Don’t let the staff scare you away from an authentic experience. :) In conclusion, this is a property my husband and I would absolutely return & visit yearly, and as a travel advisor- it is most definitely one I’ll recommend to my luxury vip clients. They did offer to make us something else, but didn't offer any suggestions and didn't know how to make a lot of things (like guacamole) and the food wasn't super tasty. The private villas are pretty for sure and good for instagram, but a super far walk from the beach (like 20 minutes). Many of the activities listed were not actually available, weren't on site, and were at an additional paid cost. The private pool had been recently repainted and the white paint would come off on your skin, which was gross. There were a TON of bugs everywhere. The air conditioning was ineffective, and they used very hard water in the shower. Overall just a bad experience. When we tried to raise concerns both while on site and afterwards, we were ignored. Temper your expectations if you decide stay here, and I would recommend you stay at Mnemba Island resort instead if you want actual luxury."

- "Terrible service and not worth the price. The location is beautiful and we had a great time staying in this area but Dreams Bay Bouitique Hotel is in many ways a joke compared to what you pay. Especially the service and partially the rooms (especially the bathrooms) are poor. The staff (apart from one or two members) is super slow, not always friendly and have no ambition. The dining room totally lacks ambiance and the breakfast buffé was more or less empty every morning regardless of when we got their. The main problem is the owner who seems very inexperienced, sometimes were rude, didn’t deliver on promises, hadn’t trainee the straff and didn't step in when there were problems. On the plus side the housekeeping staff were excellent and the beach by the hotel is beautiful. The food in the restaurant is okey but not more than that - and you need to wait 2h+ to get it. Check in was very impersonal and after a full days travel we were required to line up again to fill out an pay the government tax, surly this can be done anytime during the stay. The person who took us to our room gave us no information about the place room wise or resort wise. They talk a good service ethic but as far as I was concerned service was non existent.
