- Twice a day the mosquitos can get quite intense. Sunrise and sunsets are what we call mosquito power hours. Use repellent and the fan directed on you when sitting on the balconies at that time.
- During Fullmoon, the roads get crazy busy which is the only time you hear a lot of traffic passing by.
- We are in the tropics and even though the house is fully concrete built you possibly encounter a gecko or an insect.
- On the island, we rely on power generated by Koh Samui. To keep the grid safe island wide. Please only use the air conditioning when you are at home.

The area

5 minutes by scooter from Coconut Lane Villas you will find Wok Tum (perfect for watching the sunset) and Srithanu village with its restaurants, bars, a 7 eleven, markets (fruit and vegetables), and a beach.

There is a drum jam session on the beach at Srithanu every Sunday from 6 p.m.

Further up the west coast, you will discover magnificent beaches, all equally beautiful, including Haad Son, Haad Chao Pao, Haad Yao, Haad Salad, and Koh Maa. Then you get to Chaloklum, the fishing village.

From Chaloklum, don't hesitate to take a longtail (fishing boat) to reach some of the beaches that are less accessible by road, like Bottle Beach or Thong Nai Pan.
