Our stunning home is located on the beach, simply step out the back door and follow the private path to the stunning beach. Stroll along the beach, snorkel, or dive out front and enjoy the many wonders Hideaway has to offer.
Hideaway Bay is located 35mins from Airlie Beach and 30mins from Proserpine. It is best to stock up on groceries before you arrive or Woolworths online will deliver to the area. There is a small general store both at the Hideaway Bay Caravan Park and Dingo Beach pub.
We have ample space for boys with toys on the property.
Boat ramp facilities are available at Dingo Beach (5 mins away)

Cape Gloucester Eco Resort is famous for its Sunday live music sessions and boasts a resort approx. 5 mins away -take your bathers and enjoy a cocktail or 2
Dingo beach hotel is also 5 mins away and usually have live music every Saturday night and a great Sunday lunch.

The beach is one of the best in the area with crystal clear water perfect for snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking or viewing the sea turtles, dolphins and sea life from the white sandy beach. The beach is abundant with sea life and shells for Children to further explore. Bird wildlife fill the trees surrounding the property, with resident Kookaburras perched daily and Kangaroos frequenting the area.

The property boasts 3 bedrooms with a room designated for guests offering a TV/Movie facility and bunk beds suitable for children.
The main bedroom has shutters for direct foreshore views and a king-size bed and ensuite facility which is larger than most hotels. The double-shower head and ample clothes storage space are features which makes this house feel like a complete home even when on holidays.

The vastly open kitchen and lounge area are combined with large wall length sliding doors taking the inside of the house to the outside patio area which is perfect for entertaining and taking in the views. A Weber BBQ is included for use, along with Bluetooth connecting speakers for music to this pool area. All kitchenware and bed linen is supplied.

'IslandView' is a fabulous, large home set on one level with magnificent breezes overlooking Hideaway Bay, the Gloucester Passage and Whitsunday Islands views that you will rave about. Watching the Sunrise over the ocean is a thrill to behold and Sunset from the beach at Monte's Reef Resort or Gloucester Eco Resort is something not to be missed. One of the rare places in Australia where you can see the Sun set over the ocean. Photographers heaven where the bird life will keep you captivated.

The space

Access is via a small set of steps at the front of the house. For wheelchair access the house can be entered through the garage. All bedrooms are large with King, Queen & 2 Long Singles (zipped together they make a King.) The combined lounge/dining area also has a Queen size Sofa Bed for children only. All linen is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cooking equipment, dishwasher (powder satchet's provided) along with wash cloths, detergent, tea towels and rubbish bags. The laundry has a front loader washing machine and a dryer. Laundry powder satchet's are provided. The wall mounted clothes line is outside the laundry door. A 55" Smart TV is fitted to the wall of the lounge room, so if you wish to bring a hard drive or USB you can view your movies or music etc.

Guest access

The entire house is available to guests other than locked owner cupboards and one space in the double garage. At some times of the year the mandarin tree is in full fruit and we would love our guests to take advantage of this by enjoying these flavoursome treats.

Interaction with guests

As much as we would love to greet our guests personally, we live on the Sunshine Coast so are just a phone call away if our guests require advice on anything. We also have a handyman available at Hideaway Bay if needed.

Other things to note

'IslandView' is on tank water so it is appreciated when our guests take this into consideration. 2 large rubbish bins are provided in the garage for items from the kitchen bin. These can be emptied at the Dingo Beach Refuse Tip approximately half way on the right to Dingo Beach. All rubbish is to be removed from the premises prior to vacating.

The roomy self-contained house is fully equipped, with crockery, cutlery, utensils pots, frying pan etc. NOTE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS. AND BATH MATS. Coverlets provided. The house has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge/dining and outdoor area with outdoor furniture, gas & wood BBQ.

If you are bringing pets please keep on a leach. Dogs are not permitted in the house. They are to remain outside at all times. There is ample under cover shelter on the back porch . Please consider this before bringing pets that are accustomed to being inside.

Access to Sunset Beach is through private entry gate at the end of Cape Gloucester Ave. At the next locked gate there is a key for the 2nd gate in a lockbox. Stay on the road until you reach Sunset Beach.

The road is suitable for all vehicles although after heavy rain may become slippery or soft in places.

Boats can be launched from the beach with 4 wheel drive.

There are two resorts, Montes and Cape Gloucester just a short drive or a short ride in your boat where you can enjoy resort-style refreshments and meals.
The nearest shop is Dingo Beach. About 5 km. Nearest towns, Proserpine or Airlie Beach approx 50km.

Boat ramp access: At Sinclair Bay, we have a sandy boat ramp suitable for boats up to 6.5m. For easy launching and retrieval, plan around tides of 3m or higher. At low tide the water recedes a long way, and you don’t want to be waiting until 2am for enough water to bring your boat back in!

Resident dog: We do have an on-site Bullmastiff named Hokey. She’s a gentle giant who mostly snoozes and sniffs around. Completely harmless, but don’t be surprised if she comes to say g’day.

Flame Trees is a modern beachfront home in the tranquil spot of Hydeaway/Hideaway Bay, the Whitsundays, Queensland.

The home is fortunate enough to have direct access to Whitsunday beachfront, with some glimpses of the ocean through the trees on Crown Land.

The beautiful home is spacious and well designed for the tropics. The large stacker doors open up from the living area to the private deck outside which is undercover, over looking the stunning luxurious concrete pool. There is a BBQ and bar fridge located on the deck for your use and convenience.

The kitchen is well appointed with everything accessible at hands reach. It has a breakfast bar, dishwasher, gas cooking, oven with the essentials for you. The living area and all bedrooms are fitted with air conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort.

Bedroom 1 has a king bed, ensuite and walk in robe with a pool view. Down the hallway is the other bedroom, also with a pool view and a queen bed. The bathroom is along the hallway and has a separate toilet. The laundry is downstairs and available for your use, which is located in front of the carport parking area.

Walk over our bridge, through the trees on Crown Land to the beach, sit with a morning coffee or of a late afternoon with a beer or glass of wine in hand. If you take a stroll along the beach you may be able to spot turtles, fish or a ray in the ocean. The colour of the ocean is just amazing & it's perfect for boating, fishing, kayaking & snorkelling.

Approximately 10 minutes drive north from the house, you will come to two resorts Cape Gloucester Resort is the main one and Montes Reef Resort. We recommend you check their websites for their opening times. Cape Gloucester is renowned for their cocktails, food, atmosphere and picturesque sunsets. Nearby, Dingo Beach Pub is great for a social drink, pub meal and live music. There is a small convenience store at both Hydeaway Bay Caravan Park and Dingo Beach Store. So fly into Proserpine Airport, hire a car and be on your way to the beautiful hidden location of Hydeaway/Hideaway Bay. With Airlie Beach approximately a 40 minute drive away, you can easily access the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef for day trips and other fun activities. Be sure to visit one of the worlds best beaches whilst in the Whitsundays - Whitehaven Beach.

The house was designed by a renowned tropical architect, and sits on 5 acres of secluded bushland with direct NE beach frontage. There is great fishing and snorkelling on the fringing reef just offshore, which can also be explored by reef-walking at low tide.

The design of the house makes full advantage of the balmy Whitsundays weather with wraparound balconies, and bi-folding doors capturing ocean breezes. 2 lounges, a generous kitchen and 2 dining areas mean there are plenty of communal spaces. The gazebo is perfect for alfresco dining, and there is use of a BBQ, or the fire-pit for the more adventurous.

The house sleeps 6 people comfortably in 3 air-conditioned king bedrooms with ensuites. Upstairs, the luxurious master bedroom retreats has an ensuite, private balcony, king-size bed and spectacular ocean views. The second master also has a private balcony, king-size bed, great views and exclusive use of a bathroom. Downstairs, another ocean facing king-sized room and ensuite bathroom.

The natural setting means kangaroos, kookaburras and native parrots are daily visitors. In the Bay dolphins, turtles, sand rays are frequently spotted, and the reef teams with colourful fish and coral.

Montes, Eco resort and Dingo beach pub are a short drive away if you fancy a meal out. Slightly further afield the bustling hub of Airlie Beach is only 40 mins away; your gate way to adventure sports and Barrier reef activities.
