- "I am a sucker for older, well maintained homes with character. This home delivered! Loved the vibe. It felt like stepping into a Time Machine. Also loved the Japan / Frank Lloyd Wright inspired layout/design. Interesting influences but it works! Floor to ceiling windows and long hallways make this home feel truly unique. Very comfortable living spaces. Plenty of room for a family of five (in fact we ended up not even using one of the bedrooms). Entire family slept well. No complaints about the beds/bedding. Kitchen was well stocked. There wasn’t anything we needed that wasn’t there.Neighborhood was gorgeous. We walked to the arboretum in less than 10min. Grocery store was not too far away. Very close to downtown but feels like you are in another world.Had some minor issues at check in but once we got in contact with the direct-manager, he went above and beyond to make sure the rest of our stay was comfortable and without stress (shout out to Josh!).Highly recommend this property and we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town."

Sunny Stanhope Cottage is a sunny, spacious 120 year old Dutch Colonial Duplex in the beautiful, peaceful, historic Portland Heights neighborhood overlooking downtown Portland.
We are located in a quiet historic neighborhood, surrounded by nature, with plenty of space to go on walks and bike riding but close to downtown and restaurants. Bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks and deer can be spotted as well as many song birds. With our two outdoor decks and large kitchen and living room it is a perfect place to relax with your family.
The duplex is only 5 minutes (just over a mile) to the shops, restaurants and cafes of the Alphabet District (NW 23rd), downtown and Pearl. Close to OHSU and PSU. The 1400 square foot lower duplex is available year round for stays up to 5 weeks and features an open floor plan, two decks with site views up to Council Crest, southern exposure for sun all day long, two bedrooms with queen beds, a fold down couch bed for one more person in the living room, a beautiful dinning room for 8 people, a fully equipped kitchen (perfect for home cooked meals) and a very large living room. Great for family gatherings for holidays, showers, weddings, graduation, etc.
Please note that the bedrooms are organized in a tandem layout with a hall to the bathroom between them. So our place is better for single couples, families and groups of friends than for two unrelated couples who may want privacy during sleep hours. Per city regulation our max occupancy is 5 overnight.
The immediate neighborhood offers excellent walking, jogging and biking along tree lined streets filled with beautiful old Portland homes. Council Crest (Portland's highest point) and Washington Park Rose Garden are 20 minutes by foot. The Vista Spring Cafe is a 5 minute walk away and close to the bus stop for line 51.
The duplex also features a 7 foot Mason Hamlin Piano which is available to serious pianists with advance notice. A guitar is available to all. Keith and Rocio are your hosts. We live in the upper duplex. We are quiet and work full time but friendly and helpful if you need us. House is equipped with a stereo and smart tv with basic cable only (bring your books or tablet for streaming) and it has central heat and air conditioning via our new heat pump. Summers in Oregon tend to not be very hot with low humidity. We also provide both fans and space heaters in addition to the heat pump.

Nice kitchen with all necessary appliances for anyone who wants to cook. Not to mention a beautiful piano if you play. Hosts were accomodating and available, even while away on vacation themselves. Take in to account single lane driveway, so if you have your own car you'll need to coordinate parking with the host. Also, as a family of 5 we had enough beds, but not enough storage for clothes, etc. Overall the setting is beautiful and the house is lovely and I would highly recommend it."

I live in a two-story ranch home with a full daylight two-bedroom apartment on the lower level. The property abuts a forested area with walking trails and is very close to iconic Portland green-spaces like The Rose Garden, Forest Park, Washington Park and the Hoyt Arboretum. The apartment itself sleeps four in the bedrooms with space for one or two more on a futon in the living room, however, due to local laws there is a five guest limit. There is also a private entrance, and kitchenette which makes this space ideal for a small group of people looking for a quiet, private retreat within a 10-minute drive to the city center.

This Castle like home is a one of a kind design that was made to look similar to a castle. It Is beautiful and luxurious, it is one of the most central single family resident homes between Beaverton and downtown.
A washer and dryer are also located on the main level. Second level consists of an open two story living room with a couch that turns into a queen bed, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a walk in closet. Third level consists of a master bedroom with a king size bed and a full bathroom with double sinks. The back yard has a new Hot Tub and an outside dinner table for 6 guests.
This home can accommodate 8 people comfortably.
Generally, we do not allow pets but you can contact us about your scenario.
We have several televisions available for your use. The living room and master bedroom have flat screen televisions with DVD players and USB chords provided for use with your own devises.

The apartment is large, spacious, airy and open, tastefully furnished in a modern/minimal/cleaned-up-boho style that’s very comfortable. It’s a 2-bedroom that is currently set up as a 1-bedroom (king bed) with den/office with daybed (with true twin mattress). It’s great for WFH and it’s ideally set up for a couple, but can also work well for roommates or a family. The location, layout, newness, privacy and views make it a really special place to spend time.

The guesthouse is a 10 minute drive to the city center (Pioneer Courthouse Square). Ride shares (Lyft and Uber) typically arrive within 5-10 minutes. There is ample, free street parking outside of the guesthouse. A dedicated parking spot is available for guests in the driveway.
The guesthouse is located in Portland Heights, an iconic neighborhood in Portland's West Hills. It's a quiet, residential area, with beautiful old Portland homes and incredible views. Vista Springs Cafe, one of the last-standing genuine neighborhood restaurants in Portland, is a short walk through the neighborhood (0.2 miles from the house). We're less than a mile from the Marquam Nature Park - its several trails and breathtaking views wind through the West Hills and connect to OHSU and Council Crest. Only ten minutes to downtown by car, we're even nearer to Portland's renowned NW Alphabet District. There you'll find Zupan's, a premium grocery store with an excellent deli, and some of the best (sales tax free!) shopping the city has to offer. We're centrally located for easy access to all parts of the city, including nearby freeway entrances to Beaverton (Nike's World Headquarters) and Hillsboro (home of Intel).

Welcoming you is a street-facing balcony featuring a sculptural bronze and concrete fountain. Swing open the wide French doors and allow the soothing sounds to fill the space! The home’s split-level entry connects the upper-level living and lower level sleeping areas. Once inside, a ribbon of white-washed oak flows from the entry foyer to the lower level, wrapping the stairs and walls with its warmth. Upstairs the wood’s texture is seen in stark relief to the polished concrete floors and the crisp white walls of the vaulted space. Downstairs the wood, coupled with the muted tones of moss green walls, lend the sleeping area a tranquil feel. Step outside where the landscape’s terraced levels reveal lush Pacific Northwest natives whose rich foliage and texture define a garden sanctuary.
Meticulous attention to detail can be seen throughout the house from the elegant kitchen casework fitted with quartz counters to the spa-like lower level bath completely sheathed in Calacatta marble. Thoughtfully placed windows afford considerable natural light with utmost privacy, while radiantly heated floors guarantee a comfortable environment customized to your needs.
Guests will have full, private access to all areas of the guesthouse. That includes three balconies: one street-facing on the main level, one overlooking lush NW foliage off the kitchen, and one off the bedroom on the lower level. Stairs from the lower balcony lead to a bonus patio area with chairs, also dedicated to guests. Below the small patio is a dining table and fire-pit that guests are welcome to access. The owners of the main house, Sarah and Michael, share the dining and fire-pit area.
Guests control the amount of interaction and privacy they desire. Katherine, our cohost, is always available to answer questions or provide recommendations via Airbnb messenger, phone, or text. Owners Sarah and Michael reside in the main house next door and are available to answer questions and accommodate guests' needs. Communicate your desired level of interaction and we will happily oblige!
The home is limited to three full-time guests, but we welcome you to entertain small groups as desired. However, we do not allow parties or large events.
The guesthouse is detached from the main house where owners Sarah and Michael reside with their two Glen of Imaal Terriers, Rua & Tristan. The dogs never enter the guesthouse, making it a dander-free residence. Although the guesthouse is private and detached, Sarah and Michael are typically onsite and available to answer questions and accommodate guests' needs.
We’re happy to make up the sofa bed for you. Please let us know if you would like us to set it up on your behalf. See the printed house manual for additional details. Extra bedding is located on the lower level, in the far right push-latch closet.

It’s only a 5 min walk to the famous year-round Farmer’s Market on the PSU campus. In Under 15 minutes you can walk to concert halls, several theaters, restaurants, Pearl District, Alphabet District, and more.
Or you can head to the Portland Zoo, Children’s Museum and Forest Park trails for a run or walk, in less than a 10 minute drive. This is the ideal place to stay and enjoy all that Portland offers.

Other things to note
I offer guided visits to the Arboretum, found less than a mile from my home and the Japanese Garden. There are only about two dozen private residences in Portland with as close or closer proximity to the Oregon Zoo, the Hoyt Arboretum and the World Forestry Center. Out of all of the homes in the Portland area, mine is closer to these places than more than 99.99% of homes. During spring, summer and fall, the free Washington Park Shuttle passes within 1/2 mile of my home on a continuous 15 minute loop to the International Rose Test Garden & Japanese Garden, the Archery Range and the MAX Station adjacent to the Oregon Zoo. Just minutes to downtown, the home is an excellent base of operations for a visit to Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast.

This must be arranged in advance, of course, and it is subject to my availability, which is generally pretty good.
Other things to note
Hoyt Arboretum, The Oregon Zoo, The World Forestry Center, The Children's Museum, Wildwood Trail, the Vietnam Memorial; all of these iconic Portland attractions are within a mile of my home. Add another mile to include Pittock Mansion, Portland's International Rose Garden, and the Japanese Garden. Situated in an exclusive neighborhood with numerous multimillion dollar homes in the immediate vicinity, the home is less than 4 miles from NW 23rd Avenue's shopping district, which includes Salt & Straw, the famous ice cream parlor, the Pearl, Powell's Books, Voodoo Doughnut, and many of Portland's finest and most popular restaurants. The space
Two guest bedrooms in a beautiful home in one of the most exclusive residential neighborhoods in Oregon. No smoking.
Bedroom 1 has a Queen sized bed with memory foam mattress topper, and is slightly larger than the other bedroom. Both bedrooms also include a desk/workstation. The large, 55-inch hi-definition smart TV can also double as a computer monitor.
Bedroom 2 also has a Queen sized bed with a very comfortable IKEA mattress, and includes a hi definition TV equipped with a Roku device and premium viewing options.
Both bedrooms have closet space, extra blankets, pillows and towels. The large, full bathroom is exclusively dedicated to these two bedrooms, and not used by the host.
Guests also enjoy access to the full kitchen, dining, and living room areas.

If my schedule allows, I *may* be able to pick you up at the nearest MAX (Portland's light rail) station, which is located at Washington Park, adjacent to the Oregon Zoo, about 1 mile away. This must be arranged in advance, of course, and it is subject to my availability, which is generally pretty good. I'm a local area expert and host a highly rated Airbnb Experience in the nearby Hoyt Arboretum (house guests enjoy a 1/2 price discount) and am happy to offer insights and guidance on many aspects of your visit to Portland.

This is an ideally located and lovingly furnished large one bedroom daylight basement (bottom floor of our home), among the trees of the Southwest Hills. Family and pet-friendly. It is a short drive to both downtown Portland and Beaverton.
Please note: there is a gravel path with stairs to your private entrance, so this is not the place for you if you have any mobility issues or cumbersome luggage. Also, we live upstairs and so you are likely to hear footsteps on occasion.
It has a luxurious bathroom with large shower, double sink and basic amenities. The bedroom has lovely views of the well-manicured garden and a Smart TV. The private patio has a woodsy view of the hills & valley below.
There’s a second tv in the living area, along with a large sectional and kitchenette. The kitchenette serves the needs for basic cooking with mini-fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster oven and flatware & cookware (Please note that there is no stove, oven, or freezer).
We are in the residential area of the Southwest hills, above downtown and the Alphabet District (aka Nob Hill, NW 23rd Avenue and NW 21st Avenue). It is a steep and curvy drive, but beautiful and full of interesting views, and only a 10-15 minute drive from most attractions and restaurants. Don't miss Council Crest Park just down the road with a view of all 5 mountains on a clear day (including Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens).
We have stayed in many holiday rentals throughout the US, Europe and Asia... some good, many great, and a few horrible. We took everything we could from these experiences to design what we feel is a welcoming furnished rental.

Our home is tucked away at the edge of Forest Park and nestled at the base of the OHSU foothills. This cozy 1-bdrm, 1,200 sq ft suite feels like a secluded retreat in the woods — yet it's just minutes from everything. Despite its peaceful, nature-rich setting, you're only 7 mins from downtown, 6 mins to OHSU, 10 mins to Nike, etc. Every corner of town is within a 10–20 min drive. Car is needed. A stay here offers the chance to interact with two friendly cats, who live upstairs with the hosts.

While our property is nestled among forested land and offers a serene environment, we want to be upfront about the fact that you will hear road noise from US-26 in the backyard, on the deck & faintly in the bedrooms. We have installed double-pane windows and soundproofing measures to minimize the impact of the noise inside the home. We also provide white noise machines in bedrooms. Most of our guests don't find it distracting from their overall experience, but we want to make sure you're aware. The presence of the forest helps to buffer the noise, but we recommend keeping this in mind, especially if you have a sensitivity to noise and are prone to light sleep.
The house is accessed through a private driveway (shared with another house). This driveway is steep, so please be careful driving down to the house.
Our impressive 14-foot swim spa is a fantastic amenity for relaxation and swimming. However, please note that it is 4 feet deep and can generate significant water currents when all the jets are turned on. As such, it may not be suitable for young children or novice swimmers without proper supervision and guidance.
We offer Swim Spa and Sauna as amenities to our guests but if something were to happen during your stay, we will do everything at our capacity to fix it as soon as possible.
The living room includes two Restoration Hardware couches. To preserve the pristine condition of these premium furnishings, we kindly request that guests exercise care to prevent any spillage or stains. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining the beauty of our living room.
The house is equipped with a tankless hot water heater for unlimited hot water. The house is equipped with Level 2 charger and the charging times are from 9PM to 7AM on weekdays and all day on weekends.

A wooded trail leads into Hoyt Arboretum in less than 10 minutes. Great access to Portland food scene. The coast is 1.5 hours.
Home is furnished with period furnishings. Living room floor to ceiling windows you just see a dense woodland crowned with 125 foot tall Douglas firs.
The space
Highland Road is on the western boundary of Washington Park. It’s one of Portland most beautiful roads. You enter into a vaulted entry area/main living room with formal dining. Master bedroom and bath is on one side of the home and there is a pocket door that can separate the second bedroom and bath into its own suite. Large just rehabbed kitchen with comfortable underfoot cork flooring and huge breakfast bar. Large deck on the back of the house. Walk down the side of the house 2 levels to the peninsula deck and then you can go down another level to the meditation grotto and flow the path down to the spiritual spot. . One driveway spot is included. A space a couple of cars for guests on the side of the road.

Perched in the West Hills of Portland, this detached guesthouse blends seamlessly with the original 1960’s multi-level home next door. Generous multi-level decks flanking this compact home on both the North and South sides inspire indoor-outdoor living.
Welcoming you is a street-facing balcony featuring a sculptural bronze and concrete fountain. Swing open the wide French doors and allow the soothing sounds to fill the space! The home’s split-level entry connects the upper-level living and lower level sleeping areas. Once inside, a ribbon of white-washed oak flows from the entry foyer to the lower level, wrapping the stairs and walls with its warmth. Upstairs the wood’s texture is seen in stark relief to the polished concrete floors and the crisp white walls of the vaulted space. Downstairs the wood, coupled with the muted tones of moss green walls, lend the sleeping area a tranquil feel. Step outside where the landscape’s terraced levels reveal lush Pacific Northwest trees, whose rich foliage and texture define a garden sanctuary.
Meticulous attention to detail can be seen throughout the house from the elegant kitchen casework fitted with quartz counters to the spa-like lower level bath completely sheathed in Calacatta marble. Guests will have full, private access to all areas of the guesthouse. That includes three balconies: one street-facing on the main level, one overlooking lush NW foliage off the kitchen, and one off the bedroom on the lower level. Stairs from the lower balcony lead to a bonus patio area with chairs, also dedicated to guests. Below the small patio is a parterre with dining table + shade structure, also for guests' private use.
Other things to note
The home is limited to two full-time guests. No overnight visitors, and we do not allow parties or events. The space is not suitable for children.
The guesthouse is nestled within a close-knit neighborhood community. It is detached from the main house where owners Sarah and Michael reside with their two Glen of Imaal Terriers, Rua & Tristan. The dogs never enter the guesthouse, making it a dander-free residence. Although the guesthouse is private and detached, Sarah and Michael are typically onsite and available to answer questions and accommodate guests' needs.
We’re happy to make up the sofa bed for you. Please let us know if you would like us to set it up on your behalf. See the printed house manual for additional details. Extra bedding is located on the lower level, in the far right push-latch closet.
A dedicated parking spot in the main driveway is available for guests. There is also ample, free street parking. See the "Getting around" section for details.

Other things to note
B.1. Provide rental arrangements limited to single ASTR group only, with a maximum of 2 guests per legal bedroom at any one time, regardless of age. If the maximum number of five (5) bedrooms are rented, ASTR group size is limited to ten (10) people.
B.2. Use of all outdoor spaces, including the front and rear porches, are prohibited between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a .m. all days by ASTR guests.
B.3. ASTR use on the site must not create noise impacts in violation of Portland City Title 18, Noise Control, which prohibits the following:
• Operating or permitting the use or operation of any device designed for sound production or reproduction in such a manner as to cause a noise disturbance; or
• Operating or permitting the operating or use of any such device between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7a.m. to be plainly audible within any dwelling unit which is not the source of sound.
B.4. Commercial meetings, including luncheons, banquets, parties, weddings, meetings, charitable fundraising, commercial or advertising activities, or other gatherings for direct or indirect compensation, are not allowed and house rules must be amended to reflect this.
