Montserrat Breezes is a beautifully appointed five bedroom, five and a half bath private Villa located high in the Woodlands section of Montserrat. Lovingly and carefully constructed by one of America's wealthiest families and updated by it's present owners, Montserrat Breezes boasts over 6000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living spaces, with breathtaking views (especially at Sunset) of the Caribbean Sea from virtually all living areas. Three king suites (all with king beds) feature spacious rooms with Plantation Shutters, en-suite baths and private verandas. Two lower suites include one king bedroom and an adjoining twin bedroom. Both of these bedrooms offer open ocean views, en-suite baths, and a shared covered veranda. The door between these bedrooms can be locked for privacy or opened for families with children.

This villa was designed to maximize the ocean views from all rooms with large 'disappearing' glass and screen panels in each room. In addition, the open air dining and family rooms feature large Plantation Shutters on the rear wall, which open to view the private courtyard and manicured garden. - "Stayed in May 2019. From the moment we entered this house, we loved it! It is so light and spacious, with leafy trees all around, and a happy summery atmosphere. For some reason, I could imagine Dean Martin on the porch, sipping cocktails in the 1950’s! The pool is 2 steps from your bedroom, and the verandah looks directly onto the sunset, with a stunning display every night (and colourful friendly iguanas to share it with!). The kitchen is well-stocked and there are lots of interesting books to read, with even a helpful guide to the local birds. There are extra touches too, such as snorkelling equipment laid on. It all feels easy, relaxed and immersed in nature. The beach is just down the road - nobody on it at all - and there are enough interesting things to do. Montserrat Island Tours, with Sun, is an absolute must, and try to see the sweeping view of the volcano and its path, from Garibaldi Hill too. Yvette (the housekeeper) and Mr Gage from the car-hire looked after us well. Montserrat is a charming, laid-back, somehow old-fashioned and sweet island - and Crow’s Nest is the perfect house to go with it. "

We had a lovely week of family time and friends visiting. So much room to entertain or to find a quiet spot amid the crowd. The gazebo room (complete with large flat screen TV, fridge, dining table and sitting area) was a great place for the kids/teens to hang out while adults visited in the main house and veranda. Amazing views of sea and volcano! Amazing kitchen! for those that do love to cook, even on vacation! Silk Cotton Villa is a lovely, secluded, private villa located in the desirable and sought after area of Woodlands, Montserrat. The property was built in 1991 and has approximately 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. The property was designed to provide breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea from virtually all its rooms. The villa sits on 1.3 acres of beautifully landscaped lawn and garden, featuring flowering plants and towering palm trees. In season, trees on the property produce avocados, grapefruit, orange, lime, mango, cherry,Guava,coconut, star fruit and bananas. The private road accommodates only three villas, ensuring privacy and tranquility. At almost all times of the year, the constant and cooling trade winds contribute to the island's idyllic climate.

On the upper level, there is a 32' by 15' swimming pool surrounded by a large deck from which to take in gorgeous sunsets while sipping a cool drink. Adjacent to the pool is an outdoor gallery which spans the length of the house and offers outdoor dining as well as reading books at each end. On this level are the living room, dining room, kitchen, two en-suite bedrooms and a powder room.

The terrace has a breathtaking view of Isles Bay beach and Foxes Bay beach in the distance. It also provides a panoramic ocean view including sunsets every night. The kitchen is steps away and is very well equipped. The villa has three ensuite bedrooms arranged separately for privacy. In addition to the wonderful terrace, the villa has a lookout deck at the cliff edge. This a popular spot for sunsets, sundowners and watching the pelicans. I would stay again!" - "We thoroughly enjoyed four wonderful weeks in the spacious villa, our first 2023 International trip. It made an excellent base for our exploration of Montserrat, enabling us to walk some of the many nature trails, watch the wildlife and see the sites, including the volcano and the devastation of Plymouth. We swam daily, visiting most of the beaches on the Caribbean Sea side. A car is essential since the villa is about half way between the two shopping areas of Salem and the Island’s North end. The property is located at the edge of a fairly exclusive area called Palm Loop. Its driveway is off a dead-end road rising sharply to the parking area at the front of the second level of the building, which is built into the hillside. A gate at the front of the property opens out onto the island’s main road. The traffic is light to non-existent during the night. The villa occupies the entire second level of the building. It comprises spacious, airy rooms with high ceilings. The master bedroom with ensuite is at one end, while the second bedroom and main bathroom are at the other. The living room and kitchen are in the middle with doors out both sides, one to the parking area, the other to the full-length veranda. The veranda, which contains the main eating area, faces West, looking out over a beautiful vista of trees and the Caribbean Sea, enabling the delightful sunsets to be watched every evening. The kitchen is sparsely supplied with utensils and cooking implements that we supplemented with locally purchased items to meet our simple dietary and culinary habits. Hot water is readily available in the main bathroom, not so much in the ensuite bathtub shower. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were inoperative, but backed up with somewhat noisier floor stand fans that could be used to mask the extraneous nighttime noises. A number of fittings in the bathrooms require repair or replacement. The expected hens and cockerels, the occasional goat and various other sounds of nature are, of course present. In addition, almost every house has at least one dog, most of which are poorly trained and restrained. This leads to intervals of continuous barking for extended periods anytime day or night. The lower level of the building is undergoing a (somewhat noisy) period of construction that will result in the addition of three smaller apartments. When rented, this will seriously affect the single-family nature of the villa."

Oasis is a beautiful secluded caribbean villa, built in a lush green garden in woodlands, Montserrat. Its a two bedroom villa with two bathrooms. Master suite has an ensuite and kitchennet, laundry room, kitchen, dining room, living room, large porch overlooking the ocean, garden and a forty foot swimming pool. Oasis is also approximately a ten minute walk to the beautiful, picture perfect and secluded woodlands beach.

- "The property is larger than we realised and would be ideal for two couples, or a family. We had lots of space,a choice of bedrooms and a bathroom each! The kitchen is nicely equipped with good quality appliances. On the down side, the TV is American rubbish, the pool could do with a really good clean, and it appears that renovations are in progress. Some really dodgy looking wiring, sockets hanging off walls, exposed wires. Both bathrooms are well below the standard I would expect in a property like this, and need considerable smartening up. The villa is also right next to a main road, although you can’t see it at all, and traffic noise is noticeable at certain times of the day. The island has its fair share of ‘boy racers’!"

- "Neat, tidy 2-bedroom apt, in lower level of house in which owner occupies top floor. I visited Montserrat to explore the northern half of the island, run trails, and experience living with the local population. Since I'm an avid runner and run typically 2-4 hours daily during adventure traveling did not rent a car. I chose a location close to the airport, to allow exploring the west, north and east parts from this apt. The owners (Sheldon, Janeil, Lyandra) grow a variety of tropical fruits and vegetables in their back yard which they're happy to discuss and share. However, there is no back yard for children to romp around in, so that families with children will need to rent a car to explore other areas. The neighborhood, like many locations in the Caribbean, have multiple chickens that create a lively atmosphere. Several chained dogs in the yards surrounding the apt occasionally make a bit of noise, but I always slept well at night. Recommend this apt for adventure travelers. Note that there is no warm water in kitchen, but there is warm water in bathroom for showering. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, oven with gas range, and hot water electric pot for coffee, etc. I found the owners very pleasant and informative ... they made sure that I was well taken care of. Sheldon sold me some wahoo fish sections that I cooked, and Janeil made a delicious meal for me, of pumpkin rice and fish."

- "Montserrat is not for everyone. It is remote and typical Caribean amenities are less available. The island runs almost strictly on a cash economy and there is only 1 bank machine. We (adult couple and 2 teens) booked a stay here for 4 days and want nothing but to come back, hopefully to Julian's place. Communication ahead of time was excellent with Julian's on island contact Susan. I did not know but a vehicle is necessary so she arranged one last minute. The house is one of a few on a steep hill and former plantation. Each home far enough away from each other you dont see your neighbours. As with all of Montserrat, there are chickens and lizards everywhere. Our house was perfect. Great views of the sea, we sat and watch the volcano vent from the patio in the early evening The kitchen is small but not too small. The beds are very nice. But the best part was the introduction to Winston, on island for 50 years, former deputy police chief, now a business man who picked us up from the ferry, gave us advice on where to go, and took us on a tour of Plymouth. All worth while. I highly recommend this place."

Could use a better equipped kitchen - coffee maker, toaster, better pans for cooking. Hosts should consider making recommendations for a good supermarket, more than 3 restaurants and directions to beaches, contact info for restaurants. Most on the island have not loaded their location into mapsme. Very grateful People's place restaurant was so close. Spent a lot of time there eating delicious food and meeting wonderful people."

- "Staying at adams place was the ultimate Monserrat experience! We enjoyed having the entire villa to ourselves, it was perfect for our romantic getaway but there was plenty of room to bring the whole family next time! The property manager, Kristina, was so kind and attentive to all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed and having Toni as our private chef for the day was unbeatable! Her food is amazing! We watched the sunset from the saltwater pool every evening and the beach was pretty close too! the only bad part was having to leave at the end of our vacation.
