- "My family stayed here for a week, we LOVED this place, a true hidden gem! Besides the location being 15min drive from everywhere we wanted to go, the place was perfect for my family (grandparent, spouse, toddler). Mary Beth thought of everything one would need in a home away from home. Nightlights, laundry detergents, lots of towels, large dressers and closets, reusable water bottles, water filters and even mini candy bars. The place isn't large but feels cozy and just right since most of our stay we were exploring Portland for the first time. We rented a car and had no issue parking in front of the house everyday. The street isn't busy and the neighborhood seems safe and revitalizing with newer constructions. There was even a guest book that showed we weren't the only family that really appreciated this beautiful home for more than 10 yrs! And we know this won't be the last time we come back to visit."

Woodstock is one the last "Old Portland Neighborhoods". You'll be just three blocks from downtown Woodstock with Coffee Shops, Bakeries, Grocery, Restaurants, Shopping, etc and two blocks from Woodstock Park. You can hop on the bus, three blocks away, and take Portland's easy transit or it is about a 16 minutes drive to downtown Portland. Portland is known as one of the country’s best food towns, with over 600 registered food carts and more breweries than any city in the world. There is also a vibrant music, film and visual art scene, with many famous theaters and museums. You’ll be close to everything but far enough to enjoy a relaxing trip. If you're feeling adventurous, a short walk or drive (it's 1 mile away) brings you to the base of Mt. Our home offers enough space for everyone to feel at home, while also showcasing her 95-year-old charm. During your stay, you'll notice the original wood floors, the glass door knobs, built-in-place cabinetry with the original leaded glass in the dining room, and the coved ceilings. We think she's pretty great!

Welcoming you as you come inside, you'll see the comfortable seating in the living room. Please make yourself comfortable! Our smart TV allows you to access all your own streaming services easily. The dining room offers seating for 6 and is a great place to play one of the many games or puzzles we offer, or to enjoy a homemade meal prepared in our well-appointed kitchen. Our large picture windows offer views of mature trees right across the street, and they're beautiful in any season! You'll find two bedrooms with super comfortable beds and luxury linens that will offer a restful nights' sleep. They both offer king sized beds. **Please note: Access to the sitting room with space for an additional guest is obtained by walking through one of the other bedrooms, but it does have doors that close it off. This set up makes for a perfect "family suite."

Our backyard is fully enclosed and is a great space to play with the kids. While enjoying the private back yard space, you'll be able to see a variety of local plants and succulents lovingly planted around the perimeter of the yard. When you're outside, you'll undoubtedly be visited by the two juvenile crows that were born in the pine trees behind the house last year. Their names are Cheryl and Russell (get it? they're crows...) and they love peanuts. You'll find some in the kitchen cabinet above the coffee pot. You can throw them out or lay a few on the railing outside the kitchen door and watch them collect their treasures through the kitchen window. It's really neat!

The attic and basement are our personal spaces and therefore, access is not permitted. Access to the garage is reserved for the owners, as well. Thank you for your understanding!

Coda is a musical term meaning an ending part of a piece of music. This is the perfect place to end your day. Coda is a comfortable space with instruments to play and a Sonos system to listen to your favorite music and relax. You will enjoy the full kitchen and wonderful bathroom. Dogs are allowed but cats are not. I have a family member that stays there occasionally and is allergic to cats You have access to the entire residential part of the unit, but no access to the garage. Please message me if you need anything. I do not live on site, but I live close by. Do not bother the tenants in the front house as they do not manage this unit. Woodstock Village in Portland OR is a wonderful place with restaurants, brew pub, food cart pod, shopping and groceries all walkable from Coda. Coda is a short walk to Woodstock. Parking is available on the street in front of the unit. Please don't park in the driveway. There is also easy access to Trimet buses.

The House -
*The Living/Dining Room:
The open plan living space, with vaulted ceilings and large windows, fills the house with light. The living room features a remote-controlled gas fireplace, wall mounted TV with a Roku, and comfortable seating with a pullout sofa bed (full size). A split unit AC and Heater is equipped for all-season comfort.
The large dining table accommodates up to 6. After dinner, you can have fun playing our board games, or relax working on a jigsaw puzzle.
Additionally, there is full size desk with a chair, two 32” monitors for your remote work or tech needs. The house has fast internet (fiber) and WiFi for your streaming and working requirements.
*Kitchen:
A fully equipped spacious chef’s kitchen, with a gas range and island will have you cooking up something fresh from New Seasons Market. The bar seating allows you to chat with friends and family while preparing delicious food for all. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, KitchenAid mixer, blender, and many other small appliances to help keep cooking and clean up simple.
*Laundry Room:
There is a full-size washer and dryer in the Laundry Room off the kitchen. Washing detergent and dryer sheets are provided for you.
*Master Bedroom/Bathroom:
The Master Bedroom is situated away from the common area of the house and the second bedroom. It features a dreamy Tempurpedic King mattress and ample closet space for suitcases and shopping sprees (Oregon is sales tax-free!). There is an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower that has a spa-like overhead rainfall showerhead.
*Second Bedroom:
The second bedroom sits off the main living space and has a comfy queen-sized pillowtop mattress. There is a built-in desk area with a chair, two 24” monitors and a printer for your remote work or tech needs. This room makes the perfect nest for the night owls in the house or for little ones who want to snuggle.
*Second Bathroom:
The accessible bathroom located down the hall is easily available for daily use. This is a full bath with Shower/Tub combo, toilet, and vanity sink.
*Outdoor Deck and Backyard:
Lounging on the enormous deck overlooking the backyard is a great way to wind down after sight-seeing/visiting college campus’/seeing family/working/Paddle Boarding on the Willamette/eating too many sausages at Otto’s.
The deck has a full table with seating for 6, a stainless steel Ducane propane BBQ, a 4-chair lounging set, 2 large cantilevered umbrellas, and outdoor games.
The private backyard has a large grass and clover area for playing games and is fully fenced and for those traveling with kiddos or a pet.

Other things to note -
This house is divided with two fully separate units. Each unit has their own private entrance with a unique personal code for access. They each have separate private fenced back yards. There are no shared spaces.
*Safety:
We take your safety seriously and are fully licensed and permitted through the City of Portland. The home is up to code, fire and carbon monoxide alarms are annually tested, and we carry short-term renters’ insurance. This house has passed all of its inspection and its licensure with flying colors, so your safety and the security of your reservation will never be in jeopardy.

Pets -
Dogs are welcome at the Woodstock Retreat and have a fully fenced area to sniff and explore. Additionally, the home has a doggie door (17.5” tall by 10” wide) with access to the backyard! Please note there is a $40 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $80 (2 pets). Although we are pet-friendly for you and your pets’ safety, we recommend they not be left unattended in the house without someone present, even if in a crate/kennel. Damage costs caused by unattended pets may be requested.

Access and Parking -
Guests will have unique key-code access to their private entrance off 49th Ave.
There is plenty of parking available on 49th Ave in front of the house.

House Rules -
We want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories, while maintaining the peace and quiet of our community. The following are the house rules we ask all guests to abide by:
Please do not smoke tobacco anywhere on the property. There is no smoking of any kind inside the house.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am; please restrict all loud noise during these times.
No loud parties or large gatherings are allowed on the property.
No outside cooking equipment (e.g. BBQ grills) shall be brought onto the property.

Both Mt Tabor and Hawthorne Blvd are a 10 minute walk away. Mt Tabor is a huge park, great for walking, running, hiking, and biking. Hawthorne Blvd has a great selection of bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from, along with the iconic Bagdad Theater and Powell's Bookstore, Hawthorne location. The house is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The exterior was repainted this year and the interior was painted last year.

There is wifi and a 50" flat screen TV with several premium TV subscriptions, (Netflix, Amazon, Sling).

I live in the basement apartment with it's own kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc and I often travel so you would never see me if you didn't want to.

This adorable bungalow makes you feel like you've stepped into a fairy land. The lush gardens provide privacy in the middle of a bustling neighborhood. Inside, the high, arched ceilings give the cozy space a sense of airiness and light. The house is full of period specific charm like original doors and knobs, and built-ins. Many of the furnishings were brought back by the homeowner from her time living in Asia. The two bedrooms and one bath are ideally set up for 2-3 guests. The home offers a large screen television and wireless internet. Though there is no available washer or dryer, a laundromat is less than a 1/2 mile away. The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking needs and provides ample countertop space. Get comfy in the backyard lounge chairs as you drink your morning coffee or evening cocktail and you're likely to get a visit from the resident hummingbird and butterflies.

Studio apartment recently remodeled. Very nice inside.

The neighborhood does have some challenges however. There have been vagrancy issues nearby. I am an activist in the community and work with other homeowners to mitigate the issues. The grounds of the apartments are very nicely kept. There are many owner residents. Much of the neighborhood is quite nice. However a vacant lot adjacent to the property, not visible from your windows, attracts loitering.
Guest access
The property is listed for sale. You may be asked to allow access for showings. This would always be with a minimum of 24 hours notice. If the property were to go under sales contract, you would have 30 days to vacate and be refunded for unused days at 110% of what you paid, to aid with relocation
Other things to note
This property is only available for 28+ day stays. After booking you will be sent a rental agreement. This must be signed before you arrive. It’s a standard type of rental agreement which covers tenant and owner rights, typical for the city of Portland, including a check in process where you have the opportunity to note any defects when received. Light and bright one bedroom apartment located in the heart of southeast Portland's Foster-Powell neighborhood. Private, with a separate entrance, a full kitchen, cozy living and dining rooms and washer/dryer. The apartment is located in the basement and is about 700 sq feet. It has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and the couch in the living room pulls out into a queen-sized bed. Can accommodate up to four people. Great for families and friends (but may be a tight squeeze for four adults).

A short walk to some of Portland’s great restaurants, coffee, shops, parks, and public transportation (connecting to downtown and airport). Close to Reed College, Mt. Tabor, and the Gorge. Large yard, quiet neighborhood, and ample street parking.

Our home is in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to the commercial business district on Foster Road. There is a nice park on the same block as our home. The apartment is in the basement and is accessible by the private entrance on the side of the home. Due to the stairs, it may not be a good option for people with mobility issues or very young children. Feel free to ask me for more details if you are wondering if it’s a good fit for you.

The house is on a corner and surrounded by hedges, making it very private. There is ample street parking. There is AC and heat but no separate thermostat in the apartment. It stays very cool in the summer. For the cooler months there is an oil filled radiator for use if you'd like it a little warmer. There is a large smart TV in the living room, fast wi-fi, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. This is a true one-bedroom apartment, not a studio. There is a bedroom with a door that closes for privacy.

The entire basement is yours to enjoy. There is a small patio table and two chairs outside the apartment door. You can hang out in the yard if you’d like as well.

We are an active four-person family that lives in the home upstairs. We are mindful of our footsteps but be aware this is a 100+ year old home and there may be some noise. Please let us know if there are any issues.

We welcome your well behaved dog but please do not leave the dog alone in the apartment at any time. We do not charge a pet fee but if there is excessive pet hair, cleaning, or damage but by booking you acknowledge there may be an additional cleaning fee. We have only had one such issue and hope it remains this way. We love having your pets!

Featuring vinyl plank floors throughout, the cutest little pink couch ever, and high speed wifi we have done our best to feature the unit as accurately as possible. The space overlooks our back yard. You might see me gardening on a nice day. Big windows create lovely light but can be nice dark and cozy with the blackout curtains. Coded door latch means never losing keys. Interior has kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Exterior has outdoor kitchen with running hot water. There is a microwave, toaster and mini fridge as well as Nespresso machine. However there is no cooking equipment in this unit. It’s really geared towards someone looking for an affordable and comfortable place to explore Portland from on a 30-90 day stay.

Guest access
You have access to the patio and chairs outside the home, and the tiny home itself which is separated entirely from the main house. Note there’s no laundry in this space but there is a laundromat within 4 mins(see rules). Guests also have their own larger garbage can just outside the unit as well as a pooper scooper with bags for those with furry friends. If you need more bags let us know! We will be glad to run some out to you!

Other things to note
Feel free to smoke outdoors. We don’t mind that at all. Vaping is allowed indoors. And please clean up your ash/ trash. There’s a trash can by the patio for that use.

The TV is an Amazon Fire TV. You have to log into your Amazon account to use it.

Trash comes 1 time every two weeks so we ask guests to recycle as much as possible. We provide an extra trash can outside the unit. It's a green and black fabric cylinder next to the outdoor kitchen.

Some noise possible- We're close to the high street which is great for walking! But comes with some noise though guests have said that they cannot hear much of anything noise wise from inside the unit.

We offer use of the laundry room for an extra $20/ week. We give you one laundry day per week and a code to access the laundry room.

The fan in the bathroom turns on at the same time as the light. This is to keep the space vented due to high humidity in Oregon. We cannot turn it off.

The switch for the overhead light is next to the bedside table on a chord.

Corgis on Premises! We have 3 Corgis, they love people, they are barky and bouncy when they meet new humans, but VERY friendly (just excited)!

Welcome to our cozy corgi cottage guest room! Located in popular SE Portland with easy access to public transportation our main level guest room features a full sized memory foam bed, small sofa, smart TV, dedicated desk, high speed Wi-Fi, mini fridge, microwave and of course corgi neighbors who have never met a human they didn’t love. The bedroom is the only one located on the first floor and the only other residents (other than our corgis) are my husband Matthew and myself!

The upstairs is an open loft with a bathroom (tub/shower combo), Queen Bed (memory foam), clothing rack, game/library corner and a desk/chair.

The Rose Room also has access to a shared laundry room in the garage. This is area is shared with other tenants/ yard maintenance persons. You are welcome to use it. But please don't store valuable items here.

Adorable eco friendly tiny cottage on a mini estate with private parking and washer. An amazing view of the city from your own porch, and high speed internet are perks as well as just feeling like you are close to everything, but away from the chaos. We are only a few minutes to Trader joes and other stores as well. The backyard is a forest, and the front yard is a view of Portland from your own private patio! We do have children, so you might hear footsteps. Or playful noises. We are not the quietest household, but we do our best to keep everyone as quiet as we can when we have guests. We have chickens, a dog and two cats. Very large property. No fence.

You will have access to your room, which includes the bathroom. We don’t have a stove or oven but, you have your own full size refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee pot and, microwave. If you must use a stove or an oven, we are willing to let you use ours in the main house upon request. The laundry room is available upon request.

Other things to note
We have two cats and one dog and 2 children. While you won’t have to interact with them, you may hear them walking above you or see them playing in the front yard, as we don’t really have a back yard.
We do our best to keep their feet quiet in the area above your room, but there will still be some footstep noise. You may also hear the children playing.
We have chickens that was sometimes free range in the front yard. If you are scared of chickens, we can keep them in their coop while you are visiting. Let Us know your preference.

If you are bringing a dog, please note we do not have a fenced yard for your dog. You may walk your dog in our front yard on a leash or around the neighborhood. There is a church nearby with a very large grass yard that people run their dogs at.

There is also no stove in the kitchen net. There is a microwave and a toaster oven, but no actual stove.
