The Adagio villa is situated in the charming town of Biei, Hokkaido, known for its picturesque landscape of gently rolling hills and boundless fields. The villa is located on Panorama road, which is a famed scenic road. Nearby attractions includes Patchwork road, Shinei-no-Oka Observatory Park, Bibaushi elementary school, Shikisai-no-oka, Takushinkan, Chiyoda no Oka Observation Deck, Sanai no Oka Observatory Park, Biei Senka, Farm Tomita, and so on.

The space
The Adagio villa consists of 5 villa cottages designed by renowned Japanese architect, Kenta Sano, whose work was featured in the designboom magazine. Like his other work, the minimalistic style and meticulous choice of material blur the border between nature and architecture. The concrete foundation and wooden top structure mimic the forest environment surrounding the cottages. It allows whomever lives in the cottage to be at one with nature and relief the stress from our modern lifestyles.
