The neighborhood is run down; I felt safe walking but I would recommend walking with someone or talking an Uber. The multiple Uber drivers we took didn’t have a problem coming to pick us up or drop off even late at night, it was a $3 Uber from Casco Viejo. The apartment is 5 min walking to Casco Viejo so very close. Some kind of alarm started going off in the building and continued for 2 days straight, even after I sent a message, never got a reply back. It was a bit annoying even up to the third floor. If you are a seasoned traveler you’ll like this hidden gem for all it offers at its price point, you can always Uber, I would stay again. I would recommend this property for adults only. "
