- "A wonderful property to stay, we were upgraded to the presidential suite which was large with two bathrooms. Very nice old world charm. The food was a bit of a disappointment. Breakfast and service was not up to the standards of the room and cost. Breakfast was included but was limited and was served cold though the plate was very hot? We had dinner one evening it was expensive and the vegetables were cold but the meat was warm and delicious. We were the only guest and the service was slow and they struggled with making an Iris coffee after dinner. It is a fantastic location and Hazelwood is only few miles away filled with great and fun restaurants. It has been a wonderful experience and a welcome change from the chain hotels we will definitely return. "

The space
Our location is quiet. The house is cradled amongst tall trees making it feel secluded. There is a lot of bird life, if you are lucky you could see a owl or a bird of prey Fly past. Our outside patio is a spacious area with a table and chairs to relax and unwind. This is overlooking a beautiful scenery of the pool, palms and overlooking the golf course across the road.
The room is on the second floor with the view of the outside area.
The room is called ‘top story’ because it should make the headlines and be posted on front page of every newspaper.

The kitchen and the lounge areas are for staff only.
Guests are to enter and exit using the front door.

Welcome to our tranquil retreat, nestled on a spacious property. You'll be staying in a comfortable extension of the main house, thoughtfully designed for our guests. Your room features a private entrance, offering both privacy and the chance to interact with other guests if you wish.

Please note: While there’s no TV in the rooms, we provide a 100 Mbps unlimited fiber line for seamless streaming or downloading.

The main house has a larger living room with a fireplace and a dining area, should you want to share a meal with other guests. The shared living room is available until 9 pm daily, perfect for unwinding before bed.

A quiet guest house under the shade of a pecan nut tree. Come home to a comfortable, welcoming space, close to the buzzing and lively Melville, with its many restaurants and places of interest. Wooden floors, granite surfaces and a warm, welcoming bed create a homely charm. We have solar power and borehole water for your uninterrupted convenience.

The space
There is a private walkway up past the side of our house, leading to the cottage. Entrance to the property is usually through the automated exterior garage door although there is also a pedestrian gate. We have parking space for one guest car only.

The whole cottage is at your disposal as well as the little garden with table and chairs, under the pecan nut tree.

Other things to note
There is a Nespresso Coffee machine available in the cottage, as well as a kettle and toaster. There’s a full size fridge with freezer. The four-plate stove is induction and there is a convection/microwave oven. The television is in the bedroom for your viewing comfort. Linen is changed weekly and a weekly cleaning service is offered at no extra charge. Our cleaning lady will be happy to do laundry for you.
We have CCTV cameras on the property for security purposes, but nothing facing the cottage. There is a solar-powered inverter to provide constant power and pure water is supplied from the borehole. WiFi is fibre- reliable and fast. If you are lucky, you may be visited by Falafel, the resident fat, black cat, but he mostly stays away from the cottage.
