CAMERA DISCLOSURE
There is a camera overlooking the front door and driveway (ring spotlight) that automatically records audio and video of the front door exterior of the property. The camera is activated by motion and will record anyone that walks in front of it. These recordings are saved and can be reviewed and shared with the booking platform. If we believe that house rules are being violated, we have the ability to access these cameras in real time.

The private driveway was a plus but the entrance to the parking spot can be steep for some vehicles like our van, which did not make the clearance, so we ended up parking on the street for the duration of our stay. Luckily, we found parking in front of the house at all times, except on our last night, where we walked a short block. Overall, we had an awesome experience and would absolutely stay here again!"

You will have direct access to the (shared with owner) laundry room. Note: Your kitchenette and laundry room is the dividing room that separates your suite from our home.
The bathroom was built to accommodate a wheelchair. Shampoo and conditioner are provided. There are two ceiling fans. A mini-split a/c and heater. Two operable skylights are located above the sofa and also in the laundry room.

This ground level, tucked away unit is in a very central neighborhood of San Diego and is minutes away from most of San Diego's major attractions.

Guest access is controlled by an electronic lock that uses a pin number that is provided to the guess upon arrival. Guests will have access to the backyard bbq'ing area.

The host can be an interactive as the guests desire. Upon arrival, the if the host is available he generally will try to meet the guests to welcome them. From time to time he is unable to meet them and when this occurs the guests are free to enter the house immediately up on arrival.

The little known name of this small neighborhood just south of the University of San Diego is called Silver Terrace. It is a very centrally located one just minutes from numerous highly popular destinations such as: Sea World, Mission Bay Park, Mission Beach, Old Town, Downtown, Fashion Valley Mall and La Jolla. Within a 10 minute walk you'll be within range of a trolley stop, multiple coffee shops, brewery tasting room, numerous restaurants, and a YMCA.

Morena Vista Trolley stop is located within a 5-minute walk from the house. From there, it's possible to go to Little Italy, the Gaslamp District, Fashion Valley, Qualcomm Stadium, and even further east out to SDSU.

This is the ideal place for a couple due to it's location to so many family friendly attractions San Diego has to offer. Additionally, for longer term stays that require the use of laundry services, the host will provide the washer and dryer located in the unit's garage free of charge.

Beautiful and private single family house with a gameroom from a converted garage in Mission Heights. Right up the hill from Fashion Valley Mall and Highway 163, this house is in a central location perfect to all tourist, business, and convention center activities without the struggle of parking issues downtown or on the beach. 5 miles to closest beach, 7 miles to airport, and 6 miles to sea world, zoo and the convention center. Even if it you are here on our seldom rainy days you will still be enjoying yourself! The home is furnished with five large screen tvs, playing cards/games, an 8ft pool table, hot tub an 8 x 12 over ground pool and a tabletop firepit. All the comfort away from home, plenty of towels and bedding, toiletries and coffee and tea along with spices to minimize your shopping needs. This is my 3rd VRBO. If you want to be 'in the middle of the action' and be able to walk everywhere, this is probably not for you; however, if you don't mind short drives to sd attractions but would prefer a quiet place, you will probably like it here. They were so excited to see some early morning duck visitors and a tiny hummingbird nest with babies. The plants were lovely and it was really cool to have fresh lemons. Apartment is a 'granny flat' located above a garage, away from the street, and has a nice ocean view from the living room and porch. Street parking, wifi, A/C, remodeled 2023, King bed, walk-in closet, full kitchen. Very centrally located- 5.5 miles from Ocean Beach, 5.8 miles to San Diego Zoo/Balboa Park, 6.5 miles from Sea World, 7.4 miles to Little Italy, 8 miles to Petco Park/Downtown/Convention Center, 9.5 miles to La Jolla, 9 miles to SDSU, 2.8 miles to USD, 12 miles to UCSD.

Apartment is cozy, with compact living room and kitchen, but large bedroom with walk-in closet, and good sized bathroom with shower. House looks down on the rest of the neighborhood, and makes you feel like a bird in its nest! House overlooks the backyard garden. Living room looks west toward ocean. Granny flat is accessed by a series of steps that go up to the apartment from the top of the driveway; outside the front door is a covered 'lanai' or balcony that overlooks the yard and neighborhood to the northwest (mt soledad is clearly visible). Great spot for happy hour or a coffee in the morning.
The apartment is very private- you do not share a wall with the main house, and the bedroom faces east and south, so you do not hear or see main house occupants or hear street noise. Inside the door is a small but cozy living room with two chairs, two lamps, a small table between the chairs, a tv, and a small bookcase with books. Beyond the living room is a nice kitchen with full-sized fridge, gas oven and stove, a bistro-style kitchen table and two chairs, and all kitchen accessories- microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, knife set, etc. The bathroom is compact, with a decent vanity, a shower with removeable shower head 'wand', and toilet. Light in bathroom has a bluetooth speaker so you can sing in the shower.
Between the bathroom and bedroom is a large linen closet with extra towels and sheets.
The bedroom is pretty big, with a king bed with premium mattress. At the foot of the bed is a chest of drawers (9 in all) with tv above. There is a nightstand on the north side of the bed with a small lamp. Between the bed and the walk-in closet is a small desk with a few drawers and a chair. Inside the walk-in closet are extra blankets and pillows.
The neighborhood is quiet. Neighborhood was developed during WWII, and racist housing laws were suspended for the area due to the urgency of the war effort; as a result, the neighborhood is very racially mixed. Unlike a lot of areas of SD (including but not limited to South Park, Little Italy, Logan Heights, Ocean Beach, Loma Portal, Point Loma, University City, Mira Mesa, Northern La Jolla, Bankers Hill, and National City) we have no jet 'fly over'. Street parking is usually available out front. Apartment is even quieter as it's away from the street and in the backyard. If you want to walk to bars and restaurants and nightlife, this is not the apartment for you; if you would prefer to stay in a quiet neighborhood with short drives to SD attractions, this could be a great option.

The back patio was lovely and cool as it's well shaded. Perfect spot for my morning coffee. Two things to note - my car rental agency gave me a giant vehicle by mistake and it was a bit of a task to back it up the steep, narrow driveway, so get a small to med sized car or SUV and you should be fine. Second, this is a bottom floor rental so you will hear some of the movement of the people above. Not a big deal to us. And a weird note, perhaps, but I loved the lock mechanism - it was the easiest one I've ever used and worked like a charm every time - loved it!"

- "Everything about the property listing was as expected for our Thursday to Sunday stay. Exception was that there was not cable provided by Spectrum; only streaming services available. As for the house rules, they were reasonable. We had other occupants stay on the upper floors on Friday and Saturday night and they weren’t so respectful us on the 1st floor. We won’t elaborate on the details but we were given instructions to respect the neighbors and other tenants in the house…just wish they did the same. Only suggestion to owners would be to provide a small ironing board and iron and plastic cups for the outside jacuzzi. Our room was comfortable very clean."

Living room has a small couch with large tv (49" I think). Apartment has mini split air conditioning and heat pump for winter. Kitchen has view of backyard and breakfast bar. Full size fridge. Gas stove. Laundry on site in back yard. Back yard is pretty large, with trees and large paved sitting area (fenced). Nice private outdoor area in back. Quiet. If you want to walk everywhere and be in the 'middle of the action', this is probably not for you. But if you don't mind short drives to SD attractions but would prefer a quieter setting, you'll probably like it here. Urban hiking close by in Tecolote Canyon.

Talk with your roommates about using the heater and make sure to find a compromise that works for everybody. Offer to pay more of the electricity bill if you absolutely want to use the heater. Most people in San Diego do not use the heater because it gets very expensive... just pack some warm clothing!

We recommend using a car for your stay in San Diego, however you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to quickly get to where you need, or you can take the trolley or bus to get downtown without having to worry about parking.

You can access the backyard, pool, deck tables, gazebo, and garden via the Garage Side gate. The pool cover is on to keep the pool warm and clean. Directions to roll it up are in your welcome booklet.

Brand new renovation on a cozy studio guesthouse in a great central location. All construction is completely new including full bathroom, full kitchen, air conditioning, hardwood floors, and 50 inch TV.

Laundry is on site and shared with the main house (single occupant owner). Wifi, and all amenities are included.
