The room was nice and quiet and it had a good aircon. The WiFi signal was a bit on the weak side in my room, my phone lost the connection every now and then. However a number of seemingly small issues had a big negative effect. No toilet paper or shampoo were provided and even the soap was almost finished. Luckily there was a minimarket very close for buying toilet paper. The staff didn't speak English. The man who was mostly at the front desk didn't even bother to respond to my greetings which I made in English when passing by. The breakfast was supposed to start at 7 AM. The only day I had breakfast it wasn't ready until 7:40. It was also minimal, consisting of a bread roll, a toast and a fruit. "

Perfect and quite location on Sommerschield neighborhood, this place is a traditional wood floor house with large windows in the living room . The feelings are cozy, warm, like home. There is a super spacious living room with a dining table that seats 6, one couch for 4. There is also a spacious balcony with two chairs to enjoy your time.

Three double bedrooms, two of them en-suite. Each room has a wardrobe where you can keep your clothes and luggage. All rooms has air conditioner and are equipped with towels and sheets which are regularly changed.

There are three complete bathrooms, two with showers and one with bathtub. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need and there is also a kitchen countertop that seats 4 for your quick meals :).

Maria has substantial experience as a housekeeper. She will let you into her home and serve you fresh fruits from the garden for breakfast, depending on the season. She can also serve you the other meals you need and do you laundry for a small fee.

The standard is modest, reflecting the lives of ordinary people in the suburbs of Maputo. One bedroom is available with a wide single bed. Another room without a bed can also be used, but you will need to bring camping equipment for sleeping if you want to stay there.

There are transports of all prices nearby too, from semi-collective ‘chapas’, to ‘txopelas’ (‘tuk-tuks’) and taxis.

We are about 25 minutes drive from the airport, walking distance from the Intercape bus stop and 6 minutes drive from the Cheetah Express Shuttle stop next to Mundo’s restaurant on Eduardo Mondlane Avenue.

We are located in the beautiful and secure neighborhood of Bairro Triunfo in Maputo - a largely expat community with fresh air and decent environment.

The space
This is a very beautiful room with all you need for a comfortable stay. Your room has, among other things, a cable tv subscription, work desk/chair, electric kettle, AC, private bathroom, etc.

If you are lucky to be staying when the other Guest Cottage is not occupied you can freely enjoy its private swimming pool.

We are located in one of the most secure areas of Maputo home to senior government officials, military and para-military personnel, corporate executives and entrepreneurs.

There is safe parking inside the compound - only one car.

FOREIGNER?
If you are coming to Maputo for the first time, or are not familiar with Maputo, it is advisable to get a local sim card with data at the border/airport. This will aid your communication.
But more importantly, a local number will help you utilize the local ride hailing service called YANGO. It's like Uber. it's more convenient, cheaper and safe if you don't have your own transport or you plan to move around with taxis. Once you get the local sim with data, download the app and submit your new local number when completing personal details. We wish you a lovely stay in Mozambique.

Our apartment is cozy and spacious in the heart of the city of Maputo. You'll love my place because of the good atmosphere. You have access to all the common spaces in the apartment. Our home is located in the central neighborhood, nightlife, shops, markets, supermarkets, cafes, and bars near us. The building offers 24-hour security.

The space
This apartment is a 4 bedroom colonial apartment, but with excellent maintenance and updating, the decoration is simple and cozy.
We have a large living room, 2 bathrooms ( one service and one general), the kitchen is fully equipped.
It offers a beautiful view of the city.

You will have access to all the common spaces of the apartment: living room , balconies and kitchen.

Other things to note
Please avoid walking through the night with visible valuables such as laptops, cameras, cell phones, jewelry, watches, etc.
People are very kind and helpful here, but we should avoid drawing too much attention to our belongings.
Always ask for prices before getting into a taxi.

Always wash your fruits and vegetables before eating and cooking.
Whenever you go for a walk, take water with you.
