- "Awesome quiet place for my children and I. Walking distance to everywhere! Love it! " - "They actually gave away our room at the Albergue Verde and had the driver take us to the Alpackers instead. That's all fine, except we didn't know this. So picture this: our first time in a new city, it's 1 am. Our driver drops us off at what we think is the wrong hotel, we're worried this hotel won't have a room for us (plus the other place will expect payment even if we don't show), there's four of us, including a child, each of us has a 40 lb piece of luggage to carry, we have no map, and no idea how to get to the right hotel. So before he can leave, we're telling him this isn't right and loading our luggage back in his van. He's very confused (but nice). I give him a copy of the confirmation paperwork I printed out before leaving home and ask him to take us to the hotel on it, which he does. He drives us to the Albergue Verde, which is completely full and the lady at the front desk is also confused. She pulls out a binder, makes a phone call and finally figures out what happened then explains it to us and our driver. We wound up right back where the driver first thought we belonged. We felt bad for him, because he insisted on unloading the luggage each time (3 times total), and it added at least 30 minutes to his already long night of driving around. Once we were at the right place (and knew it), the check in was easy, the front desk people were very nice. It was an overall good experience."
