- "The Bandos Island was very close to the Male international airport. Food was good and Gala dinner was amazing. The room is enough space. I wish there are more information provided when we checked in about feeding time for the Manta. Furthermore, we wish they could inform us to move to Sand bar after Gala dinner because we could not get seats easily. Otheers, the restaurants and reception are quite far from our villa so, when it's heaviy rain, it was hard to walk to the restaurants. However, the resort had everything like clinic, pools, bars, restaurants, gym, valley, tennis, football courts. Very impressive. I enjoyed staying there. "

The other side is reef-free, ideal for swimming without having to pay much attention to your surroundings. We saw an abundant amount of sea life from our room: reef sharks, sting rays, turtles, squid and countless fish species. The buffet food was fabulous - they do a great job catering to any preference. We had our wedding photos/video done through the resort and we were blown away by the quality. Also had my hair and makeup done at the spa for one of our photoshoots, which turned out fabulous! It takes about 30 minutes to run around the island, so there's plenty of space to roam. I miss Meeru already!!"

- "Really amazing resort" - "Our first visit to Velassaru was magical so we were gutted when our second visit had to be cancelled due to the pandemic lockdown. We finally managed to book and we're so glad we did because they have managed to keep that level of quality up there. Velassaru is a luxury resort which means its priced as such but your so spoiled with gorgeous beaches, excellent service and a range of different restaurant options to cater for most tastes. And of you don't find what you like, the chefs have no problem going off menu to accommodate your requirements. We're still in love with this place and will be going back. Highly recommended."

- "The resort well deserves its name! It was paradise indeed, as the whole resort is surrounded by white sand beaches, the clearest water I have ever seen and lovely fish. We opted for the all inclusive package and stayed at a water villa. All the facilities were so clean and well maintained. House keeping was impeccable. There were so many activities and excursions to choose from so we never a moment of boredom. As for the food, I can tell that the resort tried to change the menu daily. E.g there was a night with heavy rain & lightning and there is a rather long walk back to our room unsheltered. We tried to ask for transport back to room seeing how their vehicles are able to ride on the platform when ferrying luggages so it should be something doable. However, they refused saying they don't offer buggy service to rooms. While we understand that it is not something that is normally offered, we thought they be more flexible. It was a dangerous walk back, we couldn't hold up our umbrellas too as the wind was too strong. During our stay, we fell sick but was very lucky to meet a very kind and helpful doctor at the medical centre. She helped us to recover quickly so that we can get back to our daily activities. Appreciated the daily activities schedule where we can partake in various free exercises and yoga. Although for some classes, instructor's punctuality can be an issue. Referring to classes not held by the gym or yoga instructor. 1 of us is vegetarian so glad to have quite a variety of options. Though would like to suggest for an improvement in the cooking of fish, it was almost always overcooked."

- "Excellent property and very friendly staff" - "All the staff, food, room were amazing. What I didn't like was the dolphin sunset tour. Instead of giving the dolphins their space and watching from afar all 5 boat captains from the different resorts were chasing them down. Which caused the dolphins to get stressed out. Being prior US Coast Guard we would fine people heavily (5000$ ) if we saw that kind of behavior from boats. Other than that it was amazing. Careful for the jacuzzi tub, 2nd night there I slipped in it and cut my big toe pretty good which kind of put a damper on the rest of our stay there. Besides those two issues it was amazing and took our breath away every day. "
