Currently there are 2 long-term tenants (bank officer/ company Excecutive) who work at nearby walking distance area, but are rarely in - so privacy is definitely no issue.
My past guests records were mostly professional from world wide and other states; they are doctors, government & 5 stars hotel's executives, university pre graduates who were here doing their internship and banker who is still currently staying. They are from other different states.
You can use most of the units, living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc.), everything is available except other people's bedrooms.
Many long-term residents have stayed here in the past decade, most from all over the world, including doctors, government officials, five-star hotel managers, university graduate students who have come to Kota Kinabalu for internships and bankers who have lived for four years.

Space – The guest house includes a private combined bathroom with toilet and a s queen bed. Additional extra single bed upon request with a Fee available. Guests will also be provided with hot and cold- water shower system, air- conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, iron, free WiFi, as well as free breakfast, coffee, tea, and clean drinking water (tap water is not safe to consume in Malaysia for foreigners who may not know this). Our guest house is located to the rear of the property, unattached to the main house which will afford guests plenty of privacy. There is a parking space available for guests who require it. This space is ideal for couples or groups/families of 3.

Location – We are 15 minutes from the airport by taxi/Grab. This central location also places guests within 5-10 minute distance of the main city and various other tourist destinations. Directly across the road from us is Lintas Plaza, a bustling district of shops including supermarkets, bars, famous restaurants and cafes boasting delicious local and international cuisines, spas, hair salons, laundromat, bank, and even a golf driving range.

Interaction with Guests – I am a semi-retired Piano technician and my wife is a housewife so we are always a text or call away if you need anything. There is also have a pool table that is only available upon request. We completely understand if you would prefer to enjoy your holiday in privacy and are happy to accommodate this. If you’re looking for any tips and tricks for getting around our city or the best spots for food, we’re here to help. Otherwise, feel free to come into my workshop for a chat anytime.

The neighbourhood – We live in a nice and quiet neighbourhood and it is very safe, populated mostly by families and older couples. However as we are right next to a busy shop area, you are never far from any kind of services or late-night snacks!

Getting around – Kota Kinabalu does not have the most reliable public transport, so we suggest using Grab to get around or renting a car if you’re here for a longer stay.
Note – My wife speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Malay, and we both speak English so we are able to help out our international guests.

Due to the fact that we do not have the appropriate services and safety measures in place for babies, infants and young children, we do not allow children under 7 years old to stay in our Airbnb. Thank you for your understanding.
