However... this is the first time we've waited for several hrs (or a whole day) for a response from a host. Again, it's well maintained & the guide so comprehensive, that it was NOT a big problem, but... there's something comforting about a responsive host on the 1st days in a new place. So we didn't get that extra welcoming comfort #4 HOME is lovely with the main room for parents and lots of extra room if kids come to visit. Bathroom is spacious, water flow & temperature great (see guide to cut on supply). Kitchen is great for cooking, prepping, full fridge, and an adjacent dining table. There's a nice living room/entertainment area between the bedroom and dining area, as well as lovely spaces to relax in front and behind the cottage #5 No late check out option, but AT CHECK OUT time we were greeted by the house cleaner, Sandra, who was gracious & asked how our stay was. The enchanting Sandy Bay Cottage is cozily nestled at the end of a short beach road in the historic Arnos Vale town of Plymouth, situated on the north-western coast of Tobago, embraced by the Caribbean Sea. Just 15 minutes’ drive from the Arthur Napoleon Robinson airport (Crown Point), this lovely and recently renovated beachfront cottage is great for a family get-a-way or a romantic retreat where you will experience the “real Tobago”. The entire cottage is rented all together and sleeps maximum 8 persons. If you are seeking rest, relaxation, being serenaded by the birds just steps away from the beach, then this is the place to be.
The shallow village beach and bay outside the property grounds (in front of the property fence) at the end of the beach road is good for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, is never crowded and is used mostly by villagers in the area. The bay is protected by a short seawall, sometimes not even visible depending on the season and time of year (usually fully and naturally covered by sand around Easter time, April/May for example), and there is good county-provided drainage outside the property to ensure no flooding or impacts from high tides, etc. There are no services on the beach (toilets, bar, etc). The county is responsible for periodic cleanup of the area, and even locals partake in beach and drainage cleanup activities from time to time if needed, so please be kind to the environment there and feel free to join in as well. For beaches with services, there are places like Mt Irvine Beach (great for surfing, you can rent surfboards there), Store Bay, Pigeon Point, just 5 -15 minutes away so you can plan quick excursions.
The entire cottage and grounds (upstairs/downstairs) is rented altogether for up to eight persons maximum. Upstairs has a full kitchen with modern appliances, living and dining room overlooking the beach, all open plan. There are 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. One bedroom opens out onto the veranda for a spectacular view of the gorgeous Caribbean Sea. There is also an open-air sleeping loft upstairs with a double bed over the living room as well. The open plan living room opens onto a spacious veranda stretching the width of the cottage, with a spectacular close-up view of the Caribbean Sea and the sound of jovial birds frolicking around in the yard. The third bedroom is downstairs: an air-conditioned 1 bedroom unit including a mini-kitchen and own bathroom, and a spacious patio looking onto the front yard and beach.
The fenced yard facing the beach is very spacious, with fruit trees, flowers, shrubs and good parking. There is even an enclosed outdoor shower in the yard where you can wash off the salt and sand after an invigorating dip in the sea.
A supermarket, ATM, bank, post office, hardware & fishing tackle store, gas station are all conveniently located within walking distance from the cottage, including some of Plymouth's and Tobago's historical sites (Mystery Tomb, St James Fort, Courland Monument).
Fiber Internet/Wifi is included. The property is also equipped with a modern alarm ( with guard response in the event of an alarm) and outdoor security cameras for added security, as well as burglar proofing of windows and entrance/exit areas.

Charlotteville (within the UNESCO biosphere reserve) is approximately 1.2hrs from the Tobago Airport, and off the beaten path. It is the most picturesque of villages in Tobago. It is isolated by the mountains to the south and a narrow winding road to the west, the quaint village nestles on steep cliffs above the deep blue Man O’ War Bay. The village remains unspoiled and pristine with little development. About a 10-minute walk from Bella Vista, there are beach facilities and a couple restaurants offering local cuisines. About a 15-minute hike from the village, is the Pirate’s Bay, a secluded and beautiful bay!

Bella Vista cottage overlooks the village, rainforest and Caribbean Sea. It is situated close enough to experience village life but tucked away to enjoy solitude and the most breath-taking views of the ocean, village, and rainforest! Beautiful beaches are just a 5-10 min walk away.

Bella Vista is a cozy one bedroom, one-bathroom wooden cottage perched on a steep hillside. The cottage sits on an acre of lush garden amidst tropical flowers, and fruit trees. The location is ideal for bird watching - motmot, bananaquits, parrots, tanagiers, corn birds, hummingbirds, cocricos (Tobago's national bird) and others. Place a banana on the feeder and hang out on the deck for the show!

The kitchen features a full-size fridge freezer, microwave, full gas cooker with oven, electric kettle, electric coffee maker and toaster. The kitchen, living room, dining and bedroom area all open onto the large deck. Mosquito net is provided.

If you chose to be car-free for all/most of your stay, affordable public transportation (buses and taxis) can be accessed in the village opposite the gas station. They can take you anywhere en route to Scarborough. You can also hire a driver at a very reasonable rate to take you around. Car rentals can be found online or at the Tobago airport.

From the hammock, listen to the waves, or watch the pelicans play in the Caribbean Sea. Stroll through the village, pick up fresh produce / seafood from vendors, and enjoy a freshly picked coconut! Hike or take a boat to Pirate’s Bay to swim/snorkel in the crystal-clear waters. Paradise! In the evenings, unwind on the deck with your favourite beverage.

Potential for noise: Charlotteville is a real Caribbean village, not touristy and certainly not as quiet as a resort. Due to the elevated location of the cottage and Amphitheatre shaped hills sounds will travel. Churches, music lovers, workers, occasional village fests, dogs, birds etch can be audible during days and nights.

Bella Vista is a nature lovers’ haven - if this is not your thing, please look into accommodation elsewhere.

Our aim is to reduce the amount of garbage, especially plastics used on site. Pack a reusable water bottle, shopping bag, reuse plastic shopping bags etc.

Hibiscus Heights is Ranked #3 of 97 in Tobago on trip advisor - A cozy cottage with enclosed deck, and its own drive up parking, located by the gates of the main villa and apartments. Ideal for those looking for a little privacy but within steps to the village, restaurants, bars and beach. Offering a queen bed and a single day bed. Outside on the deck is a half covered half open area to relax and dine 'alfresco'. The deck is surrounded by palms and banana plants, but still affords a sea view and view of the village.

The focal feature of the living room is a twelve foot long window seat overlooking the gardens and the sea beyond. Behind the kitchen is a shade garden for barbequing or just 'liming'. The wood house is a beautiful, secluded, open-plan cottage with spectacular sea views, a natural setting in a reclaimed woodland, and close proximity to Englishman’s Bay, which has been voted as one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The cottage sits on over 3 acres of land that was a bamboo thicket until the 1990’s when local naturalist, Renson Jack, began working with the owners to eradicate the bamboo and replace it with native plants, fruits, and flowers to attract wildlife. The result is a reclaimed natural woodland environment attracting a large variety of wildlife. Walk the restored grounds on the terraced hillside, explore the larger Englishman’s Bay Estate, or visit trails in the nearby rainforest preserve. Ideal for birders or naturalists interested in exploring the Tobago en-vironment. This house was designed for indoor-outdoor living and can be fully opened to allow the tropical breeze to pass through. This also means the house may not be for everyone because wildlife (invertebrate and vertebrate) may find their way into the house.
The cottage is at the end of a private road, so is very private. Enjoy spectacular sunsets on the terrace, lounge in the private pool, or enjoy the grounds without seeing another person. Alternatively, you can travel a short distance to the nearby small village of Castara for groceries or eat in restaurants with local cuisine. And, of course, there are the nearby beaches. Secluded, private, tranquil, in the canopy of the Northern ridge rainforest with a to die for view of the ocean. It is just sheer bliss! I can watch the sunrise and the moon set from the pool for an eternity! Host and staff are super friendly and helpful! We recommend planning and buying groceries before arrival because there are only mini markets nearby and not so many restaurants either. It's also nice to be able to just stay at the cottage. In this regard the kitchen has all the pots and pans you need for cooking and eating but the items are basic and some slighly outdated. Only salt was available in terms of pantry staples. We are tall and for a perfect night sleep would have preferred bigger/more pillows and a bigger bed than the queen bed. There wasn't extra bedding readily available for the murphy bed downstairs."

Mango Bottom is a beautiful recently built naturally ventilated timber frame home with two bedrooms plus two sofa beds. The loft bedroom has stunning sea views all day and breathtaking sunsets all from your own private balcony at night. The second room, The Mountain Bedroom overlooks the lush trees and vegetation on mountainside surrounding Castara. A large living room with WiFi, fan, TV and two sofas which is open plan to the spacious well equip kitchen.
Ideally suited for two couples but can be expanded to six people if the sofa beds are used in the living room area. Kitchen has a large 5 burner stove/oven a microwave, juicer/blender, slow cooker and large fridge freezer. Spacious wash/shower room of course with hot water and exclusive use of you own twin tub washer. New soft furnishings through out .
The property can be accessed to the rear by car and three steps onto the gallery. Parking available but shared with neighbours. To the front of the property 103 steps drop you into the heart of the village and from there another 75 metres sees your toes in the ocean.

One love cottage Tobago is located in Whim, Western and the hilly side of Tobago. The cottage comprises two apartments. It is built by the owners. The windows are built in a shatter style and create a breezy atmosphere.The apartment will accommodate max 4 persons. The upstairs apartment has two bedrooms with two full size beds, fans and mosquito nets over the beds. The porch is facing the village. You may relax in a hammock and have a great view over looking Back Hill village and garden
Parking is possible in our garage.
The cottage has also downstairs studio apartment which you can rent separately . This apartment is also self catering with a full size bed, ac, kitchenette and bathroom.with hot and cold water . In the studio apartment we can accommodate max 2 persons.
We live in a separate house in the same yard. So we are available to assist you most of the time.
The distance to the nearest beach Turtle Beach, Grafton Beach and Mt Irvine Beach is about 10 min. To Scarborough and the ferry terminal is 10 min drive and to the airport about 30 min .
In our village is a Mini Mart just across the road .
. We also offer airport transfers and tours by special.agreements and fees according your demand.
The Whim is very local village on.the hills . It is a bit remote from the airport, night clubs, restaurants and beaches. We recommend our guests to.have a private car or rental car in use. If you need a taxi service we can also arrange this and assist you renting a car.. The regular taxi service to Scarborough is mostly available in morning or evening hours .If you stay longer more than 7 days or one month we will do a special fee. we will make sure you have a fantastic holiday.
