We were very lucky to be able to get a parking space at the pub. The staff were lovely and friendly throughout our stay. The room was huge. Very clean and nicely decorated. Only niggle was it was incredibly warm and no aircon. We mangaged to open a window which i think was paint stuck. The other window wouldn't budge. The bathroom was huge with a big tub, nice toiletries and fluffy towels. We had a double and a single bed. But the room was so big a super king would easily fit and be better for guests. The breakfast was outstanding 10/10 utterly delicious and best ive ever had in a hotel. We will 100% be booking to stay again. "

The ground floor accommodation is extremely stylishly appointed with a large, open-plan living/dining room at its centre. This room features Jacobean-style painted wall panelling as a stunning backdrop. Stone mullion windows, beamed ceilings, oak floors and doors lend a sense of rustic charm to the fabric of the building and yet there is every modern amenity. From a stable-door on one side and French windows on the other, there is access to wooded and landscaped gardens with long-reaching views of the surrounding countryside and a private area to sit and enjoy the location. A bird feeder regularly attracts woodpeckers, jays and other garden visitors and deer and hares can often be spotted in the woods. Last summer we were lucky enough to spend many a summer evening watching a barn owl hunting in the fields in front of the house!
Brian and Carolyn Harrison have used their knowledge of interiors garnered from over 30 years working as freelance journalists on national and international home-interest magazines to refurbish and decorate what is essentially part of their home – albeit completely separate with its own front and back doors. ‘We have tried to instil a real sense of home from home with every possible comfort included.’

The location is second to none for walking enthusiasts with some amazing routes accessed directly from the property up to the nearby heather-clad grouse moors or down to Colden Water – a beautiful woodland with river running through it.

As keen walkers ourselves and being semi-retired with a lively, energetic standard poodle called Ruby as part of the family, we know most of the local footpaths and can’t wait to share them with you.
Cycling is another very popular pastime in the area and the routes can be very challenging, which is why you often see mountain bikers using the area to practise for competitions. If you wish to bring your bikes – there is a locked and alarmed shed in which to store them.

If you just want to explore the area, there are plenty of interesting places to visit. Hebden Bridge itself - a really buzzing and vibrant little town - is only 2 miles away and can be reached by bus twice an hour from the top of our drive. Haworth – with the Bronte parsonage and its cobbled streets and quirky shops – is only 8 miles away and Halifax – location for the recent TV series Gentleman Jack and Last Tango in Halifax is 8.5 miles to the east by car. The larger conurbations of Leeds and Manchester are both accessible in around an hour by car, depending on traffic. There is also a good train service from Hebden to both cities.

Welcome to our 200 year old stone cottage, which has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation fo r up to four guests.
Our place has a cosy lounge and corner dining area, made more authentic with a characterful stone flagged floor. If you like a real fire, you’ll love the log burning stove ensconced in its original stone fireplace. Logs and kindling for the wood burning stove can be purchased locally or we can supply at a cost if given prior notice. To supplement this, there’s gas fired central heating.
We have Netflix installed on the Smart TV.....please note, there is NO LIVE TV but as well as Netflix, you may choose to play one of our DVDs through the TV. We have a chromecast installed on the TV so you can cast from your smartphone/Tablet/Laptop onto the TV.
Our fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen includes a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, refrigerator (no ice box), toaster and kettle. We leave the usual larder items of milk, tea, coffee, salt etc.
Due to COVID we have removed a number of items, we appreciate your understanding.
Two comfortable double bedrooms are situated on the first floor. We are able to provide an additional put up bed for a 5th person for an additional charge.
The bathroom is a double height room, beautifully lit by a skylight window and it has a bath with electric shower.
To the rear, you’ll find a paved yard and to the front a small garden.
The property is three minutes’ walk to Hebden Bridge railway station and five minutes’ walk to the centre of the town with its array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

The points for your consideration are as follows:
• We are set up mainly for adults with two double beds and we don't provide any equipment such as stair gates, cots, baby bath etc.
• The stairs are carpeted but please be advised that the lounge is stone-flagged with a largish carpet square in the middle and all other rooms are finished with varnished or painted floorboards.
• The wood-burning stove can be a hazard for young children when in use - of course you could just run the central heating and wouldn't necessarily have to use this.
• And finally, there are three stone steps from the kitchen out to the back yard.

On a plus point for the children, the cottage is situated across the road from the town park with a safely enclosed kiddies area and skate park for the older ones. On a plus point for everybody, there's Park Life Cafe, which sells lovely food and drinks and possibly ice cream in the warmer months (no promises on that though!)

* The Fold is part of an Edwardian mill owner's house, quietly overlooking the Calder Valley yet really close to the exciting town of Hebden Bridge. The Fold is a beautifully renovated apartment providing everything you need, including free parking and is pet friendly. It's less than half a mile walk into the centre of town so it's nice and quiet but handy too.

* Enjoy Happy Valley from a stay in The Fold, which offers spacious accommodation for up to four people (if two cosily share the sofa bed). The bespoke library shelves house a folding double bed, hence the apartment's name! The central sections of the shelves slide apart to reveal the bed, which easily folds away so you can enjoy the spacious lounge during the rest of your stay.

* The nicest route into Hebden from the Fold is along the well-kept canal path accessed through a gap in the wall opposite Mytholm Lane. This takes you past a lock and bang into the heart of the town by the Trades Club, Post Office and Little Theatre or you can carry on right to the station.

* The Fold sits at the foot of Heptonstall's escarpment, which provides for great (and sometimes challenging) walks including up into the Colden Valley, past the New Delight Inn and out on to the Pennine Way above Slack and Heptonstall.

* The Fold is also at the bottom of 'Mytholm Steeps', which featured in the Tour de Yorkshire and so is popular with cyclists. It has to be said that the Steeps is a challenging hill, even in a car, maybe especially in a car if you meet someone coming the other way! However it is worth going up there if only for the views across the very top of God's Own Country - head out towards Burnley and gasp at the views over the moors. You could even stop for a reviver in the Kettle Drum pub at the end of that moor road, which doe good food and is pet friendly.

* There are numerous pubs, cafes and unique shops in and around Hebden Bridge with always a lot going on. The Fox & Goose is just up the road towards Hebden and unusual by being a community owned pub with a great selection of real ale and wine. Victorian end terraces home located on a quiet cobbled street totally rebuilt and upgraded in 2019/20 to a very high standard. With 4 bedrooms total, two UK king-size bedrooms, one with a ensuite, one single bedroom, and one small double bedroom, with 4 pcs bathroom, a large through kitchen / living room with all appliances including a downstairs toilet. Located a short walk from the town center. The kitchen is fully fitted including induction cook top, dishwasher, and there is also a washer & dryer. The beds are by EMMA and are the "WHICH recommended" memory foam beds ensure our guests comfort, the bathroom / shower room / downstairs toilet are newly installed . All furnishing / fixtures and bedding are new as of 2020. We have made every effort to ensure that the house has all the amenities our guests may require

The location is walking distance from everything in Hebden Bridge: we enjoyed the local coffee shops, bakeries, and pubs all a short walk away. We also walked to the train station and visited York and Halifax. The house was big enough for our family of six and even when friends came round we could comfortably visit. Paul and the lovely Joanne were very helpful and friendly before, during, and after our stay. I hope when we return, we can stay again. Couldn’t ask for a better experience."
