- "Nearly to the beach. Confortable place" - "Vegasur cabanas are a great spot near La Serena's beach. Although the beach itself is not fantastic, La Serena is still a good seaside destination. Many restaurants nearby offer great food (seafood and meats alike), but the street where Vegasur is located is not fully tarred and was a huge mess after heavy rain overnight. Breakfast is okay, nothing to rave about. Staff are very helpful: kids can play table tennis and soccer for free, and bikes are available for a good ride along the beach to Coquimbo. A side trip to Vicuna on the Elqui Valley is highly advisable if driving."

- "This property is centrally located, with an easy 5 minute walk to the Plaza de Aramas of Las Serena. We arrived very late and without a reservation; however, we were treated well and got 2 nice rooms as requested. The underground locked parking was also quickly opened for us to speed the check in process. Very nice free and complete breakfast buffet, with no add-on items at extra cost. The only fault were the tub/shower combos in both rooms. The glass partition for the shower is not large enough, and when using the shower water goes all over the floor. The front desk was very quick to respond though, cleaning the floors and providing all new towels. "
