- "Good location close to Naha bus station, Asahibashi station and close to the airport. It’s a bit far to travel further north. Clean and good facilities! There is only one private shower for women, and it is in a different floor than the dorm which is a bit unpractical. The washing machine/combined dryer didn’t manage to dry my clothes so it got a bit expensive in the end to get everything semi dry. The cabin got quite hot/humid during the night even though the aircon was on, so I got to borrow a fan which helped a bit. "

- "Convenient and clean stay" - "Considering the price point and location, our stay was excellent. Having read previous reviews I was scared of lack of cleanliness. However, it is not very dirty. We found no bed bugs in our beds and our room was well-kept and cleaned before we arrived. Since it is a hostel (and not a resort), we had no housekeeping and had to share bathrooms but we knew this before booking our stay. The shower for women specifically is actually quite nice with provided shampoo and body wash. Unfortunately there is only a male, female, and unisex shower and only one toilet, if the hostel is more crowded it would be inconvenient. That is our only complaint. The location is in the center of Kokusai-dori Shopping Street, near Tsuboya Pottery street, a 9 minute walk to the Makishi station which connects to the monorail extending from Naha Airport. LAPSI is a villa near Maehama Beach in Naha.
You can see a spectacular contrast between the endless clear "Miyako blue" sea and the 7 km long white sandy beach.
The house is partially shared with the landlord, but the bedrooms are keyed for your private.
Since there are two bedrooms, there may be a situation where there are 2 groups of guests staying.

The host, who is from Miyakojima, his family (wife, 3 elementary school children), and 3 dogs will welcome the guests.

The space
You can rent out a two-floor, two-bedroom (70㎡) wooden log house.
All of the wood is pine, cut and sent from Finland.

Parking lot：
You can park about 3 cars in the space in front of the house.

Transportation：
There is no train service on Miyako Island, and buses only go to the central area.
There are no cab services around the facility, so if you are going out for drinks at night, the most common and inexpensive way is drive to the city center and use the services of a substitute driver on the way back.

Other things to note
About the landlord and family
Since it's a family of five, we hope you'll understand that it's full of life.
Also, there are three elementary school age children, so they can be a little over-energetic at times. If you have a family with children of the same age, please feel free to come and visit as they will be happy to see you.

Please note that there is a possibility that another guest may be in the room next door.

About BBQ
BBQ stove is available at our facility.
Please note that charcoal and food are not provided.
Please ask the host on the day of your BBQ.
If it is windy, we may not be able to accommodate your request.

If you are allergic to dogs
Taro is usually outside, but sometimes goes into the living room on the first floor. It is forbidden to enter the bedroom.
We do our best to keep the dog hygienic, but it is possible that some hair will be left behind.
If you are very sensitive, we would like you to take this into consideration when booking.

About the workshop
You can experience a workshop for making Ramie accessories on site. You can make them with local seashells from Miyako Island.
