This quaint 1 bedroom furnished apt. is located downstairs in our historic brick English tudor home. You have a separate key, private entrance, and courtyard. The space is well-lit with two windows and has a back door to a beautiful garden and patio in the backyard as well as a side door to the courtyard. We also use very careful required sanitation procedures between guests!
Our home is located Laurelhurst, a registered historic district. Laurelhurst is one of Portland's oldest and most beautiful planned communities. We are located on a quiet, tree lined street within 10 minutes of the city and 15 min. from the airport. Major shopping, wonderful restaurants and one of Portland's most beautiful parks are all within walking distance. This ideal location is only two blocks from a several bus lines and 5 blocks from the MAX (light rail train) The MAX can take downtown in the matter of minutes . It is also within walking distance of favorite east side shopping and dining areas, including Hawthorne, Belmont and 28th street.
When you enter this charming mid-century decorated apartment you will immediately feel at home! You will find a comfortable queen sized bed, overstuffed chair and desk with mesh internet service. Good size TV Roku access, DVD player(some DVD's available) in the bedroom. The nicely tiled bathroom has a tub and shower. Although there is not a separate "living room" you will find the apartment very cosy and comfortable. The William Waters House is on a quiet residential street and we have amazing neighbors on all sides. We strive to maintain positive relations with them, so for this reason we ask that you respect house rules around the 9-person maximum, noise level and parking.

Interaction with Guests:
We enjoy meeting guests upon your request but also understand and respect your privacy. We are usually nearby, and always available by text or phone to address any needs you have.

Other things to note:
The apartment is the entire first level of a 3-story historic home and the upper levels of the home are separate living quarters that we live in. While generally very quiet, there is some minimal sound transference. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am. Again, parties are strictly prohibited.

Security Camera:
There is a motion-activated security camera on the front porch directed toward the sidewalk which can record audio/visual. The field of view is limited to a small section of the front porch and out toward the street.

The Irvington neighborhood:
Our location provides the best of both worlds. We are uniquely situated very close to downtown and hip east side neighborhoods, while also being tucked away on a quiet residential street next to a park. Our neighborhood, Irvington, is an upscale, historic, architecturally splendid area, great for quiet walks or for getting downtown in a heartbeat.

3. No parties, or outside guests without previous approval from your host

5. Do not have any packages delivered before/during/ after your stay to this address

6. If you break or damage anything , please let us know and we can arrange for its repair and replacement.

7. Do not leave any food out that attract uninvited pests

8. The courtyard area at the front of the tiny house for you to enjoy the yard to the left of the tiny house is our private area

9. The driveway is not available for parking, if you have a vehicle please park on the street (unmetered free parking).

10. Quiet times between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.

11. No burning of incense or candles on the property

13 Any stains from beverages, food or lubricants that cant be removed, you will be charged for replacement.

14. If traveling with a Service Animal, we appreciate transparent communication regarding bringing a service animal to Ye Old Tiny House as there are additional rules that then apply.

15 The property is only suitable for 2 people, under no circumstances can a third person stay overnight.

16. No early check in or late check out.

17. Do not bring or use instapots, or any other additional cooking machines with you as it will overpower the kitchen circuits.

18. As this is a relatively small space, as a courtesy to future quests we ask that you refrain from the preparation or cooking of strong aromatic foods and spices.

19. We are not able to accommodate charging of electric vehicles.

20. Please do not plug anything into the back of the tv as it’s hard to access and it loosens the wall bracket.

Go for a 3 mile hike up to Mt Tabor and get a great view of downtown Portland and watch the sunset.

Colorful & relaxing: your stay is sure to be pleasant in this easy, convenient, and charming Roseway neighborhood home. The 104-year-old house has two queen bedrooms on the main floor, and a larger "lounge" upstairs. The living room couch pulls out into a comfy bed, and upstairs lounge area has a double futon and double bed. Mattresses are new, towels and sheets are high quality. The furnishings are fun, funky, and vintage-y unfancy ~ while never compromising comfort. You'll enjoy a large kitchen with lots of countertops and work space, a big fridge, and a 6-burner Viking cooktop. Within a 10-minute walk you'll find some great restaurants, but you might just want to stay in!

~ There's an additional apartment below the house - sharing no space with the bungalow, and no noise. This is where the laundry room is. I may be using the space, or not, but won't be in your way.

Our family welcomes you to a slice of our Portland life. We live in a quiet residential neighborhood where the sounds you are most likely to encounter are the distant squawks of our backyard chickens, the pitter-patter of raindrops on the skylight, or the occasional children's squeal or dog bark.

Jewel in the Sky in Portland, OR is a converted loft above our garage using all new construction and furnishings to give you a truly luxurious and modern get-away experience. The interior style will make you feel refreshed, energized and comfortable. The 340 sq. ft. space resembles a studio apartment that offers an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling. You have your choice of flooding light or blackout darkness with our flexible window options/features. The central skylight offers a partial view of mature Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar trees off to the west. To the east, you have views of the top of our nearby extinct volcano, Mt. Tabor (which also happens to offer numerous hiking paths and a gorgeous view of downtown Portland and the sunset).

While we know many people will be out adventuring for much of your stays, we wanted a cozy place people could use as a respite from a busy day of adventuring (or to enjoy for an extended-length stay). We have tried to incorporate as many of the little amenities we could think of (and fit in) so that our guests are not wanting for anything.

Alternatively, you can also order takeout, sink into the couch and catch up on your favorite shows or movies at home with our 40” flat screen Smart TV on wheels (watch from anywhere in the unit). We offer Satellite DIRECTV with 150+ channels plus apps (like Netflix, Hulu) to stream your favorite shows (using your personal subscriptions).

Finally, unwind at the end of your day in the plush queen bed topped with a memory foam mattress. It is so comfy you will curl your toes in delight and feel the bed give you a big, warm hug! Turn on the sound spa machine for a variety of nature sounds to put your mind at ease. The queen bed is constructed with headboard shelves to easily contain personal items including electronic devices, C-Pap machines, reading materials or that soothing evening glass of wine. Adjustable and dimmable bedside lighting allows late-night reading without bothering your partner. Ceiling height wardrobe cabinets can store your clothes and shoes in an organized fashion. While our space is most comfortable for two people, we can accommodate up to four people utilizing the queen-sized sleeper sofa as needed.

If you must break the fun and do some laundry, we offer an ALL-IN-ONE washer/dryer machine. This is a common space-saving machine used in Europe, in which one machine does both the washing and drying. This means one load can take hours to complete (ideal for starting a load before you head out for the day and coming back to a finished load of laundry, but not ideal if you will have many loads of laundry to clean). We have a nearby laundromat for bulk laundry, if you have that need.

You will access the garage loft by walking up our driveway toward the garage and entering through a side door of the garage. A keyless touch-screen deadbolt allows for easy access and security (a personal code will be assigned to you based on the last four digits of the phone number on the reservation). You will then ascend one flight of indoor stairs to reach the loft.

Fresh fruit and a whole bag of coffee! liquid creamers! First aid kit! We did not cook so cannot speak to that but it seemed as if there was everything there- even bags and wraps etc. Great A/C. The host was beyond helpful even when we had some unusual needs/requests. The yard and the chickens ( no noise from them) it all was just quaint and beautiful. Enjoy relaxing in the living room in front of the gas fireplace, watching your favorite show or movie on the Roku-equipped television, reading a favorite book, or working on a puzzle surrounded with lots of natural light.

Our house is nestled within a friendly and safe neighborhood. Enjoy short walks to the Hollywood Farmer’s Market, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Hollywood Theater, and a variety of restaurants including brew pubs, coffee shops, family-friendly and fine dining (including the winner of Portland's best new restaurant in 2023).

Getting Around

Our home is located just a short drive to the freeway allowing for convenient access to the airport (15 min.), downtown Portland (10 min.), and many other neighborhoods. Using public transportation around the city and to and from the airport is incredibly convenient as the Hollywood MAX (light rail) station and three major bus lines (#75, #77 & #12) are located just a few blocks from our house.

OUR STERILIZATION PROCESS:
Everyone is concerned about Covid-19, we are too. That's why we are going above and beyond to keep our guests safe. Here is what we are doing:

1. Any cleaner that has any symptoms of cold or flu will not be doing cleans.
2. When arriving at the property our cleaners are washing their hands thoroughly before they begin.
3. All touchable surfaces including door knobs, handles, remotes, counters, light switches etc. are all thoroughly sterilized.
4. As is the norm, all sheets, towels, pillows etc are washed with bleach.
5. We use an Ozone Air Purifier to sterilize all other surfaces (floors, furniture, throw pillows etc)

You can have the peace of mind that you are walking into a completely sterilized space.

As of The 20-teens we have joined the parent club and now have a nifty little dude dancing around the place from about 10am on. On the other hand if you enjoy them and also your privacy, there are doors (plural) to close between where you sleep and the common spaces, so hopefully his scampering feet , enthusiastic monologues and harmonica solos would never bother your general flow of life. I have dogs and a cat who are not allowed in the room but are in the home. You're welcome to smoke (nicotine or cannabis) as long as it's outside. The bedroom and bathroom are located off the kitchen. I do my best to be quiet and respectful as much as possible. The dogs don’t bark much but do like to play.

Brand new construction, tile bathroom with shower, new queen bed, kitchenette (no stove) but convection oven/toaster and microwave.
Wifi and 47" TV with Netflix. Plenty of space indoors to store two bikes or skis. Cool in the summer, cozy in the winter. Safe space, relaxing and comfortable.

Guest access
Your own private space with separate keyless entry. Laundry facilities available along with a clothes steamer (upon request).
Swimming pool is not heated. The winter months provide for a cold plunge experience, open year-round. No lifeguard on duty, so you'll need to supervise your children. Patio with BBQ. Pool/Pool-yard is for guests only.

Plenty of street parking.

If ice is needed for beverages, we have ice trays in our basement refrigerator freezer for your use (just ask, please), or if you need to store food in our freezer as the mini fridge does not have a freezer.

Entry doorway located next to 'R' on side of house.
If you are walking from 58th, go through the front gate and follow the path to the right to the first door.
If you are entering from Klickitat street, enter through the garden gate and follow the path, turning to your left where you will see the "R" next to your door.

The private 2 bedroom suite is located in the upper level inside our home with a shared entrance. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. There is a small refrigerator, coffee/tea only - no microwave or kitchen use. It will be reserved for your exclusive use during your stay.

The space
You will have access to the entire upper level of our home which consists of 2 bedrooms and a private bathroom with a shower and bathtub. One of the bedrooms has a double bed with a love seat and the other room a queen bed. This space will be private and your party will have exclusive use during your stay. We have ample parking in front of the house. Please do not park in the driveway.

The listing includes exclusive use of the upstairs bedroom(s) and private bathroom. The rest of the home is not included for use.

Welcome to our little house! Located in the wonderful Rose City Park neighborhood and close to the 60th Ave. MAX station, Hollywood District, and downtown Portland - this little house is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. With a short 10 minute drive to downtown Portland and the convenience of public transportation, enjoy everything our city has to offer - your home away from home.

The space
Our cozy backyard cottage lives larger than its almost 500 square feet. With a full kitchen, including full size appliances, you'll have all the conveniences of home. Located behind our main house, we are only a quick call or door knock away.

Guest access
Our guests have the convenience of self check-in. A designated check-in time is not required.

Our little house is 1 bedroom/1 bathroom with additional sleeping accommodations provided by a sleeper sofa. There is also plenty of free on-street parking available for our guests.

Amazing remodeled typical Portland house built in 1912.
Laminate flooring, clawfoot tub, shampoo, body wash, ironing board, hairdryer, and washer and dryer, granite counter tops, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, full size range with oven, pans and pots, just in case you feel like cooking (Even though we have amazing and affordable restaurants in town which I can point you out!)
I offer towels, comforters and high-end bed sheets on queen size beds.

No need to pay for parking! Private 24 hr. entrance.
The apartment is located on the top floor of a Duplex.
