well equipped kitchen to make your meals or heat up a snack. Off the kitchen is the original pantry that holds some extra supplies for you to use during your stay, as well as an iron, ironing board and clothes steamer.

Two updated full bathrooms along with mirrors in most bedrooms make it easier for multiple people to get ready for a wedding or hanging out with friends. The bathrooms are stocked with fluffy towels, blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and a generous stock of toilet paper. The main floor bath has a first aid kit, should you need it. Also on the main floor is a full size washer and dryer available for you to use at no additional cost.

The front of the house has a large, enclosed porch that is unheated, not air conditioned but is a great place to sit and feel the breeze through all of the windows and listen to the sounds of the country.
Outside there is a huge yard with a fire pit, firewood, patio set, charcoal grill and electric black stone grill for your use. There are some outdoor toys for the little ones in the garage, as well.

The garage is used for storage only, no parking vehicles inside. There are several buildings on the property that are great backdrops for photos but are not to be entered by guests. The property is part of an active farm so you might even see a tractor or combine during your stay, so please leave the driveway passable, just in case.

- "We had a wonderful time staying at the Blue Farmhouse. Lisa is an exceptional host and has thought of just about everything we needed during our stay. We stayed over Thanksgiving week and I forgot my rolling pin. The kitchen is so well equipped that one of our adult children commented that Lisa probably had one in the kitchen somewhere and sure enough we found one tucked away in a kitchen drawer. The home is very cozy, with enough chairs to have comfortable dinners and fun game nights. There are lots of game options provided, which we appreciated. The bathrooms are very nice, with ample water pressure and a basket of essentials in case you forgot something. We also enjoyed the quiet of the country while being only 15 minutes from a grocery store in Morrison and a one hour beautiful drive to Galena. We highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to renting the Blue Farmhouse again in the spring. "

This charming 1920’s bungalow/cottage has been in our family for over a century and we love spending time here when we are in town. With high ceilings, original woodwork, hardwood floors, and amazing front porch it is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.
It is minutes from the Mississippi waterfront, bike path, Lumberkings Stadium, local grocery, and several bars and restaurants.

This property is 1.5 hours from downtown Chicago, sits on 50 acres, overlooks a 6-acre lake, and is only accessible by a private drive. The buildings were completely remodeled in 2016.

The main house is a 3,600 sf. 5-bedroom A-frame with 3 full bathrooms and sleeps 10. The main house features 800 sf. of upper deck, 800 sf. of lower patio, a built-in barbecue and a fish cleaning station.

A 1,300 sf guest home sleeps 5 upstairs, and includes a game room with a pool table, dart board & ping-pong table. Items such as dish towels, dishes and kitchenware are included for your stay.
The property also features five 42" flat screen televisions, two fireplaces, and a bar with a mixer and a refrigerator.

Jeanine was the perfect host, and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We did. The house has everything you could need, even beach towels!! We only used the king bed in the master, but it was very comfortable. The showers were nice, with great water pressure. There are patios on the front and back porches, with good views of the river from the back porch and from the living room, and master bedroom. The coffee maker was a bit complicated, but easy to use once I got the hang of it. Nice to have a gas grill, and a gas stove, even though we ate out for every meal. We’ll definitely book this place on future trips to the area."

- "This is our second time staying on the property. Last year we stayed at the house located across the pond. It’s a beautiful and secluded place. The owners are so nice and easy to contact. The only complaint we all had was the algae in the pond was really heavy this year so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy that but everything else was great." - "We had a great wkd here celebrating my father in law’s 80th bday. There were 9 of us ages 14 and up and there was plenty of space and beds for all. Kitchen is huge and fully stocked to cook all your meals (minus the food of course!) We spent a lot of time on back covered patio and think there should be pics of this space as well as fire pit, and bathrooms on main level as there are all nice and updated. Basement bathroom not so much but it was ok. We had an unfortunate thing happen during our stay- water heater went out but the owners took care of it in a very timely manner on a Saturday and had it replaced so we had warm water by that evening. Overall it was a great house on nice piece of property overlooking a pond that comes with a paddle boat and canoe. We did lots of fishing, and spent most of our time outside. The gnats were pretty bad- but is a woody area so not much you can do. Nice relaxing wkd on a peaceful property. Would go back!"

- "We very much enjoyed our stay at this property situated beautifully on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River. The property is well-appointed and comfortable. The deck that extends along the length of the home is a perfect perch for watching the prolific bird and waterfowl life and the barge traffic that regularly passes by. The gas grill is ideal for cooking out as you enjoy the view. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked. Our host, Mitch, was a great communicator and always a step ahead of us. Excellent walking location to Morrison Community Hospital, Whiteside County Courthouse , gas stations, McDonald’s, grocery store.

Beautifully restored 1892 apartment in the heart of Morrison's national historic district offers Victorian elegance with many modern conveniences. Amenities include a full kitchen, washer/dryer, luxurious queen bed, Roku Smart TV, and high speed wi-fi. The 800 sq ft apartment includes original Doug Fir flooring, 10 ft high ceilings, pocket doors, claw-foot tub, custom cabinets and cherry island. Perched above an art gallery, this is the perfect clean and quiet retreat for work or leisure.

The space
At the turn of the century 112 E. Main was a gentleman’s suit shop. I like to imagined the tailor returning to this comfortable apartment after a long days work. Much of the original cabinetry from the suit shop still exists in what is now The Loft art gallery. Also, the large green chest of drawers in the apartment is original to the shop.

The cherry counter tops, coffee bar and island all come from wood milled just north of town and custom made for the space by my father in-law. The building is filled with character, truly an example of recent and historic craftsmanship. It should be noted that the apartment is on the second floor of a commercial building, so the guest(s) will need to go up 21 steps for access.

You will have access to the entire apartment, however, there is one private closet in the bathroom that contains cleaning supplies and such. I will leave it unlocked as it also contains the breaker box. The apartment does have a designated closet for hanging clothes and storing luggage. There is a door that leads to the art gallery on the north wall that will be kept locked from both sides.
