- "Irma was the best!!! Since my wife and I got there she made us feel so comfortable. It's not a 5 star hotel but the attention to ensure that you're comfortable beats any 5 star hotel. We visited in late October so did not experience the mosquitos from other reviews. What we did experience was the view and the sound of the water flowing in the river. Some people pay to have this sound when falling asleep. The breakfast, the coffee, the assistance on where to go eat, the convenience, even giving us a poncho in case it rain during our Machu Pichu adventure and if we didn't need it just bring it back (no charge). These all made the staying at La Payacha and incredible experience. Thanks again Irma. "

They did let us store our luggage in a secure area while we were in MP. However, next time I would probably just spend a few more dollars on a nicer property."

- "For starters the hotel there was booked with hotels.com. What’s nonexistent the previous owner of Machu Picchu boutique had moved to a different location and the pictures on the webpage for hotels.com are completely incorrect. The address for the hotel belongs to a different hotel at the time did not have any vacancies so me and my dad who is 75 were left out until 11 o’clock at night looking for a place to sleep. I hope someone reads this and makes the appropriate adjustments change or corrections so that no one goes through this again hotels.com offer me a refund and a $50 credit. It wasn’t enough I believe for the humongous blunder cause by a lack of caring for their customers."

So hot and humid and was a shared room but only the room Could be locked, no locker or anything to out the important stuff since it’s shared. I bailed on the second night and went back to cusco."

There was mold all over our hotel walls, a big thick patch of white paint slapped on the wall with mold growing through it. We spent 10 minutes in the room and had to leave because we felt sick.
