The hotel does provide repellent near the beach. We stayed in the two-bedroom hillview deluxe room. The room was spacious for my family consisting of two adults and two children. The room does come across as dated and needs some renovation. Some parts of the room (e.g the bathroom countertops) was also not well cleaned so housekeeping needs improvement. "

II will mention them below: - No toothpaste or tooth brush - No wireless connection - No sandals - No clock " - "I can only rate this properly on one aspect, which is the great upgrade we got as we were moved to Taraas resort because of technical issues… This just proves how much they care about their customers " - "having traveled in malaysia extensively, i have to say that in regards to all aspects (room cleanliness and setup, quality of breakfast and dinner buffets, staff friendliness and services, etc.) redang island resort was above average on all accounts. we had a clean and tastefully decorated room with a very nice view over the bay, with a large, comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. ceiling fan, A/C, fridge all worked fine. dinner and breakfast were included in the room price, and they were decidedly better than in most other places i've been to. the hotel operates a regular shuttle bus to kampung jetty (even though it is just a five minute walk away), which is where the ferry arrives and also the starting point of all ocean related activities - thus the shuttle makes getting there hassle free. the resort offers a variety of activities every day, three of which they decided to include in our booking. the staff spoke basic english, and with patience and good will we were able to communicate everything. i don't know if we were just lucky, but every staff member we interacted with went out of their way to help us with questions and arrangements, and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. only drawback: the resort's own ocean access was somewhat disappointing. but with long beach and marine resort island just being a short boat ride away, and the snorkeling trips etc they organise for the guests, we really had everything we had hoped for."
