- "The hotel is good and the front desk staff were very helpful. The decor is a little dated, but the room was spacious and so was the bathroom. The only disappointment that I had was the discrimination by the liquor shop staff against foreign visitors trying to get a drink. The property owners should remove the family running this off license as they are rude (especially the women owner) and make it impossible to get a liquor license. I would recommend foreign visitors to chose a different hotel if they want a drink in Ahmedabad. Just because of this, I wouldn’t stay again."

- "The morning breakfast was excellent with many items served. I would like to compliment the chef for his expertise in food selection and taste. The reservation included many amenities that were not provided initially. When I complained about them at the front desk, I was told they have to be requested which was not clear to us. Once we were transferred into a better room after complaining, everything worked out very well. We will stay there again but will request things at check in or right after we have checked in the room and find them missing. We like the location of this hotel which is very convenient to us for accomplishing our “things to do”."

This cozy single room is nestled on the 1st floor of our traditional wooden home. The large single bed enhances comfort of a secluded retreat. We call this room ‘Malo,’ meaning "The Nest" in Gujarati.

‘The French Haveli’ is an 150 year old, artistically restored Gujarati heritage home. It is a thrill of drama and colours and homeliness. Maintaining its splendid traditional structure, the ‘Haveli’ offers a unique experience of living in the historic community called the ‘Pol’. Living in this house is to experience the Gujarati culture with comfort and luxury.

The Single rooms at French Haveli are the tiny jewels. The Malo has a beautiful red coloured private study just out of the room. A Separate stair connects the Malo from the court.

Windows on the North wall open into a small lane . This lane connects the community spaces , front of french haveli and behind french haveli.

Two doors access to this room that can be opened. These doors and windows give you a control of your experience as per your need, mood or time of the day.
