Tropikist features lush greenery, with trees teeming with thousands of birds, creating a symphony of beautiful sounds. The combination of the waves and the birds produced an unbelievably soothing soundtrack to our stay. The food was delightful. It wasn't your typical all-inclusive salad bar; while the selection was more petite, everything was fresh and flavorful, including unique offerings like soups and homemade bread. There were a few cabanas on the beach, where we spent some time. Although the beach was small, it was adequate. My wife didn't enjoy it much due to the waves, so we visited a public beach just a seven-minute walk away. There, we found shops and places renting chairs and beach umbrellas. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, Tropikist is the perfect choice."

And, when I inquired about Spa services, it also turned out to be a cash transaction because it was separate from the resort. All in all, we enjoyed the warmth of the Mt. The apartment has a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea & a small private patio where we could have coffee and read in the mornings. The owner of the property, Glory, is such a delightful person and was always eager to help. Upon my request, she gave me a hair dryer to use during my stay. She also helped connect me to a car rental agency. The house is on a hill and you are just a short 10 minute walk to the beach from the property. We walked down to the beach daily. The area around the guesthouse (Pleasant Prospect, Black Rock) is pretty quiet, but there are a couple of local restaurants (Fish Pot, Legger's), bars (Moon over Water, Edge of the Reef), a coffee shop/fast food pizza, a small store, and an ATM. A bit further up the road is a fancy restaurant right on the beach called Waves. We had dinner there one night to splurge. A bit further down the road in the opposite direction is Irvine Bay Beach and there are a few more places to eat in that area. Wifi connection was good in our room and we had cable and air conditioning. You wake up to the sound of local roosters. This is a great place to stay if you're looking for some down time to chill, not wanting to be in the mix of a huge crowd, want to be able to make your own meals, and hang out on your balcony for hours reading and watching the ocean. My place is close to Grafton Beach and Mt Irvine Beach and surf spot are both less than 10 minutes walk. The village centre is just over the road with shops, bars, restaurants, ATM and street food.. Cottage Mango is ideal for guest looking for an inexpensive room yet having a beautiful sea view and the majestic sunset while surrounded by mango trees and other vegetation. Access to room from the private car park only take a few up. Access to the host Taylors is available most of the day as they live on the property. Auto rental is also available on the compound fron the highly rated Taylors Auto Rentals. The clay oven baking at the back of Cascreole, the Wednesday night drumming/limbo at the Boat House Restaurant, the Thursday nigh burn fire at Cascreole are all done by the Taylor's family. This exciting holiday awaits you.

Miller's Guesthouse is located in a tranquil setting in Buccoo overlooking the bay and white sandy beach.
We have budget-friendly, self-catering apartments, dorm beds, single, double and triple rooms to accommodate single travelers, couples, groups and families. We also have an alfresco restaurant onsite with views across the Caribbean sea.

All our rooms have air conditioning, cable TV and free WiFi. Each room/apartment has an en suite shower room with toilet, washbasin and shower.

Tadpoles is a studio apartment with a separate bathroom with a heated shower. All pots & pans are provided but you need to source all your own foodstuffs including condiments. There is an outside covered verandah with garden furniture.
